Our Daughter's Birthday Present.

I was sure that I had taken photos of
this quilt before I put it in the mail,

but I guess I didn't,

because I can't find them anywhere.
 I guess that happens.
I was so afraid of posting them too
early and spoiling the surprise.

Best of all  . . .
I got it finished and mailed in time for her birthday :)
It doesn't matter how old our daughters
become, they are always our
sweet little girls :)

Have A Happy Day
&
Keep Smiling.

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  2. What a gorgeous quilt! You are right Connie....it doesn't matter how old they get...:) I can't wait to see Miranda in December! Does your daughter live far from you? Do you get to see her very often? She is a blessed lady to have a Mama as sweet and precious as you. I know she is going to be thrilled with that quilt too. I love the fabrics you chose...so fun and colorful! Hope your week is going well. I was off today and got so much done that I have been needing to get to. Have a delightful Thursday my friend.

    Hugs, Vicky

    1. Hi Vicky, She lives too far away for a weekend trip . . . it is about an eleven hour drive straight through and we need to make a few stops, driving that far :) Then again, it's not near as far away as your daughter. I'm sure it was refreshing having a day off in the middle of the week, maybe you won't have so much to do this weekend and you can get out and have a little fun :) Happy weekend!

    1. Hi Susie, does your mother-in-law like her frame. It took me about five tries the first time I loaded fabric on to it . . . but after I finally figured it out I love it :) It's nice being able to tuck it away when I'm not using it.

    1. Hi Nancy, I quilted it with a little bit of everything. I'm truly a freelancer and don't use a pattern.

    1. Thank you, I know that my daughter loves happy colors and I thought this would brighten up any gloomy winter day and be a good quilt to wrap up in while reading a good book. Now that she is finally finished with text books, she should have time for pleasure reading again :)

    1. Hi Zenia, thank you for stopping by to visit. Yes it is hand-quilted. I enjoy the quietness of hand-quilting . . . I don't do all of my quilts by hand, but most.
I am delighted that you like it :)

    1. Well, I do my best . . . parenting is a learning process, we all know that :) Life it's self is a test . . . we learn to be independent, then we learn how to live as a couple, then a family, and then it reverts back to a couple again. That's the class that I'm in now. They all come with joys and sorrows, and triumphs and losses. Isn't Life Wonderful!

There is just nothing like a homemade gift, it means so much more than something bought at a store!
