Do you remember this chair?
I made this slipcover almost 20 years ago.
This chair has been in some room
of our house ever since.
Well, this is the reason for the slipcover.
I decided to buy two new chairs
for the living room
and put this chair and
my old brown recliner
out in the barn.
The buffalo plaid was perfect
for the barn.
So, I just made new arm covers.
Here it is finished.
Easy fix :)
And here they are in the barn.
I found this guy at the
Goodwill Thrift Store.
It fits my theme wonderfully
and such a handsome fellow :)
Well, that's my blog for today.
Thanks for stopping in to visit.
Enjoy your weekend
&
God Bless You All.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteSuch a cozy welcoming room.
ReplyDeleteA place for guests to stay.
DeleteThat was a great find at Goodwill! He's so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour chair looks nice. An easy fix for you would be overwhelming for me. :)
Nice job on the arm covers. You are so talented!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the slip cover in all the different blues. So Pretty.
I know, I put it through the washer and packed it away just in case I decide to go back to the blues. It's time consuming making a slipcover that fits well so I didn't want to get rid of it.
DeleteOh I love the "new" repurposed chairs!! They look great! I bet your barn is very very cozy. Maybe one of these days I can see it in person! Hugs! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI would love that :)
DeleteConnie, you are so talented! The chair look so good! Funny, you talk about putting it in the barn...the barn looks prettier than a lot of homes. :) I love the doggie!
ReplyDeleteThank you:) Beulah is pretty special she's my best girl and so much company.
DeleteYour barn looks so cozy especially with those 2 "new" chairs. You did such a great job of recovering the arms where they were worn.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Now I can get a few years out of them 😊
DeleteI adore your barn and it's decor. The chair looks perfect there. Great job! What a wonderful talent you have in sewing, painting and decorating. Beulah looks like she approves and would like to stay in the barn! :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Betsy
She's getting where she follows me everywhere I go, my little curly shadow.
DeleteThat chair looks great. I would never have been able to pull that off. I love buffalo plaid
ReplyDeleteThe Buffalo plan works great in the barn.
DeleteI love your blog! You are so talented! May God continue blessing you!
ReplyDeleteYou can fix anything and make it more beautiful! I would love spending time in the barn!
ReplyDeleteIt's a sweet place for guests to stay. I should take a barn vacation and spend a few nights out there myself and see what's it's like.
DeleteYou are so clever when it comes to repurposing things! I always enjoy your projects.
ReplyDeleteThanks . . . I always hope that someone that see them will get inspired to redo something they already have but are maybe tired of. It's fun to take something old and make it new again.
DeleteHow creative and clever you are! Re-purposing and adapting are invaluable skills these days. I wish more of us used them. Have a blessed week, Connie.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteLiving on a tight budget helps us be more resourceful, LOL
nice to have a comfy chair for your barn. The covers look great!
ReplyDeleteThank you 😊
DeleteLove the buffalo plaid. What an amazing fix!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it just looks like it's made for the barn :) The other chair (recliner) looked so much bigger in the house.
DeleteI tried making a slip cover once and got so lost in the process. Yours turned out great! Looks great in the barn too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. As for making slipcovers, they take patience and they are a bit tricky. They are not my favorite project. Thanks so much for following my blog 😊
DeleteConnie, thank you for following me back :) I love old school blogging too and love when I find just regular ladies to share the space with. Have a wonderful week!
