I started sewing them together back in November 2013 . . .
and then I put them up and forgot about them.
Have you ever done that?
Well, I have decided that I need to start
finishing some of the things that I've
started, so now this one
is checked off my list.

It feels so good to say,
"Done!"
I only have four or five of these unfinished projects, LOL
So,Onward and Upward . . .
time to dig out another forgotten project:)
What have you stashed away and forgotten?

Love your hexagon make - it's gorgeous! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . it was about time I finished it, right? It is so easy to stash things away in the cupboard and forget about them. Out of sight out of mind, LOL.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and saying hello.
Hi Connie, I am happy for Patricia at Corn In my coffee pot....but sad for me. LOL. I love the little quilt project. That is a lot of sewing. Very pretty too. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, Oh, I'm sorry you're sad, but that is a compliment to me that you liked what I made. I always worry when I have a give-a-way that I'm putting something in it that will be liked. You're a sweetie pie and thank you for the blessing, you too have a wonderful weekend.
DeleteWow, that is way too pretty to be forgotten about! I just adore the pattern and the colors. Perfect for the season. Congrats to Connie!
ReplyDeleteThank you I am happy that you like it. I think that I could have done a better job quilting it . . . I just wanted to get it done. I'm working on another forgotten project now, but I'm hand quilting it and taking my time. It will probably be a gift, so I want it to be as perfect as I'm capable of doing :)
DeleteOops! I mean Patricia! Clearly not enough coffee yet this morning! ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL, we have all done that a time or two . . . coffee up!
DeleteHi Connie!
ReplyDeleteYes I have lots of forgotten projects! Some are always on my mind though.... With ideas always brewing.
Thanks for the wonderful give away! I'm honored to win it!
Now my project is to get those curtains made for the laundry/mud room and showcase my winnings! 😉
Hi Patricia, I am delighted that you like it and honored to call you my winner. Also, thank you for wanting to show it off in your laundry room. That would be wonderful:) I'll be watching my email for your address and get it in the mail next week.
DeleteCute hexies. With all my sewing I have never made hexies. Maybe one of these days...
ReplyDeleteOh, you will love making them. I like them because they are perfect for a project in front of the TV in the evening with the hubby :) Also, because I think they have such a nostalgic look about them.
DeleteI have one unfinished quilt, I need to get out and finally finish, I am at the mitered border and there is a small one and a large one to put on then on the big border some applique and that has held me back from finishing but I may just have to get it out and finally finish it :) Yours is just lovely, that is on my wish list to do a hexagon quilt!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, I hope that my mission to finish my unfinished projects can inspire you to get cracking, LOL. I'll be watching for a post on your quilt . . . don't rush it though . . . I got in a hurry with this one, and I know that I could have done a better job if I would have slowed down and taken a little more time. Hexies are so much fun to make, you will love them:)
DeleteOh my its beautiful! Well done for getting it finished!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your giveaway winner!
Hi Christine, I'm delighted you like my little quilt . . . it is nice to have it finished. Good size for getting cozy in front of the TV:)
DeleteI have made 3 Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts. Seeing your project makes me want to make another one. But, I need to be like you and finish some of the projects I have.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, it is so easy to start a project and then have something come up that takes priority . . . we put the older one away and "Out of sight, out of mind". I'm on a mission to get a few of these forgotten projects completed. Wish me luck:)
DeleteI frequently start projects and never finish them. I have a box somewhere full of unfinished things. Good job on finishing that one. It looks great.
ReplyDeletecongrats to Patricia. I love the name of her blog. I have to go over and check it out
Good Morning Ann, thanks for stopping by. It feels good to have this unfinished, finished, LOL.
DeleteYou'll love Patricia she is a very sweet gal . . . like all of my blogging sisters:)
Hi Connie, Oh, my that sure is pretty and looks like a lot of work. I am not going to think about the things waiting for me to finish. Right now I can hardly keep the kitchen and laundry done and pick the few things from the garden. The weather here today is suffocating. Hot and muggy. I don't know how you survive your hot weather this year. Take care! Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, today we are having an overcast day and our temperatures have dropped to 81 today . . . that is a huge drop and it feels so good:) I'm happy that you like my quilt. I've pulled another out from hiding and I have it on my frame and starting to hand quilt it. I forgot how much I enjoy hand quilting . . . it is so peaceful and relaxing. I do hope that you get to feeling better soon. Does it seem like your new medicine is helping?
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, but don't look too close, there are some stitches that I could have done better, if I hadn't of rushed so much :)
DeleteWow, your quilt is beautiful. So much love and time has obviously gone into it.
ReplyDeleteI did put a lot of time into piecing it, but I should have taken more time in quilting it and it would have been better. I just wanted to get it done:)
DeleteWell done Connie, it's beautiful. This past 12 months I finished a quilt I started 25 years ago.... yippee!! I have a load of other WIP :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn, wow, 25 years, you had to feel good finishing up that one:) I am not a texter so I am not familiar with WIP . . . I'm sure the P is project, but you will have to explain it to me . . . I'm an old dog learning new tricks every day, LOL. I'm delightful that you like my quilt:)
DeleteLove, love, love the hexi quilt Connie! So pretty...love the colors! Congratulations to Patricia!!! Hope you're having a lovely weekend!
