A Quilt For Lucy

Last Winter I started this quilt.

A birthday present

for

my granddaughter Lucy.

Here are the finished

photos.

The lighting wasn't very

good and the colors

in the fabric don't

show up as actuate

as they truly are πŸ˜”

This is the Back

I made it reversible.

Lucy turned 18 last week

and is starting college

tomorrow πŸ˜‡

I'm so proud of her.

Thanks for stopping by

and have a wonderful week.

I'm just getting over

a terrible head and chest cold.

I hate it when it goes down in

my chest  . . .  but it's

finally breaking up and

I can feel the healing 😊

God Bless You All

your blogging sister,
Connie :)

    1. Thank you. I am drinking elderberry tea and taking a lot of vitamin C as well as using Vick's Vapor Rub, that was my Mom's cure from way back when I was a little girl :)

    1. Thank you. I've had it finished around a month ago but didn't want to put it on the blog until after she received it :)

    1. Actually today was a turning point . . . I've only used 3 or 4 tissues so far instead of my 1/4 to 1/2 a box πŸ€§πŸ€’

We are just getting over colds here too, not awful ones but I'm glad to see the end of them. Glad you are improving too!

  7. I'm sorry you've been sick. Hopefully you will soon feel much better. Vick's Vapor Rub is also in my medicine cabinet along with various pills and potions in case either one of us gets sick. The quilt that you made for your granddaughter is lovely. I like that you made it reversible.

    1. Vick's Vapor Rub has been around for a long time and is so comforting when you have a bad time breathing... Sometimes the old medicines are the best!

    1. I enjoyed your post and tribute to the memory of Charlie. I was watching him a week or two before his assassination and hoping that he would visit the college that my two granddaughters are attending. That they would have a chance to hear him and hopefully be encouraged and strengthen by his faith and his encouragement to get young people to think for themselves and search out what is truth and what is not.

    1. Oh it seems like it takes longer to get over a cold especially when it gets down in my chest. They say growing olds is not for sissies. Boy were they right whoever they are.

    1. Melanie, you hit the mark in describing my menu. It's been lots of vitamins and herbal tea, plus oatmeal and comforting foods πŸ₯΄. So many people lose weight when they don't feel good I seem to comfort myself with food when I don't feel good and end up gaining a little..

    1. I'm happy to hear that you escaped getting sick. If he had what I had and it settled in the chest, it's a doozy. I'm feeling much better, but it's still lingering on a bit.
