Hello Sweet Friends!
Our visit with the doctor was good.
The CT Scan and the Lab Work both have improved
and now they are going to work
on getting rid of his extreme fatigue,
by giving him 2 sessions of chemo a month
instead of 3 and by eliminating one of the medicines.
As long as his numbers stay in a good range
they will do this and see what happens.
We are hoping and praying for the best.
To get him feeling better and
improve his quality of life.
Thank you each and every one for your prayers.
We are so grateful :)
Yesterday a friend came over
and she and I went for a walk.
It was so good to just put everything aside
and walk and talk with a friend.
We walked the gravel county lane
behind the hay field
and along the irrigation canal.
There is no traffic at all along this trail.
It's very peaceful :)
I've got my garden all planted
and the yard, flowers and fruit trees
are all starting to wake up
from their winter nap.
Garlic chives.
One of my above ground beds.
Grapes and rhubarb.
Apricots.
My first rose blooms.
Yes, I'm still smiling!
We are taking it one day at a time
and trusting the Lord.
His Love and Wisdom is far beyond ours.
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Lovely to hear more good news! I am happy for you both and pray Steve's numbers will remain acceptable and that he can recover some energy and feel better more days of the week. God is good. I see you have grown out your hair again; it looks great . . . long ago we had a conversation about that. I am doing the same (again) even though I'm an old lady now! LOL.

I'm glad things are improving for your husband. It's been a harrowing time for you both.Nothing like a lovely long walk to make things slot back into "normal". Is that rose a "Double Delight"?
ReplyDeleteHi Connie- your Garden looks fabulous- lovely photos you have taken. Best wishes to You and Steve always. Regards. KEV.
ReplyDeleteHello Connie. So glad you got to walk with a friend. At the last church jazz vespers service I went to, we all prayed for Steve. Then I read that things were a little better so I am SO GRATEFUL for the prayers. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you during this difficult time. Your garden and flowers look gorgeous! Susan
ReplyDeleteYippee Connie!!! :) So glad to hear this news! Things are looking so optimistic!! I hope hubbie regains his energy soon, he must be so wiped out from all the chemo. I love your smile, your roses, you garlic chives and your walk photos!!! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteGlad you are still smiling, Connie, and I am so thrilled that Steve is doing so well---that the chemo continues---that the drs are fighting for him as he fights for a cure and/or remission. And, who knows, the longer he remains in a remissive state the more chance a new treatment or drug might come along. You are BOTH in my prayers. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSo GLAD and happy for the good news! Love your green hay fields and the picture of where you walked. It's wonderful to have a friend to share our cares and concerns with! Sometimes a walk will do a world of good. Your place looks so lush and verdant right now.. all the green, and vines and new leaves and fruits sprouting out! What a wonderful place to be at this time in your life. Hope Steve will regain some of his energy and continue on the path to total recovery. Hugs to you both! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteYippee! Keep the good news coming and praise the Lord! Glad you could get out for a walk. Your garden season is farther along than mine and all that good food will help to keep you and Steve well! Hugs. Nancy

ReplyDeleteHi Connie, It’s great to hear the good news on Steve. Will keep him, and you, in my prayers. I love the photos you took on your walk around your place. I admire your ability to get out for a peaceful walk so easily. I’ve been walking around Green Lake each day. If I go really early it can be peaceful. Take care, Connie, and have a happy long weekend. Your blogging friend on the west side, John

ReplyDeleteLovely to see all of your photographs.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to read your better news, continued prayers for you both.
All the best Jan
Dear Connie, I hope and pray he will continue to improve and be able to reduce the chemo permanently. Bill must be doing the same one he is as he does 3 weeks on and one off too. Life is full as long as we focus on the good and the Lord. At times things get overwhelming as I'm sure they do for you too, but still there's time to stop and smell the flowers and give thanks for what we have and not what we've lost (hair anyone?) Be well and remember to take care of yourself too.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, i sure am praying for your Steve and praying for you as well. Love hearing the good news . Nice to see you got the garden going looks great! And you look so pretty in your pictur . Lisa @Sweet Tea N Salty Air
