Little Vintage Trailer Toaster Cover

I have been seeing these adorable
vintage trailer toaster covers on Pinterest
and
I've been wanting to make one for my kitchen.
 Well, today I had the time . . .

So, voila!

We have started this low-carb diet,
because Steve has diabetes,
and we have not been using the toaster
that much lately.

So, why not make it cute:)

Last night I went to the mailbox
and retrieved about three days worth of mail.
Inside was the newest copy of
Country Living Magazine.

To my surprise,
on the cover was  . . .

 My wonderful vintage scale!
A gift from my sweet friend and neighbor,
last summer.

Well, I guess I'm styling with the
best of them:)

Have a great day
&
Keep Smiling!

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

I have been looking for my vintage red scale for several days now. When I find it, I am putting come vintage linens on top of it.

    1. Hi Patricia, thank you . . . I'm trying to keep my kitchen vintage. When we moved in, Steve wanted to tear the old cupboards out and put in new ones . . . "OH, No You Won't!" I love my old cupboards and they are made of real wood (rare these days) and built to last :) So, I've decorated in order to show off my old cupboards . . . they're not fancy, just solid. I'm delighted that you like the trailer cover.

  4. I love that toaster cover, I have been looking for something similar for my food mixer. I hope your diet goes okay, I have lost 22lbs on a high protein, low fat vegan diet but still eaten tons of food! Xxxx

    1. Hi Fran, well one of the best things is that when Steve checks his sugar it is right on the money, most of the time. We are also finding that by cutting down the crabs we are not as hungry all the time :) I love my carbs, so I am surprised at how much better I am starting to feel without them.

    1. Hello Sonny, Welcome, I am so happy you stopped by to visit. We have one of those toasters that has two extra long slots, it's really nice for the round loafs of sour dough and rye, they fit better without having to cut them in half :)
I love your home and the way you use green and white and elements of nature . . . it is just beautiful :) 39 pounds that is fantastic!

  7. Hi Connie, That toaster trailer cover is just adorable! I am on Pinterest on facebook. Would I just type in vintage trailer cover directions? My toaster is shaped more square but don't see why it couldn't be adjusted! Keep on keeping on and good luck losing weight! Nancy

    1. Hi Nancy, the regular sized toasters are actually much cuter when covered with the trailer covers. Ours is a bit too long, but that is the kind of toaster we have, and I'm not getting another, until this one bites the dust, LOL. I just pinned my fabric over the toaster to make my own pattern. Very easy and fun :)

  9. Love your toaster cover....so sweet. I have lost almost 40 lbs....just not eating as much as I used to. Trying to control the blood sugars too and the high blood pressure. Seems to be helping. I still have a ways to go, but a lb. here and a lb. there is better then no lbs...."so carry on...and lose the lbs."

    1. Good Morning Cindy, thank you. Before this low carb diet we were using the toaster everyday, and the cover would have been on and off all the time and getting dirty . . . now that it just sets there not being used much, I think it will look a lot cuter all dolled up, LOL

  12. I do love your toaster cover. I think I'll be making a tea cozy in a similar style for our old ( 1993) but not-so-vintage trailer. I am loving vintage trailer news and décor !

I hope your diet is going well , hard work but so worth it.

  14. Hi Connie, your caravan toaster cover is just so professional looking...not to mention adorable!!
I've been so busy of late...I caught up with your other posts just now. Your haircut episode I understand - have had this happen too!
However with a short short do at least you can make a feature of fun or lovely earrings and they will SHOW! Mine never do.
    Do you like wearing earrings?
    Blessings!

    1. Hi Alex, that is something I did after I got home . . . I went to my jewelry box and got out some old earrings that I never wear. Maybe if people are focused on the earrings they won't notice the bad hair, LOL.
