It feels like the Ponderous to us, LOL. I have been loving having a garden and each year it has been getting bigger. There is nothing as fresh as grocery shopping in the backyard :) Thanks for stopping by. I wish I had a cake baked and lemonade; we could sit on the front porch and talk gardening and kayaking :)Conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08187302890702147585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9136180253380173794.post-84905409357298598662016-06-20T06:12:36.188-07:002016-06-20T06:12:36.188-07:00Thanks for stopping by. : ) What a lovely blog yo...Thanks for stopping by. : ) What a lovely blog you have and I'll certainly be back.<br />We started kayaking a couple of years ago and love it too. Preserving is all new to me, too, but so satisfying :) I purchased "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Seed Saving & Starting", so there's still another thing that I want to learn. I like the idea of being as independent as possible for living off our little plot of land :) One thing that I read that was very interesting is that by saving seed from your garden, the plants adapt to your soil and weather conditions, and therefore the seeds become better suited to your area each year. It's like after a couple years you have seeds that are costume made for your garden. That blew my mind a little bit. Pretty interesting, right?Conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08187302890702147585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9136180253380173794.post-50573442321196157112016-06-19T08:10:37.697-07:002016-06-19T08:10:37.697-07:00I noticed that when I photographed them, that they...I noticed that when I photographed them, that they were a deep bright red, but never thought about the difference. I planted my first Raspberry Shortcake raspberry bush in a pot on the deck this year. I just picked our first berries and they were so sweet and juicy I am definitely going to plant a couple of more. Your Jam looks wonderful, and I have no doubt, having been fresh picked, tastes doubly delicious. There is nothing more satisfying than preserving fruits and vegetables you have grown yourself. We lived very close to the lake, so our home was in the dunes. I remember always picking blueberries in the woods around our house and Mom baking pies, Yum :)Conniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08187302890702147585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9136180253380173794.post-49383960431464087802016-06-18T09:43:05.537-07:002016-06-18T09:43:05.537-07:00Sounds good!
