Have you noticed that so many of our
blogging sisters
are organizing their homes, closets and creative spaces.
It's a good thing and very contagous.
Some of you may remember the stairs I built,
When I turned this loft into a
sleeping & reading room for our granddaughters.
Well, there are two lofts in my space.
So, I built another set of stairs.
Now, I can easily get to my storage attic.
I moved cabinets and counter tops,
and rearranged the whole barn.
I hope you enjoyed the tour!
It is not often that everything is
tidy and organized.
It seemed like a good time to take photos, LOL
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
You've been busy organising your space - and done it well.
ReplyDeleteI did like those hats in one of your photo's, they caught my eye.
Enjoy your day
All the best Jan
Oh! I am a hat person, there seems to be very few of us around. A lot of people collect them, but I actually wear them, LOL.

I just have one question. When can i come and stay in your Aladins Cave!!!!!! Lol. hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteCome on over! Ill put the kettle on.
DeleteWhat a great tour, it is an amazing space. There is so much going on I had to look a couple of times. Love the hats and stands, one of my great loves is a decorated hat. You are certainly well organized.
ReplyDeleteI love hats too . . . to decorate with and to wear :)
DeleteWow! So organized and pretty, too!
ReplyDeleteOrganized for now . . . that's why it was a great time to take photos, LOL.
DeleteIt is easy for me to have three or four projects going at the same time, so it doesn't always look this neat.
Fantastic space Connie..
ReplyDeleteluv CHRISSYxx
Thank you, I do feel very blessed :)
DeleteWOW! What an amazing place! TFS your photos. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, sorry I don't know what TFS means. I'm not into texting so all the little shortcuts blow over my head.
DeleteI am very happy that you like my space :)
What a lovely space you have! No chance to be bored when you are in there! I wound a little lace on a few of my wooden sewing spools I had collected after you had made some spools awhile back. I see you also did that. Love it! Wish I had more bits of lace to wind on them now! LOL! Nancy
ReplyDeleteI like the look of spools with lace, too. Gosh, I wish you lived closer so we could hang out and get crafty:)
DeleteI love what you've done. And you're right, it is contagious. I like how we can encourage each other!!
ReplyDeleteI have found blogging sisters to be so supportive and encouraging . . . we all just want to be happy and have the best home that we can create for our family. Sharing ideas and building up confidence to try something new and to enjoy this journey through life . . . it's a good thing :)
DeleteP.S. Did you make that shelf for your spools so that it would fit the big ones and the average size ones? Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, if you are talking about the blue cupboard behind the chair . . . it is a CD holder with adjustable shelves. I think I paid $5 for it at Goodwill. All that I had to do was paint it :)
DeleteIf you are asking about the shelf in the first photo, that was a Goodwill find, too :)
Wonderfully amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi Gail, you know this was nothing I ever expected to have in my life . . . now I just have to pinch myself to know that I'm still not just day dreaming.
DeleteI like how cheerful it is with all the bright colors. Organized is nice too... slight envy here. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia, I had been saving for many years . . . I just didn't know what for, until we bought this property. It's a dream that I never expected to come true, but I'm delighted that it has :)
DeleteLOve your space!! So nice!! Enjoy, Janie
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . you are a sweetheart :)
DeleteWell, my GOSH, girlfriend, you have a marvelous creative space! Wow wow wow! So sunny and bright, too. You are SOOOOO blessed. And creative, too. Loved seeing your special place. Nice job! Susan
ReplyDeleteHello Susan, I love my space and I'm delighted that you do, too. It is a dream come true, and a saving account that contends less money than it did a few years ago, LOL. It's one of those barns people buy for storage . . . I thought long and hard before spending my stash, but I'm so happy that I did. And yes I feel very blessed!
DeleteI thought I had posted a comment here yesterday but somehow it hasn't appeared yet. I did want to say that you are an encouragement to all of us who want to get tidied up and organized!
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . if I am, I'm just passing along all the encouragement that has come my way :)
DeleteI love your lofts and all that storage.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Especially now that I can get up there easily and safely. I have a true dislike for step ladders. Snakes and ladders, they scare me :)
DeleteLove your creative space!! I've been cleaning up my craft/sewing room too.
ReplyDeletehugs, Cindy
Hi Cindy, I guess it's that time of year . . . fresh organized spaces to start the new year. I do better with resolutions that are about cleaning and organizing, over ones about loosing weight :) You know what they say, "pick your battles" LOL.
DeleteIf I had the space you have, I might actually be organized!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, you are amazingly organized . . . it is much harder when your space is small. Now if I had your space, I would be spending less time creating and more time walking the beach :) I LOVE the beach!
DeleteThis space is absolutely amazing, Connie. I can imagine that you could probably spend the entire day in there! Do your granddaughters like to work on crafts with you when they come over?
ReplyDeleteWorking on crafts is the first thing on their minds when they arrive at grandma's house, LOL. That is why I thought they would love that loft. They still haven't seen it yet. I have many days when I get up and I'm out there my 9:30 or 10:00 and spend all day until it's time to start supper, LOL. It is truly a dream come true for me, I love it and feel blessed. If you lived closer I would invite you over and we could sit our tussies down and make something :)
DeleteThis is an amazing space!!! Great place to create. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteThanks, I like it too :)
DeleteConnie! This is amazing. Your granddaughters are soooo lucky to have you...I more ways than one.
ReplyDeleteThey don't visit much, but I think it is nice to fill that time with lots of good memories. They both love making crafts and reading, so that loft will be a wonderful surprise. Besides that what kid doesn't like the idea of a special place all their own . . . when I was a kid we were always creating backyard clubhouses and one summer we discovered an abandoned tree house out in the woods behind our house.
DeleteYou have created such a beautiful space, it looks so warm and inviting and matches your personality perfectly. I have never seen so many coloured pens in one place, fab! Xxxx
ReplyDeleteI haven't been art journaling for a few years now and I quit making cards further back than that, so some of your pens are probably died out. I need to sit down and go through them . . . when I do I will probably cut that amount in half, LOL. I do enjoy my space and spend a lot of time out there especially in the winter.
DeleteIt all looks fabulous, I really need to do that also but every time I go into my room I just end up making something else instead of cleaning. I bet your granddaughters have such a wonderful time there and you make some beautiful creations!!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to stay organized, I always have several projects going on at once and a few more bouncing around in my head that I want to try. I only take photos when it looks tidy, LOL.
DeleteWow, Connie, what an Aladin's Cave! What a fabulous space you have there. I would spend all day in there and only come out for meals! Thanks for visiting me, it's lovely to meet you.
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
Ps. I'm a hat person too :-)
Hi Alison, I do love my space and I do spend a lot of time out there. Some mornings I get up, hurry through my household chores and then head out their for the day, especially this time of year. Having projects that are fun help keep the winter blues away from the door until Spring shows her beautiful face and I can be outside :)
DeleteHow pretty! That is unbelievable! It is so cute. If you ever decide rent it out, let me know.
ReplyDeleteIt might be a long drive for you, LOL.
DeleteOh Connie, it is so amazing, all of your crafting items, comfortable seating, sleeping and the lofts...Your granddaughters must love visiting. oh, and a sink for cleaning everything...It's a girls dream area Connie, wow, wow! Oh, you asked about the Polka Dot Flea posters, my son and I design them, have a artist do the drawings and a graphic artist put it all together, it takes a lot of money and effort, but I think it sets the tone for the whole show and it is so fun to see an idea come to life on paper...This years poster is a tad funky and quirky, but I love it
ReplyDeleteCarol
Hi Carol, every time I get a compliment from you, I feel like a kid that got a gold star on their book report :) You deal with so many creative people that I feel like you really know your business. I'm so proud of what you have done to build up your Polka Dot Flea, you are an amazing woman.
DeleteWhat a wonderfully organised & inspiring space.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I love it :)
DeleteConnie, what a great space. Looks like you have everything you need in one space. Love that you built the loft for the grands, something they will always remember..You have more than a few of us very envious!..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteIt's a great place to create . . . what I love most is that I can spread a project out and leave it out until I finish it. Even if it takes weeks.
DeleteI just love your happy place! If we lived closer, we could visit and create in our happy places! I love the size of yours. I would love to do something like this in the future. Maybe when I retire one day and have more time to "play" :) Hope your week is as beautiful as you my friend!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Vicky
Hi Vicky, My Steve and I have each gotten a budgeted allowance for years and I'm a saver. I never knew what I was saving mine for until we moved here. We have a smaller house now, so my creative space would have been cramped in the house. Buying this barn and fixing it up was the best purchase I'd ever made for myself. I love it! Start saving girlfriend :)
DeleteIt's amazing how much you have been able to get into that space and all at your fingertips and easy to find. I'm impressed. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, it is wonderful having a place to spread things out and keep them out while working on projects that take days and weeks to finish. It's a luxury and I feel totally blessed :)
DeleteYour crafting barn is amazing! You are quite talented!
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . I do feel very blessed.
DeleteAmazing, Connie. How can you help but feel inspired just walking into this fabulous space? It looks like you're able to undertake any creative endeavor that strikes your fancy. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteI do have me a good time out there, LOL
Deletewhat a fabulous room your need to be the magazine Where Women Create
ReplyDeleteThank you, what a sweet thing to say. I do love going our there and getting creative :)
