A Craft to celebrate our Brave Men & Women

I have been wanting something to hang 

out by the gate or driveway

 for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.

 So with paints in my pocket . . 

An idea on paper . . .

And a stack of pickets . . .

I headed out to Steve's Work Shop. 

I started to make it,

and then thought about a friend of ours,

that has a son graduating from

Marine Boot Camp this month . . .

back to Home Depot for more pickets :) 

 It's just as easy to make two.

I hope she likes it.

Here I'm waiting for the paint to dry 
 so I can go in and tweak it a little bit 
and then drill holes

and put in wire for hanging.

 Finished . . .
