I have a blogging problem
that has been going on for a very long time.
I'm hoping by sharing it,
one of you will have an answer for me.
I am constantly typing a comment
on one of your blogs and
then when I hit publish it
doesn't work . . .
Oh, sometimes it won't
even let me type.
Do any of you have the same
problem?
Have any of you found
a solution?
I would certainly be interested
in your comments on this subject.
It's aggravating when I visit
your lovely blogs and can't
leave a comment to let
you know how much I
enjoy your posts.
Have a lovely weekend,
&
God bless you all.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
I have no idea, but those are adorable puppies! 😃
ReplyDeleteThe only problem I have at times is that when I'm typing a comment it just disappears. I noticed it happens when I don't wait for the page to completely load. Once the page is completed loaded I can leave a comment. Don't know if this helps anyone.
ReplyDeleteWish I could help with your issue though don't have an answer. I do know blogger has issues with email addresses that aren't gmail, with dropping comments after they've been approved, not sending them to your email account for response, etc. I hope someone can give you an answer to this issue.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie! I'm afraid I am no help. I don't have an issue with commenting. I hope someone can help you.
ReplyDeleteConnie, I've had issues with Blogger... but not the one you mentioned. I haven't had any problem leaving a comment, but if the site uses moderator, the comment may not appear until the blogger OK's it... which means it won't show up right away. That's all I know.
ReplyDeleteI am not an expert by any means. But I was having a problem uploading things to Shutterfly and creating projects that I used to be able to do with no problem. At the time I was using a Microsoft Windows thing, I think Explorer, to log into the internet. Someone told me to switch to Google Chrome and, by gosh, it solved the problem. Maybe it is whatever platform you are using to log into the internet. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this happening to quite a few bloggers, but it hasn't happened to me, yet. I don't know of any solution. It's frustrating, to be sure.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie! I have the same problem with my iPad and iPhone. I cannot comment on blogs on them. But I can comment with my laptop. That's why I usually only comment on blogs in the morning and late in the evening, that's when I'm sitting with my laptop. I don't know why blogger works that way now. I certainly used to be able to comment using both devices. It does get frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful photos today. I see another quilt is in the making. That is a brilliant way to store the hexies.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
The only thing I can think of is that you're using a browser that's not compatible with certain blogs, such as ones that use Wordpress. What browser are you using - Safari or Explorer? If so, try Chrome. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had this problem Connie, but I can imagine it must be extremely frustrating. I hope someone has an answer for you.

Hi Connie, I haven't had this problem but I find when I do have problems with techie stuff rebooting my computer or device sometimes helps! I hope you can solve it.
ReplyDeleteI have an occasional problem comments just disappearing but not often. Others with certain email addresses are not able to comment on my blog for some reason but I don't know why
ReplyDeleteSome comments I leave do not appear right away or not at all.
ReplyDeleteLike Melanie's comment above, I have to switch from Safari and go to Chrome.
Hope this helps.
Happy Spring.

Connie, it seems that ever since blogger changed their user interface, problems are more common than before. Sometimes the use of "embedded" comments is a problem. You can try to contact blogger as feedback, although they aren't as responsive as they used to be. Other than that, I agree with Melanie, try a different browser.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie- I have not had a problem similar to what your experiencing....if I want to leave a Comment on a Blog I usually click on 'Comments' on their Blog - and the Window to type in usually appears and away I go. Hope this helps. Best Wishes. KEV.
ReplyDeleteThere are far too many blogs on which I cannot leave a comment. I still read the blogs but feel a bit like a stalker.
ReplyDeleteI find that happens often, my comment is not accepted. I was using Foxfire, changed to Microsoft, and I still cannot post??
DeleteWell that's aggravating! I'm sorry that I can't offer any suggestions, as I've not had that issue.
ReplyDeleteGood luck figuring it out.
Love all your hexies! You will make something wonderful with them, I'm sure.
Smiles :)

I havent noticed the problem, but I dont always check to see if my comments have arrived.
ReplyDeleteI have had this happen a few times but I always thought it was me doing something wrong!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie. The only problem I seem to have is when I'm typing away and accidently hit the sign out tab then everything disappears. It could be, as others have suggested, the programme you are using is incompatible to the blog you are trying to comment on. I use Chrome which seems to work fine. Sorry I'm not much help really.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have that particular problem, although, like Elizabeth, I don't always check to see if my comment was published.
ReplyDeleteLove that quote, and it's so true! Hugs.
I have not had that exact problem but for some time now I have not been able to reply to any comments on my blog. I used to be able to but that has changed. I googled the problem but I'm so techno-challenged that the answer didn't make any sense to me. I hope someone can offer a solution.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, I would ask what browser are you using? Chrome seems to not have so many glitches! I’ve written a whole post and it doesn’t publish once or twice! Love your photos with the lovely flowing edges!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are having this problem I do know that Blogger works well with Google Chrome so maybe that is the problem, I hope it is something as easy as that :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I wish I were able to help, but like others, I only notice it happening when I don't wait for the page to load. Also, I mainly use my laptop. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie.. I agree.. you almost need Chrome these days for anything! some things just don't work when you don't use Chrome. I do see when you comment on my blog sometimes, so it must be working? Just be aware, if the blog is moderated (meaning the blogowner looks at the commments first before they are published), then your comment won't show up, but there WILL be a line that says "your comment won't show up right away, etc.". Also, when you comment, be sure the box below where you reply shows that it is you and with a "google" email. I think you have to be always signed in to your google email account on the device you are on when trying to comment. When my computer was down, and was using my husband's computer, I coudldn't comment on any blogs as I wasn't signed in (on his computer) to My email account, or it wasn't open or something like that. When I'm on my tablet, it's the same thing. I'm not sure if that's the case if it's a wordpress blog, but if a blogger blog, then if you comment, you have to show below the comment box that it's you and your google email. I wish there was someone EASY to call to get the answer! I know it's very annoying not to be able to comment! Have a great day otherwise! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI haven't had this problem, but how annoying for you. Hope you find the answer
ReplyDeleteJillxo
This does occasionally happen to me.
ReplyDeleteI've found the best solution is to come off the blog I'm trying to comment on and then reload, but wait for it to reload completely.
Hope this may help.
All the best Jan
I found, that if I clicked on where it says Subscribe to post comments it works.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you're having this problem... and I think many of the ladies have offered some good suggestions. A good idea is just to reboot the computer, as sometimes things get murky if the computer hasn't done a restart in a while. If you continue to have problems, you might reach out to the Fairy Blogmother friend of mine, Linda who is excellent at figuring out some of those things. The link to her blog can be found on my blog. Blessings to you dear friend, always love to see your cheerful smiling face :)
