Celebrating The 4th Of July

Life is good!

I'm proud to be an American
and I love celebrating the 4th of July!

Don't take freedom for granted . . .
brave men and women
have laid their lives on the line
for our freedom.

Let's honor them with gratitude.

Today, I celebrate
with photos from my blog
past and present:

I made my first batch of jam "2019"
the other day:)

Tomorrow morning I'll be getting up early
and baking pies for a family BBQ.

This is one of my favorites . . .
strawberry rhubarb.

Tomorrow I'll be baking
Amish Apple and Blackberry.

Have a happy holiday.

Keep Smiling!

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  8. Wonderful Fourth of July photos, Connie. That strawberry rhubarb pie sure looks good. And you're making blackberry? - one of my favorites! I love your blue and white pitcher. And it's so nice to see someone still making homemade jam. It would taste so good on a piece of toast and my morning coffee. ; )

    Happy Fourth of July, Connie.

  19. Your house looks so beautiful all decorated for the Fourth of July! And your raspberry jam and pie look amazing. Oh, how I would love to taste that jam on a thick slice of toasted sourdough bread in the morning, and I'd definitely take a piece of your strawberry-rhubarb pie, too. One of my faves!

  21. Your home and property look so wonderful all decked out for the holiday today! I sure don't take my freedom for granted at all... I cherish it and am always ever so grateful for the ones who serve or have served our country to keep us free and safe. I love your porch and all the flags flying! And the photos too are just great to see..... amazed you have enough raspberries to make jam now! Mine are just coming on now and I remember how many bushes you have and how prolific they are! I hope you are right now in the midst of a memorable and treasured family BBQ. I'm sitting here at my computer while the fireworks go off outside! Take care and as always.. my prayers are with you. Hugs.. Marilyn

  29. I love your 4th of July decorations... it's a big holiday in our family as it was my mother's birthday. She passed three years ago but we still celebrate because she was a patriot and would expect us to continue the tradition. I've been wanting to make strawberry freezer jam... your raspberry jam looks delicious!
