Quick Chair Make-Over

Another place to sit on the porch:)
This was a simple and very fast make-over.

I have two of these chairs.
I bought them, maybe ten years ago,
with a little glass top table at Home Depot.
I almost put them in my yard sale last spring.
Now, I'm happy I didn't.
All it took was a quick scrubbing and a can of spray paint:)

Next, I made a quick trip to Walmart
and for $18 I purchased this cushion and
the outdoor fabric throw pillow:)
Viola, New Chair :)
While you're here, do you remember my peas?

Look at them now!

Our grapes are doing wonderfully:)

Morning Glories are saying, "Hello!"

And some of the roses that I planted are starting to bloom.

Life is Good
&
We have so much to be grateful for:)

Here's wishing you all a wonderful week.

Happy Memorial Day!

Connie :)

  1. Wow... that chair looks wonderful. The white paint gave it new life and I'm really loving that cute pillow of the beach scene. It always amazes me at what a little paint can do. Your garden is very lovely, too. The roses and morning glories are beautiful. Happy Memorial Day to you, too... :)

This old chair still has a lot of life left in it, it just started looking tired. Not anymore:)

    1. It works well on the porch. I had five places to sit, but we usually sit out there in couples and I was wanting one more chair and only had room for a small one. I was so glad that I hadn't yard saled theses. Now, I need to think about how to paint the other one:)

    1. Hi Vicky, I know you live in Florida and I wonderful if you know this song. it starts out, "I want to wake up in the morning when the morning glories grow. Where the sun comes peeking into where I'm sleeping and the songbirds say, Hell-o" Anyway, I went to kindergarten in Florida and this was a song that we had to learn for our end of the year program. I have never forgotten it and I have a wonderful story about it:)

    1. Hi Lorrie, I know that everything is growing and getting a great start, just think how pretty everything will look by July and August. I love the warm seasons and getting my hands dirty. There is a joy from dropping a seed in the ground or planting a little starter plant and watching them produce food for the table and bouquets, too :)

    1. Hi Connie, our weather is just starting to warm up. It is suppose to get in the 90's this weekend, so things are really kicking into grow mod. I love watching . . . especial when it is something that starts as a seed in my garden and then produces food. Last year was our first garden and I am in love with the entire process and getting my hands dirty in the garden is a joy:)

He has given all of his equipment away, so we may just eat our grapes, make some jelly and share some with friends . . . that is if the birds don't get them again this year. Thanks for stopping by to say hello :)
