Enjoying the front porch
after a nice workout in the garden.
All of these photos are either
of the front porch
or taken from the porch.
See the coffee cup.
It's was my favorite
until I went to make tea the other day
and I heard a pop . . .
So, now it holds some hen and chickens
on the porch railing.
I still love it!
Our little buddy, Butchy.
The weather has been nice,
but we are still getting frost
in the mornings.
See the little birds on the ground.
They are eating the seeds
from last year's sunflowers.
Again; before I say goodbye,
I want to thank all of you that are
praying for my Steve.
We appreciate each and every prayer
and consider all of you
blessings in our lives.
God Bless You.
Connie :)
The view from your porch is beautiful! A wonderful place to sit and relax.
ReplyDeleteYou are both in my thoughts and prayers.
Continuing to hold you in prayer. Today is a gift!
ReplyDeleteThat pair of shoes resting there is so cute! Now that May is here will the frost soon be gone in your area. Hope so. I know you must be anxious to start planting. We have already jumped into summer like weather. It was sunny and 87 degrees today.
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, Too bad your favourite mug no longer holds your tea but it looks nice with the hens and chicks in it and you can still enjoy seeing it. Your Goldfinches are so pretty. I have a thistle feeder up and waiting but no finches as yet.
ReplyDeleteStill praying...
Dear Connie and Steve, you are both in our thoughts and prayers as you face this hurdle together. Peace and blessings to you both.
ReplyDeleteThe views from your porch are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to sit on a porch surrounded by greenery. Your favourite mug in view being useful, a view on a cute bird house and watching the birds around your garden. Lovely cheery tulips too! Butchy is there too, looking for a pat and attention! I'm sure he gets plenty of that! I bet those birds really appreciate that big sunflower head full of seeds!
ReplyDeleteAll thoughts to you both!
You have shared such pretty photos with us today Connie. I love all of the signs of spring. It's still been chilly and really windy here in Spokane all week. The weather guy said it will change this weekend and be beautiful. I sure hope so. Thank you for your sweet, sweet comment on my blog today. Rest assured that we're praying for Steve each and every day. Wishing you both God's peace and love as you walk through each day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful view you have from your porch. Too bad about that mug but at least you can still enjoy it. Butchy is just so cute. Give him some ear scritches from me.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely place to rest on a busy day. Keeping you in my Prayers and sending Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful bit of God's beauty from your porch vantage point. My favorite cup just got a 'chip' in the lip that I drink from....so disappointing, isn't it?! lol
ReplyDeleteAs you know, I continue to pray for Steve AND for you! You are sealed in my heart...xo Diana
Your porch looks like a wonderful place to stay!Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie. Early morning frosts are rather nice - a little reminder that mother nature is the queen. We're at 22Deg C here through the day with thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow's Autumn day. You'l be looking forward to Summer I expect and all the new growth coming through from Spring. Thinking of you and Steve- Best Wishes. KEV.
ReplyDeleteNothing quite like a front porch to sit on. Sure love mine.
ReplyDeletePraying for God's healing power and strength and comfort.
Connie I'm so sorry to hear about your husbands illness. Your faith is strong and He will see you through. When we are weak He is strong. Love and prayers. ♥

ReplyDeleteHi Connie, It would be so nice to sit on your porch for a cup of tea! Butchey is so cute! I am sorry your favorite cup got broken but glad you come up with a way to still enjoy it! We bought plants today but it has been chilly and rainy a lot. Hugs from me in Indiana! Nancy
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of your little Spring world, Connie. It must be a lovely spot to sit on your porch and survey your little world. Many hugs and prayerful thoughts to you and your Steve♥
ReplyDeletePraying for his quick recovery and hoping you are taking care of yourself too.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see a post from you. You and Steve are in my prayers. Sitting on your porch looks like a lovely thing to do.
ReplyDeleteSo much spring beauty around you, Connie. You and Steve are thought of and prayed for often. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLoved your porch picture and the garden shoes. Look just like mine! I love the little yellow birds. Do you know what kind they are? We have alot around here in Madras and our cats love them! They've managed to catch two of them. They remind me of little canaries. I'm so glad you have your own little piece of Heaven to enjoy... you and Steven continue to be in my prayers every day... and I pray that the healing angels will come too and work their magic. We've been digging in our yard trying to get out all the dandelions.. our poor back lawn went all back to weeds, after all the work last year to seed it with grass. So we'll try again this year! I long for the days I lived in the country and just mowed all the weeds and eventually grass seemed to take over and grow. That doesn't seem to happen here. We're having gorgeous weather.. in the high 70's and low 80's and I'm finally getting in the mood to do some planting.. but will probably wait until closer to early June. Still many below freezing nights here. Hugs to you and your Steve.... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteAhh... nice to put your feet up and enjoy all the things that the Lord has blessed us with... what a beautiful world we enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHugs and prayers continuing for you both!

Connie, I came by to see if you had posted. I love seeing about your yard and gardens. Even with all the beauty of nature, the joy is somewhat diminished without our loved ones being well. I know your heart is heavy at times, as is mine. God loves us and we love Him. We will have to trust that His love will show us mercy. Prayers for you and Steve. May our Lord hold you safely in His hands. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
