Hoping You Had A Wonderful Thanksgiving

I haven't posted in quite a while.

So I'm using my phone to try to get one out.

This little mouse pin cushion

is one I made somewhere

between 15 and 20 years ago.

I wish I could find the pattern again.

I'd like to make a few more
as gifts for my sewing friends.

When I'm sewing I let the scraps

fall on the floor

and

don't clean up until

the end of the day or

the project is finished.

It can get quite messy 🥴

I've been working on coasters

and mug rugs

that go along with my Christmas

decorations in the living room.

And I've been making bowl cozies

as Christmas gifts.

🪡🧵25 in all 🧵🪡

I've also started a new quilt
for a winter project.

🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵

Well, that's how I've been
spending my spare time.

Thanksgiving was a lovely time
spent with family and friends.
I have so much to be grateful for.
The Lord has blessed me beyond belief.

When I look back on my life
I am amazed at how I started
and how the Lord has change
my life.

I am awe stuck that the God
that created the universe
loves me so much.
Not only did He send His only Son
to save me . . .
He is with me always and longs
to be a part of my everyday life.

He loves us all that much.

God Bless You All!

  2. Hi Connie.....I think you got your mojo back! Looks like you have been SUPER busy and making darling things! I love bowl cozies. I have the pattern and bought the heat resistant filling, but have yet to make any!! The mouse is adorable. Love the quilt blocks you are making. You are smart just letting the sewing scraps stay on the floor. When I sew, I keep trying to pick up the pieces as I drop them! Spend way too much time doing that! I'm going to try your method! I'm busy making cards to go into the shop where I sell them. Hope I make time to make my own to mail out. Hope your day is beautiful! Marilyn at Pink Paper Cottage xoxoxo

  4. I love your little mouse pin cushion! He's so cute, even with the pins stuck in him, poor widdle mousey! LOL. I love the coasters and the bowl cozies too! What lovely gifts those will make! I really love to see the things you do and create. You are an inspiration! I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. So did we, and as much as I enjoyed it, I'm glad that's behind us so now I can get ready for Christmas! I am thankful for the blessings of family and friends and so many things I can't count. We are truly blessed to be God's children! And I'm thankful for you. May God bless you and keep you always.

    1. Thanks, I've just not taken time out for much blogging lately. I've got a lot of catching up to do. Thanks for stopping by, I'll have to reciprocate and see what you're up to. I always enjoy reading your posts.

  7. That is such a sweet little mouse! And I also. love the beautiful decor you're making and the bowl cozies. I would like to make a couple of those for Dennis and I. I do the same thing with I sew. I just clean up when I'm finished for the day. I'm still struggling with blogging since I can't do it on my phone anymore. It seems so difficult to email myself photos, move them to the blog and try to get them sized correctly. It takes a lot more work and is so time-consuming. But I truly enjoy keeping in touch with all of my friends and letting you all know that I'm keeping you in my prayers.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

    1. Hi Betsy so nice hearing from you and thank you for signing your name to your comment since it posted as anonymous. It's doing that more and more with people, I don't understand why. I'm really behind on reading other people's blogs as well as posting it just seems like time is slipping away so fast these days. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and God bless you.

    1. I hope my friends like their bowl cozies. I love the one that was made for me. In fact I've just heated a slice of pie and topped with ice cream. The cozy is a wonderful way to prevent the bowl being to hot to handle.

  12. Love that cute little mouse! And looks like you've been as busy as one. ;-) We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner here, just the three of us (me, husband, son). Played Yahtzee after dinner.

    1. I love playing games, but haven't played Yahtzee in a long time. Just lately I started inviting a few ladies over for lunch and Domino's. It's been a lot of fun. So happy to hear that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I googled mouse pin cushion and all types came up, but not quite like yours but then again I only looked at the first few of them :). Those bowl cozies come in very handy, wow you got a lot made! Such pretty coasters too. The quilt is going to be quite colorful, neat design, look forward to seeing what you do with it :). Happy December!

    1. That was so sweet of you to look for the mouse pattern. I'm sure I have it around here somewhere, but when I moved from the sewing Barn into a spare bedroom in the house I really had to downsize and I still have a lot of my sewing supplies still stored out in the barn in boxes and tucked away here and there. Maybe after Christmas I'll have time to dig out there and find them. I can always make mouse pin cushions for next years gifts.

  15. That's an impressive stack of bowl cozies. I've thought of making some for gifts, too. Guess I'd better get cracking. Right now I'm making two flannel nightgowns for my little grandgirls and the floor is littered with clippings and thread. Like you, I don't clean it up until I've finished the project.
I hope you find your sewing mouse pattern. I know I've seen one before.

    1. I think I may have put a link to the pattern in one of my past posts, years ago when I made these. I'm going to go through some of my old posts and see if I can find it. I hope you take pictures of the nightgowns I'd love to see them although I know you don't want to post them before Christmas. Wouldn't want to take a chance on spoiling the surprise. God bless you sweet friend;)
      And happy sewing.
