Still working on this quilt.
I am always amazed at
some of the quilters
that post a new quilt
finish very two weeks.
That is certainly not me.
Seems like mine take
a month, to almost
a year, sometimes. LOL
When do they find the time?
Now I'm trying to decide
how I will finish the
borders.
These are a few layouts.
I take photos of each idea
and then choose, but
I still have a few more to try.
decisions, decisions, decisions!
π€
That takes up some of the time . . .
Hopefully by my next post
it will be finished.
π
Why, hopefully?
because I already have a
couple more planned in
by head.
π
Until my next post . . .
I hope that you all have
bright and sunny days,
if not outside . . .
more importantly in your heart.
π⛅π€️⛅π
God bless you all!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

A scrappy border will look good on that one. That is a block I have only made into table runners. I have enough strips to make a quilt though.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you'll try this pattern soon. You're one of those ladies I was talking about it just makes one quilt after another. I'd love to know the average number of how you make in a year. π
DeleteThat is such a beautiful quilt. How big is it? It looks like it would make a beautiful wall hanging or a "barn quilt" for the side of a barn, only done in wood and painted. Whatever you do with it, I know it will be cherished. It is really beautiful, and is worth the extra time and care you take to make it just right! It really should be framed! I love it. Actually, photographs of it and printed on canvas could be sold online, or pictures of it would make wonderful greeting cards! Just ideas I see when I look at it!! Can't wait to hear what its future will be!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are way too kind. Thank you.
DeleteWow! That is a lot of work! It is beautiful and I can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I can't wait to see it either, LOL
DeleteThat quilt is gorgeous! You have me beat because I've never finished a single quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteWell one day when you're retired you'll have time :)
DeleteIt is going to be beautiful. It took my two and a half years to finish my last quilt. Good things take time x
ReplyDeleteYes they do π₯° and thank you.
DeleteKeep going, Connie. You are doing a beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I can always use a little encouragement.
DeleteThat would be me. No way could I finish something like that in just a couple weeks. It even took me a month to crochet one blanket. This one is looking really good.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann π
DeleteIn the foyer of one of our big thrift stores there are new quilts displayed and this morning I paused to admire some of them. So beautiful. I think quilting must be so rewarding. I'm amazed that anyone could part with the finished product.
ReplyDeleteThey are hard to part with, when you put that much work, time and money into them, but when you part with one your heart goes with it and the person you give it to can feel your love.

DeleteThat really is a gorgeous quilt!
ReplyDeleteThank you Melanie. ♥️π₯°
DeleteThe quilt is beautiful. I don't think it matters how long it takes as long as you're enjoying the process. I hope you're having a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Thank you Betsy. My health is good and that's a blessing that makes everyday a lovely one π₯°
DeleteI think you manage a lot quicker than I do, I have had a quilt almost finished for a couple years now, just needs the border, backing and quilting but I have stopped, probably because my sewing machine area is surrounded by cardmaking items right now :) It is looking great for sure, look forward to seeing what you decide to do with it!
ReplyDeleteYou're very sweet, thank you. I enjoy piecing, the quilting is harder. Just maneuvering that much fabric under my sewing machine is awkward and tiring. I do enjoy hand quilting, but that takes a lot longer and I enjoy quilt as you go. I will be glad when this one is finished. π₯°
DeleteThat's a beautiful quilt, Connie. I do love the scrappy look. I look forward to seeing what you will work on next, and to see this one in its finished state.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Since I already have another one in my head, I am also looking forward to having this one finished π
DeleteOMGOSH-That is an amazing quilt, Connie~. I don't think I've seen anything quite like it. I admire your quilting ability. Maybe one day I will attempt it. I did get a brand new machine before Christmas and haven't even threaded it yet. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteMy I can't imagine having a new machine and not starting a new project by the next day. To me it would be like having a new car and never driving it π. I'm delighted you like this quilt.
DeleteI love this quilt with the colorful scraps you have used. I think I recognize the pattern as one I have used with amore controlled pallet. I love your quilt so much I am digging our a variety of colors from mu overflowing scrap bins. this is just what I need right now. Thank you Connie you are a blessing.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely delighted that I could inspire you to start a new colorful quilt. I hope you enjoy the process of making this one. Also, thank you so much for dropping by and leaving at comment I do enjoy reading them π
