A Walk Around The Garden

Welcome do my humble blog.
I thought you might
enjoy a walk around the garden
with me.
πŸ’—
Before we begin, I would like to
thank all of you for the sweet
comments on my repurposed
chandelier, from my last post.

I'm doing this post
over my phone so
I hope it turns out alright.

The day starts out
with sheets on the line.

Followed by checking the garden for weeds
and anything that needs watering.
It's still very early in the season
and I'm still waiting
for some things to sprout.

I can hardly do a post
 without showing off my clematis,
it's beautiful this year.

My bridal veil is just starting to bloom.
I think it's called spirea,
but I've always known it as bridal veil.

The chives are blooming.
After I took this photo
I clipped all the blooms off
so it wouldn't go to seed.

And of course the peonies
always steal the show.
It's too bad they don't Bloom longer.

Chamomile is blooming.
If you were here I'd bake a cake
and make a pot of tea πŸ₯°

A garden tour would not be complete
without a photo of my helper
and my doorbell sign.
I love them both ♥️

Thanks so much for stopping by

I enjoy reading them so much.

The Simple Life

Do you remember

when every backyard had a clothesline . . .

and laundry day smelled like sunshine?

🌻🌸🌼🌷🌷🌼🌸🌻

I'm an old soul . . .

that has always been drawn to the

simple pleasures in life.

🌻🌸🌼🌷🌷🌼🌸🌻

Sitting on the porch.

A glass of cold lemonade.

A fresh bouquet picked from the garden.

🌻🌸🌼🌷🌷🌼🌸🌻

The song of a bird.

🌻🌸🌼🌷🌷🌼🌸🌻

Give me the simple pleasures

in life . . .

🌻🌸🌼🌷🌷🌼🌸🌻

Relaxing in the evening

with a good book

or an old movie . . .

feet up, dog beside me,

minding my own business.

Tell me, what is better than that?

🌻🌸🌼🌷🌷🌼🌸🌻

(That's the good life:)

🌻🌸🌼🌷🌷🌼🌸🌻

DO NOT

WORRY

about anything,

PRAY

about

EVERYTHING

PHILIPPIANS 4:6

🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

So I leave you with this . . .
don't get caught up in the
hustle and bustle of this world.

Relax and let God take care of you.

Until by next post . . .
God bless you & keep you.

A Visit From Jack Frost

We got our first frost last

night and the season

for growing is over.

Good bye to bouquets picked

fresh for the table.

A couple of weeks ago

I thought that this would

be my last bouquet of the

season . . .

But now with our visit from

Mr. Jack Frost

I'm sure this one is πŸ˜’

I do enjoy picking fresh

flowers for the table.

Harvesting the last

of my carrots and onions.

It's been a very busy

couple of weeks.

Working to clear

and clean

the vegetable garden.

A trip to the ER

followed by an appointment

with a orthopedic surgeon.

(all is well . . . I'm

getting better and no need

for surgery . . .

Boy, that took a load off!!!

A beautiful gift from

a friend of this little

blue chicken.  She has

chickens in her decorating

but mostly red, brown and black.

She knew that blue is my color

and before donating to a

charity shop she asked

me if I'd like it.

Isn't it adorable.

I love it!

Oh, and I purchased

this new living room

rug from Amazon.

It's one of those washable

rugs 9X12, but it was so

heavy that I had to roll

the box in.

It says to use a heavy duty

giant laundromat machine.

I can't image how heavy it

will be wet. I'll need

help when it comes time

to wash it 😳

  πŸ‚πŸ‚πŸπŸπŸπŸ‚πŸ‚

Well, if your still reading,

I just want to say

thank you for visiting

and if you have

the time, please leave

a comment.

I love reading them.

God bless you all.

Some Days

Some days you've got to do

things you don't want to do,

like take a bath!

Hang out the wash.

Pull weeds and harvest.

But when the work is done,

it feels so good,

and you can kick back and relax.

That's when you have time to
enjoy your surrounding
and the fruit of your labor.

Even take a nap 🐢😁🐢

Then there are days when

you have to face the fact

that your Kayaking days are over.

And sell it 😒

My 80th birthday is

right around the corner.

I know that I could get in it,

paddle around for an hour or two,

but on the return . . .

I might have a terrible time

getting out of it.

Let's face it, there are days

when getting out of my

easy chair is hard, LOL.

πŸ‘©πŸ‘©πŸ‘¦πŸ‘©πŸ‘§πŸ‘©πŸ‘©

Thank you all for stopping by

have a wonderful week.

&

God bless you
