Milking Stool ~ Make-Over

Hi, friends . . . today I thought that I would show you
this little project.

~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~
  I found this little stool at the Goodwill for $2.99.
...and after a little paint,
and a little distressing,
it looks like this :)
ready for any little milkmaid to sit on,
or stand on to reach the sink :)
~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~

I hope you like it .

Keep making the world a prettier place . . .
one project at a time.

~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~
  Have a great day,
Connie
  1. That's cute Connie! You did get a good deal! I bought my milk stool off Craigslist for $10 and was pleased as punch. $3 would have been even better ☺
    1. Hi Kelly, thanks for the visit, it is always a please to see your face pop up in my comment list. It was a good deal . . . I am a bit of a penny pincher, therefore; I'm always looking for super deals. I got that from my Mom. Everyone said that she would hold on to a penny until Able Lincoln yelled ouch, LOL.
    1. Hi Ginny, If I ever get a booth, it will probably go there, unless I find someone that can use it before then. Then it will probably become a gift :) I am delighted that you like it.
  4. Such a great job on the painting. How did you do the graphic - is it reverse Mod Podge? I always love milking stools - you got a deal on it.
  7. What a deal! And, you did a great job. The distressing looks like it really is old. I can't imagine where you found the decal for it. It helps give it a feel of being antique. Very cute!
    1. Distressing a project is always fun . . . I work a little bit of stress off doing it, too. That is if I'm loaded down with any. I guess I should save these type of projects for days when I am stress out, it might be great therapy, LOL.
  9. Very pretty, Connie! I've got my eye out for a little two step stool for my granddaughter to use. She is into washing her hands of the "mesh" lately. While I have stools here she likes to stand on, I'm not really comfortable with it as they really aren't for standing on. The one she uses in the bathroom currently, to reach the sink, is actually a small stool to sit on, but I think it would be nice if she had her own little stool.
    1. Hi Kathy, it wasn't that long ago that my granddaughters needed a little stool, too. They (stools) are a great way to give them a little independence at the bathroom sink . . . "Mesh" how cute :)
  17. I love it! I have an old milking stool in my closet. Hubby used it to put a cold drink on it once and it got a big watermark stain on it. Is my only hope for it to paint it?
    1. Hi Judy . . . try this :)
      1. Spread about 2 Tablespoons of mayonnaise on a paper towel.
      2. Place the paper towel on the white water mark. Press lightly.
      3. Leave the mayonnaise on the stain about 15 minutes.
      4. Lift the paper towel and check the stain. If the mark remains, rub more mayo into it again and check it later.
      5. Stain should be gone. Reapply if necessary.
      Have a wonderful day and thanks for the visit :)
