  2. Connie, you and hubby have done an amazing job on your home over the past year.It doesn't feel like a year that we have been sharing your steady progress with making your house into a lovely home. I love your warm, cosy style, and making do and mend approach.Hope you can get a bit more time to play in that sweet studio you have this year.
    Have a lovely Easter.
    Cheers

    1. Hi Judy, i've been busy building garden boxes and getting ready for spring planting,
but then I think things will slow down a bit and I'll have a lot more time to sew and create :)

    1. Hi Kerin, Thank you so much . . . it is surprising how when we meet and fall in love we think that we know what love is . . . but really with each year you grow so much closer and after a while you realize how much sweeter love is today than you ever could have imagine when you were young. As for the cottage, we have done a ton of work, we still have work to do, but we are at a place where we can breath and take our time now.

    1. Hi Jane, I have been thinking about how you are entering Autumn as we are entering Spring. While we are thinking sandals, you are thinking boots. This big old world is a very remarkable place. I love that we live in an area where there is a change in the seasons. Each one holds it's own beauty . . . as you well know and capture in your gorgeous photos:)

    1. Good Morning Susie, thank you so much, it has been 39 years of enjoying each others company and growing closer in love and friendship with each passing year. It's funny how when you first get married you think that you are so in love, then as the years roll by you realize that, way back then, you were only scratching the surface. Life is good :)

    1. Those are our apricot trees in the backyard. That photo was last year and we had a bumper crop. This year we have pruned them back so maybe we'll see less fruit this year, we certainly had less blossoms this year :) Happy Easter.

  25. How did I miss this? Congratulations on your 39th anniversary. It is so nice in these days of easy divorce to find a couple that are still happily married after all these years, wonderful. That is a truly lovely picture of the two of you xxx

    1. Thank you Fran. I'm sure that you have experienced this too, but it seems like when we married we thought we were so in love . . . but after this many years go by, we realize how much love has grown, that our love back then was really nothing compared to now :) Growing old together and going through all the ups and downs of life together really deepens respect and love. That is if it is with the right person, you see this is my second marriage, my first lasted 11 years and was a living nightmare of abuse . . . so I have to admit that i've been divorced.
