The New Hair Cut :)

(Steve took the back view photos)

This is what I did today;
10 inches of hair gone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have you ever tried
holding your arm out to take your own photo?
You don't get the best results,
but.........
 I was just excited about my new freedom
and wanted to share my excitement with you . . .
I didn't even realize how my long hair was dragging me down.
Have a great day.
Your blogging sister,
Connie
  1. I remember once as a girl having really long hair and cutting it shorter...and I felt like I lost pounds! Your hair looks great --enjoy it!
  2. You look so great! I love it :D I need a hair cut too. My hair is so thick--when it gets too long I get a lot of headache s because my hair is so heavy.
    1. Hi, I was starting to have a lot of headaches and neck-aches . . . I was thinking that it was (maybe) caused by my hair. This is interesting . . . we'll see if they go away :)
      Thanks for stopping by and visiting . . . I love company.
    1. Hi Claire. Yes I can't wait until my morning shower, to shampoo. They put so much hair goop in it at the salon and I'm a cream rinse . . . clean hair kind of gal. Plus it will dry so much faster . . . that will be a blessing in it's self :)
      Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.
    1. Hi, thank you . . . and yes, it feels so light and freeing. They asked if they could save what they cut off, to use for testing hair color. I've never had anyone ask me that before.
      Have a wonderful day.
  11. I've tried taking my own photo at arms length and they do look a bit odd, but you look great!
    I hope losing all that weight off your head cures your neck and headaches.
    1. Hi Fran . . . They put a ponytail around it before cutting and saved it to use for trying out new hair colors. You can not donate hair that has been permed or that is gray . . . the hair they use for cancer wigs is young undamaged hair (at least that is what I'm told).
      Have a marvelous day,
  22. You look wonderful Connie. It's lovely to see your warm smile and friendly blue eyes. The haircut looks great. I'm growing mine out at the moment but have chopped off 10 inches or so more than once in my life. It does give one a new, fresh feeling.
  24. Oh Connie, you look lovely with the new haircut :). I had cut off my hair (a boy cut) after keeping long hair for years. I did that right after I quit my job last year, a feel-good-new-beginning kind of thing :).
