Let me tell you . . .
when you are cooped up
in the house for two weeks
coughing your head off . . .
It's sooooooooooooo nice
to know you have sweet friends.
Friends that are thinking of you,
praying for you and sending you
cheery and encouraging thoughts.
Thank you all!
I'm feeling so much better today.
I've quilted and I'm actually
enjoying fixing dinner :)
Our neighbors even popped over
Christmas Morning
with
breakfast for us.
Breakfast Casserole
and
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls.
It's great to be loved :)
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
I'm so sorry to hear you've been sick. I know having such a severe cold is absolutely miserable. I hope you're getting lots of rest, eating very healthy, drinking tea, and taking extra vitamin C and D, etc. Sending you get well wishes!
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie, it feels wonderful to be on the mend and thank you so much for your sweet comment . . . it warms my heart :)
DeleteConnie, just catching up. I hope you are getting better!
ReplyDeleteOh, so much better than last week and the week before. . . there's nothing like being ill, to make a person appreciate good health :)
DeleteNothing like a friendly face (your neighbours) bringing delicious food to lift your spirits.I am glad you are recovering.I used to get Bronchitis every year for several years, so I know how horrible and tiring it is!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, thank you for your sweet get well message . . . I still have a cough, but nothing like it was. It feels good, to feel good again :)
DeleteO my glad your better I was sick as well. Coughing and ciughing so I understand.. Nice of your neighbors to bring over breakfast. Have a fantastic new week with love Janice
ReplyDeleteHi Janice, sorry to hear that you were in the same boat with me . . . especially during the holidays. We had to cancel several holiday engagements, but that's how it goes. It sure feels good to be on the mend . . . here's wishing you a speedy recovery, too :)
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear you've been so sick. Take care of yourself and just take it easy for the next few days...even when you feel better. I know you are anxious to get back to doing the things you enjoy though. Sending you lots of hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, I know that there is a thin line between feeling better and over doing it because you feel better. This has always been a hard line for me to recognize, but as I get older, it it certainly something to take seriously. Thank you so much for your sweet words of encouragement :)
DeleteI'm so happy you're on the mend.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteI am glad that you are feeling better and that your sweet neighbors brought you breakfast Christmas morning! You can't find better neighbors than that! Glad you are doing the things you love to do again. Keep getting stronger! Nancy

I know how you felt....I have been coughing since the day after Christmas.nGlad you are feeling better.hugs,
ReplyDeleteCindy
Hi Cindy, I am so sorry to hear this and seriously hope that your cough doesn't last as long as mine. I read this joke yesterday that said, you know that you are good at multitasking when you can cough, sneeze and pee all at the same time . . . that has been my life for the past two weeks, LOL.
DeleteSO glad you are feeling better. A belated Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteJane
Hello Jane, thank you so much . . . we keep our tree up until the day after New Year's Day, so we are still enjoying our decorations . . . it feels good to be feeling better . . . thanks again :)
DeleteOh dear! I just went back and read about your pesky cold. That nasty bug! I hope it leaves you quick now. Its welcome is long past and it's encouraging that you're feeling better. Between Sweet Steve, your neighbours, and your friends, you are all set. Be well, Connie!!
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie, I am truly blessed with great friends, neighbors and a sweet man. It makes it much easier to be able to kick back and get lots of rest. Can you believe I've finished four books during this time and I'm halfway through another.
DeleteI'm glad to hear you are feeling better Connie... a shame it wasn't gone by Christmas but you may be starting the New Year off on a happier note :-) Take care and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteHello Raewyn, thank you for your sweet and encouraging words. I'm feeling much better . . . still have a cough, but nothing like the last two weeks. You are probably right in the middle of your growing season, but I have started getting seed catalogs in the mail (two just yesterday) so I have a lot to look forward to with this new year approaching . . . there is nothing like being sick and then feeling better . . . to get a gal anxious to getting moving and going again :) I hate having moss growing under my feet, LOL.
DeleteGood news! Glad to hear : )
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . glad to report, too :)
DeleteHow nice of your neighbors to bring your breakfast on Christmas morning. I'm so glad you're feeling better too. Now you can start the new year off right...healthy and ready to craft....lol

DeleteThanks for such a nice visit, Connie, I'm glad you liked the mantel!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear you had a nasty bug---or still have. I caught something in October and it still isn't completely gone. I was on two different antibiotics and spent a week in bed at the very start. It just won't go away. I guess this doesn't make you feel any better! lol!
Take care of yourself and a belated Merry Christmas!
Jane x
Wow, October that is so long. I'm starting my third week . . . it's a hard bug to knock.

ReplyDeleteHi Katie, thank you for the get well wishes . . . this nasty bug seems to be attacking a lot of people, but for the last three days I have slowly been seeing a change for the better. Thank you again, you are a sweetie pie :)

ReplyDeleteHi Carol, Thank you . . . the last three days I have been slowly feeling better. I can breath again and it feels so good, LOL.
DeleteHappy New Year, Connie. Just saw your link over at Kay's and was able to skip over with the link. So sorry to hear you've had the coughing bug (I do truly know what that is like, and it can be so debilitating, because you can't rest or breathe well either). But happy to hear today you felt better, and I loved seeing the lovely quilt project you're working on. (I used to quilt...em..make that buy fabric...in another life. Still enjoy seeing the quilts too). The fish looks yummy, and should help you regain your energy. Wishing you all the best in 2016. TFS
