Red, White & Blue Quilt Completed :)

It always feels good to have a quilt completed,
and ready for snuggling up with, on a chilly day.

This quilt is a combination of piecing and quilting,
(don't look close, because it is also a perfectly imperfect quilt)

 Stenciling,

 and appliqueing.

 The back . . .

 The binding . . .

and the label :)
I have a sister-in-law that stresses,
that a quilt is not finished until it has a label.
Just in case it lasts for years
and gets passed along through the family.

Do you remember my new fabric?

I've started piecing . . .

 and doing a bit of machine embroidery . . .

 I started this scrapbook when I first got my machine.
It contains all of patterns that I had downloaded.

 I'm using some from Urban Threads . . .
http://www.urbanthreads.com

 and these daisies

 from Oregon Patchworks.
Thank you so much for visiting.
I love comments and read them all.
 My wish is that I could invite you all over
to bring your projects and play with me.
I guess that is kind of what we are doing
when we post and share :)

Have a great day!

I hope you have a little time
to do the things you love to do . . . today.

Keep smiling:)

Finishing Up Another Quilt :)

I was able to set aside a little time to sew today,
and almost finished my latest quilt:)

 I've got the top, bottom and batting joined together.
I've got it all quilted.
This one I quilted on my sewing machine.
It's not easy getting all that fabric under a regular machine,
but if there is a will, there is a way :)

I finished sewing the binding onto the quilt.

While enjoying the view . . .

and enjoying a video of Gone With The Wind.

My binding is turned and pinned,
so tonight while watching TV,
I'll hem the binding and add the label that I made.

If I don't fall asleep in my chair . . .
I just might have it finished tonight :)

This Mug Rug was a surprise
that arrived in my mailbox last week.
Isn't it lovely . . . I really like the button trim,
sew pretty.
It was made by Nancy of:
Cozy Thyme Cottage

Nancy is a sweetheart,
if you haven't checked out her blog,
I'm sure that she would love to have you visit:)

Before I say good night . . .
I wanted to show you the fabric that I have waiting
for me to start my next quilt:)

Have a lovely week.

Give-A-Way #3 Winner

~~~~~*****~~~~~
Good Morning Blogging Sisters
It is a lovely day!
I'm going to announce the third winner in my
Blogging Birthday Give-A-Way,
but before I do I thought that I would show you
some things that I have been working on.
I made this dishtowel,
 and these pot holders for a dear cousin.
Oh, I haven't done card making in so long,
but I made this card to go with the gift above for Susan.
~~~~~*****~~~~~
I took down my Art Barn curtains & banner,
and tweaked them and put them back up this way.
I don't have a photo
but I also moved my sewing machine to this window.
Now I can see outside when I sew :)

This was an old Chinese checker game board.
I don't have a before photo,
but I painted it with crackle paint and then decoupaged it.
I had not played this game since I was a kid and had forgotten how.
So, when my friend Shirley was visiting, the other day,
she showed me how and we played a couple games.
I can't wait to play it with my granddaughters:)
Last, but not least,
I painted these onto denim scraps
saved from the legs of old jeans.
 made these . . .
and started piecing this quilt :)

Okay now it's time to announce the winner!

of this
and this . . .

I promise you will love her warm and friendly blog :)

Now, I'm off to help Steve.
