Anchors Away!

Anchors Away!
Here is another project inspired by Carol of
Art and Sand

Many of you follow Carol.
Do you remember her painted pillows?

Well I needed two more chairs for my dining room set.
So, I'm painting these that I had and used out on the back porch.
Now they match the other two that came with the set.
Different chairs, but the same color.
I wish that the computer captured the true color of this paint better.
It is called Cream Puff and it is the color of rich vanilla ice-cream.

My finished cushions.
I made two of these.
And they are reversible.
Thanks to clip-art and iron on transfer paper :)

Now that I have both cushions done,
I better get the other chair ready to paint.

There is always something to do around here . . .
and staying busy is exactly what I need at the moment.

Keep smiling,

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  2. All the furniture transformation is certainly amazing and your place is looking so refreshed, just what's needed around here after a long winter. It's snowing on Dogwood Lane this morning but that's actually a good thing as we can not have spring in the mountains until it has snowed on the dogwoods.

    1. Oh my! Snow on the Dogwoods. Dogwoods and Redbuds are amazingly breathtaking and they certainly say that Spring is here, in such a beautiful way. They do not grow naturally in our neck of the woods and I do miss them :)
      Happy Spring!
Here's to warm weather and sunny skies.

    1. Hi Gill, I'm glad to hear that you are a gardener. This is my year to really get dirty and learn more about gardening. Hopefully very soon I will have a large garden space with plenty of sunshine. I've only shared this with a couple of my sister bloggers, but I have a dream, that's looks like is coming true very soon. We are in the process of closing on a new (old) house, with an acre of land. I'm so excited!

  14. LOVE . . . LOVE . . . LOVE the chair and the color you used.

Can you do a quick explanation for me on how you did the anchor? Am I right in that you printed it on an iron on transfer (I think I actually have some) and then just ironed it onto the pillow.?

    1. Hi Carol, That would be an A+. That is exactly what I did. I am in the process of using your painted stripes in a reversible slipcover for my porch glider, too.
I'll be posting it at a later date. I am so inspirited my your ideas.
