Autumn Is In The Air

I had a little fun this weekend . . .
Our neighbors were away for the weekend,
so I planned a little surprise for them.
Her favorite candy is candy corn . . .
  so I made this sign.
I cut some wood scraps in the shape of
candy corn,
And made a drop cloth bag to
hold candy corn :)
 When everything was made,
I loaded the tractor cart with  chrysanthemums,
pumpkins and corn stocks and away I went.
Oh, these pumpkins are from my garden,
corn stocks, too:)

The egg bucket and chickens
are her's and were already on the porch.
So I tweaked them into my surprise.
I love that egg bucket!
 Welcome Home . . .
and this is hanging on the door
filled with
Candy Corn, of course :)

Have A Great Day!
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

    1. Good Morning Kay, I think that we would make lovely neighbors, but as far as me being a good neighbor, I'm just trying to be half the neighbor that my neighbor is to me. Wow, that's a lot of "neighbors" for one sentences, LOL.

    1. Hi Debby, thank you for your kind words. I've never grown pumpkins before so it was fun having them to share and making the sign and the corn was just a lot of fun for me. The couple that live next door to us are the best . . . they share their love with everyone they know and it was fun being able to give them a little of the kind of thing they do for others all of the time :)

    1. Hi Vicky, I had no idea that candy corn was so popular. Something that I always liked in the fall was my Momma's homemade popcorn balls. She made them with Karo syrup. I haven't had one of those in over 55 years years.

  34. Hi Connie,

Your gardening shed looks great! At first I thought it might be a chicken coop!

I bet your neighbor was tickled pink when she saw her new porch decorations and a bag full of candy corn!! Yum.

As for me; haven't been in the mood to blog. It's terrible, I know. I've been back to work full time for about seven weeks and I'm also trying to get my condo ready to put on the market. That's taken a lot more time than what I thought. I've had the ceilings re-painted, painted a bathroom and painted my front door. Maybe I should finish one room and share.... haaa.

    Thanks for thinking of me!

    Hugs,
    Kay

    1. Hi Kay, It is always a delight when I see that you have visited and left a comment. It was not fun when we sold our house last year . . . we lived in it for thirty-three years and it was a fine home to us, but when it was time to get it ready to sell and it seemed like there was so much we had to do to get it ready. It's a process and I feel for you. Just know that I think of you often and wish you the very best. A quick sell and on to a new adventure :) We finished the Potting Shed today and I just posted photos about 5 minutes ago . . . come take a look.
