All of the graphics that I used on my aprons,
comes from non-other than the wonderful
"The Graphic Fairy"
Here's Butchy, he is able to jump back up into his favorite spot
for watching the neighborhood.
If you look at his back he has several perfect scare imprints
from the teeth of that dog that attacked him,
and a big jagged scare on his belly where it was torn open.
He is feeling himself again, and we are delighted.
Thank you for all of your prayers.
The Vets at the clinic were surprised at his quick recovery,
but we know that prayer was the answer.
We are overjoyed to have our little boy,
back feeling spunky again.
Oh, he thinks his scares make him look tough :)
Have a blessed and wonderful day.
Your blogging sister,
So glad to see he is back on the mend. I adore the aprons!!ReplyDelete
Hi Donna, thanks for the sweet visit . . . It's great to have Butchy back feeling spunky again.Delete
I think these are all beautiful! Do you use patterns or make your own?ReplyDelete
Hi Elise, I'm delighted that you like my aprons. They all started out as something else. Do you have a dress in your closest that you never wear and has gone out of style or doesn't fit anymore. Well if the fabric is still good . . . recreate it. That is where my aprons start out. The rest is getting creative and having fun with it.Delete
It's a great way to go green :)
Love love those adorable aprons.ReplyDelete
S happy Butchy is ok.
What a cutie.
Thank you . . . and thank you again. You're a sweetie.Delete
You sew so beautifully! These really look more like pretty dresses than aprons. I think I would put them UNDER my clothes so I would not splatter on them! My favorite is the purple, it is gorgeous, especially the little textured dots on it and the beautiful bow. I am SO glad Butchy is better, and I agree, it is the prayers!ReplyDelete
Hi Ginny, I love seeing your profile photo in my comment list. I know that if we lived closer we would be great friends. You're a dear sweet blogging sister, and I love you.Delete
Your aprons are beautiful, Connie! I never wear them myself but there is just something about an apron with a ruffle and a pretty tie.ReplyDelete
Hi Kathy, you should try wearing one . . . it makes cooking more fun :)Delete
Connie- Your aprons are gorgeous. I love your choice of materials and styles. I have some of that same fabric as the half apron. I have had it for a long time and still love it-always thought I would make pillows with it.ReplyDelete
I am so glad that Butchy is doing so well. It is always so sad to see our animals hurt/suffering...and they can't tell you how bad they feel. Blessings- have a great Wednesday- xo Diana
Hi Diana, this is so funny because if you are talking about the apron with the cabbage roses, it started out as an unused pillow sham. It's marvelous having Butchy back to normal . . . we were not sure that would ever happen. He has amazed the Vets at his turn around :) Yes, prayer is the answer :)Delete
I noticed I had a new follower and here you are! I have found your delightful blog - someone from another part of the world, always of interest to me - somone creative too - I like your aprons, I have no idea how you copy graphics fairy text on to fabric but it looks fabulous, your aprons are very vintage chic! then I explored more and found your beatiful kitchen makeovers, your kitchen is so cheery and full of color. I am so sorry your little Dog Butchy had a bad experience but pleased to read also that he is on the mend, blessings and healing thoughts to him, hope the neighbouring dog is not able to get close again - it's a worry to have a dog around that has that in his personality so keep little Butchy safe with you. Lovely to find your blog. BettyReplyDelete
Hi Betty, what a lovely visit. I am delighted to hear from you and I'm coming over to explain the process of fabric transfers. It is so much fun, you'll love it.Delete
Aprons are really cute...my fave is the purple one, course I am a purple kind of person. I have one apron that I bought on Etsy. I wear it at my garage sales, pockets are big enough to "hold all that money" (hahaha)ReplyDelete
So glad Butchy is mending. Yes Prayer is a pretty powerful weapon and can travel farther then our thoughts and higher then the nearest star...God hears our desparete prayers even for our wooly friends. Have a great day.
Hi Louise, thank you for this kind visit. I agrees with you about prayer, and you put it into words in such a lovely way. Our lives are not so complicated when we are trusting in Him and in communication with Him on a daily and hourly basis :) I'm very happy that you like my aprons, they are a lot of fun to make.Delete
I love your aprons - especially the first one. I think it's the ric rac that really does it for me!!!
What a bad dog to come over and take a bite out of Butchy. I'm glad he's doing well and I hope he isn't traumatized by the encounter.
Hi Kay, you know we thought it would change his personality and that he would be afraid around other dogs, especially large dogs, but he does not seemed to be effected by the trauma at all. It must be something like the pain of childbirth. If we remembered just how much it hurt we might not have more than one child, LOLDelete
I'm delighted that you like my aprons, I like ric-rac too . . . it's an old fashion thing, right :)
Love your aprons. I am rather partial to the odd bit of rik-rak. Glad your little dog Butchy is on the mend. My dog Maddy was attacked a few years ago, it's not something you easily forget. (She recovered very well though). Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.ReplyDelete
Hi Wendy, I am so happy to have you visit and I am over joyed to have you as a follower. I see a wonderful blogging friendship ahead. I love your little rag dolls, they are so cuddly and loving. I am making one for my granddaughter's birthday, I'll be posting it soon :)Delete
Love your aprons, the second one is my favorite.ReplyDelete
glad to hear that Butchy is doing so well.
Hi Ann, thank you, I do enjoy making aprons. Butchy is doing great and his hair is starting to grow back :) It is so good to have him getting back to normal. The first two weeks I had trouble even getting him to eat. Now he's playing fetch and eating normal . . . we feel very blessed.Delete
Such pretty aprons! You have been busy indeed!ReplyDelete
SO happy to hear that Butchy is feeling himself again thanks to answered prayers!
Hi, thank you for your sweet concern . . . Butchy is doing wonderfully. Thanks for the compliment on my aprons too. I do enjoy making them.Delete
I think you did wonderful!!ReplyDelete
HI Daniela, and thank you so much :)Delete
So good to see Butchy looking so much better, you are probably right about the prayer. I love your pretty aprons. I do like to wear an apron, then I feel like a 'proper' cook!ReplyDelete
Hi Fran, after seeing that fantastic stove you bought for the barge, I would say that you are a proper cook. That stove is gorgeous.Delete
My goodness Connie...you have been so busy! Your aprons are all so pretty and so good to see your gorgeous Butchy happy and well again,ReplyDelete
Hi Susan, thank you :)Delete
All the aprons are beautiful. I love the first one that gives the impression it's a dress and I also like the fact they haveReplyDelete
big ties so you can have big bow, lovely.
Hi Ali, thank you, I like big bows in the back of my aprons. I think that they should look pretty from the front and the back :)Delete
Beautiful aprons!!! You've been busy!!!ReplyDelete
Hi Anita and thanks :)Delete
You have been a busy girl...I just love aprons and these are so darn cute>>>ReplyDelete
You are so sweet, thank you :)Delete
Wow, these are wonderful aprons.ReplyDelete
Hi Connie, it's wonderful to see that I am not the last person left in the world who wears and loves aprons! These are gorgeous and love the rick rack on the top one. Mind it it looks more like a beautiful dress than an apron! Glad to see Butchy looking good again. Bye for now. Jane :))ReplyDelete
Hello Jane, it is always a pleasure to hear from you. There is a magic that happens when I tie an apron around my waist that says this is going to be a great meal. It's a Betty Crocker thing, LOL I'm happy to hear that you also wear an apron and that I'm not the only one :)Delete
Butchy has bounced back so fast, that he has even surprised his Vets.
Your aprons are just beautiful! I am so glad that Butchy is doing well. That is great news!ReplyDelete
Hi Sandy, thanks so much, we are delighted with his progress :)Delete
Darling!!! I love the roses one!!!ReplyDelete
Hi Leann, thank you so much :)Delete
Connie I am so sorry to read this about Butchy's horrible attach. So glad he is doing so well.ReplyDelete
Your aprons are so pretty. I do love them and your really creative to make such beauties.
I have wanted to do something from Graphics Fairy for my pillows I am working on but I don't understand how
you transfer these items to fabric. lol
Hi Maggie, go to your blog and check out my comment, I send you a video that shows you step my step how to use transfer papers. Have fun :)Delete
Oh how nice your aprons are! I do need to get in a bit of sewing. I have a couple of mending/altering jobs to do before I can begin the fun things.ReplyDelete
Harvest Lane Cottage
Hi Laura, for years I was so busy with work, I had one of those jobs that follows you home at night. I just didn't have time for anything but mending. Now that I am retired, I find that I am enjoying sewing again and having the time to get creative :) I am delighted that you like my aprons :)Delete
such darling aprons, connie:) the storm and your puppy horrible experience must have really rough--i'm so glad he's starting to feel more himself. LOVE the kitchen color, too! happy weekend!ReplyDelete
Good morning Lynn, thanks for stopping by. I have been having a lot of fun sewing lately and learning more and more about my new embroidery machine. You were right about the designs being addictive, but I am controlling myself (so far) LOL. Well, I need to go to the bank this morning, so while I'm out and about I thought that I would check out a few yard sales. Wish me luck . . . you never know what you might find :) Have a lovely day and thanks again for stopping by.Delete
