I have been so busy around here cleaning up
the neglected area behind my garden boxes,
that until I mowed the lawn Friday,
I hadn't noticed my beautiful roses.
So, it's time to slow down for the weekend.
And enjoy the blessings all around me.
Aren't these lovely :)
I hope that all of you took a little
time off to enjoy the simple things in life,
and that you had a pleasant weekend.
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Oh how pretty! Is the purple salvia? What is the pretty red flower? Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Angela, thanks for visiting. I can not remember the name of that flower, I purchased them two years ago on a discount rack at Lowes.
DeleteSuch beautiful blooms and looking so pretty all together. We were blessed with a surprise visit from our eldest daughter and her family so we had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteConnie...your flowers are beautiful!!
ReplyDelete~Cindy
Thank you . . . In all my years i've never thought that I could grow roses; then we moved here with all this room and sunshine. I am loving them :)
DeleteLovely!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteLove your roses. We had a bunch, then the rains came and ruined them.. now we're waiting on the next batch. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope it doesn't rain again on them . . . It is fun adding new plants to our landscape. This place was pretty barren when we moved here two years ago. My goal is to change that and if I can make it half as pretty as your garden, I will be a happy camper :)
DeleteThat's a pretty bouquet-in-a-jar. The Roses are especially lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled that mine are blooming this year.
DeleteBeautiful, beautiful roses! Sometimes when I am working in the yard I think about that saying...stop and smell the roses. Most of the time I just work and forget to look around and enjoy. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Henny, I think we all do that. My girlfriend and I have been walking and one day we decided to walk downtown. We were passing this whimsical bike art and I said that I bet travelers in our town stop and take their photo with it, but we just walk on by. Sometime we just really need to stop right where we are and look around us. There are interesting and beautiful things everywhere if we take the time to open our eye, LOL.
DeleteWhat beautiful flowers! TFS the photos. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, I feel so old, I had to Google TFS where I got a list of possibilities. You are welcome, I am happy you enjoyed them :) Thanks for educating me, too :)
Deletewhat a pretty arrangement. I was out earlier enjoying my peonies and their heavenly scent
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, Peonies have got to be one of my favorites. I have been trying to think of the best place to plant some. Are yours in the sun, shade or part shade. We get very hot summers. It hit 100 yesterday and is suppose to reach 101 today and summer doesn't start for two more weeks.
DeleteVery pretty! My roses are a bit sad because of all the rain we've had.
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace
Around hear it's the heat that hurts them; we get very little rain. I'm constantly watering :)
DeleteOh Connie, the roses really are very beautiful! Enjoy them! And thanks for sharing, blog sistah! Susan
ReplyDeleteHello Susan, it is always a pleasure when I see that you have visited and left a comment.
DeleteYou're a sweetie :)
Oh my Connie, your roses are gorgeous! They certainly are behavin. :) Love your photos. Each one is just gorgeous! I was swooning over that checkered table and cherry pillow I spied. Two of my loves!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Hi Jann, last year I came across this king size tee shirt sheet with cherries, at the Goodwill. I think I paid 2 or 3 dollars for it. I was able to cover the back cushion on both of my porch gliders. I love them too and hope they hold up for a few years. My roses are small and not giving me lots of blooms, but the oldest rose that I have is two years old, so someday they will be nice like yours, which I think are gorgeous.
DeleteThey are beautiful and guaranteed to add cheer to anywhere. Lovely xxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Fran, I've never grown roses before moving here. Therefore; my rose bushes are small, the oldest being two years, but they will grow. This property was so barren other than trees and the lilac bushes, so I am excited everything I dig and plant something new.
DeleteThey are lovely, we have a rose bush on the side of the house and I will have to say about the only time I look at it is when I am using the weeder along the house, so about once a week....
ReplyDeleteWe are all guilty of that. It's a fast paced world, we all need to learn to slow down. I am in the process of trying to learn it myself :)
DeleteJust love your roses Connie ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
So pretty! You can't beat fresh flowers in a mason jar! Hopefully things are slowing down around here. I hope to have a relaxing summer with my family. Maybe take a few day beach trips, nothing major.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the beach . . . Happy Summer to you, sweet friend :)
