I just want to wish all of my lovely
a blessed Thanksgiving.
And share this little banner with you.
So easy with stencils . . .
And my light box.
This lovely print was one I found at
a yard sale this summer for $3.
The frame was rough, so I gave
it a coat of fresh paint.
I love it :)
Oh, we replaced our kitchen light fixture.
Just before the holidays :)
From this . . .
To this :)
I love a bright kitchen for cooking,
and now I have one :)
Well, this is a small post...
but I wanted to wish you all
a Happy Thanksgiving.
Don’t be anxious about anything; rather,
bring up all of your requests to God
in your prayers and petitions,
along with giving thanks.
Then the peace of God
that exceeds all understanding
will keep your hearts and minds
safe in Christ Jesus.
Your blogging sister,
Have a lovely Thanksgiving, Connie. By the way, I really like your new kitchen light. ^^ReplyDelete
Thank you so much and a very happy Thanksgiving to you too :)Delete
I love everything here. The banner, the country kitchen and the canning shelves. Your so talented. Happy Thanksgiving!!ReplyDelete
Hi Lisa, thank you for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, too :)Delete
Hi Connie, I like your Thanksgiving banner and the picture. I like lots of light in my kitchen too. Love the picture of your kitchen and how you have decorated it. Is that a toaster oven I see in the corner? I don't have one and wondered how and what all you use it for. And do I want to give up counter space for one? Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. My bronchitis is doing better except for a cough. Don't think I am contagious anymore and look forward to going to our daughter's tomorrow and seeing everyone. Blessings to you. NancyReplyDelete
Hi Nancy, I am delighted to hear that you are feeling better. Not a toaster oven but instead the microwave. We had it on a higher shelf, but I'm a shorty and it was just very award for me and not safe with hot dishes. Now, it takes up more counter space, but is much safer.Delete
Happy Thanksgiving, Have a wonderful time with your family :)
Love your banner and your new light fixture. It really made a huge difference in your kitchen! Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings to you. xoxoReplyDelete
Hi Melanie, I know that you are having a hard time right now, but I'm wishing you a joyful Thanksgiving. You have a heart of gold and so much love to give. God bless you and your family.Delete
Connie, aren't stencils great! I have to use them because I can't draw a straight line! Thanks for the reminder, I have a burlap banner that is empty so I should think up something for Christmas. Your Thanksgiving decor looks really lovely and I am in love with the print. What a great find. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family..JudyReplyDelete
Hi Judy, thanks so much for stopping by. Our Thanksgiving is small this year, just the two of us . . . but we'll make the most of it :) Looking forward to what you do with your burlap banner.Delete
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
I have a perfect place for a banner above my French doors so I should make more for the different holidays. I have one for Christmas at least! Happy Thanksgiving! Love the old fashioned art! Hugs, DianeReplyDelete
Hi Diane, I cann't believe it is already Thanksgiving . . . time flies when your having fun, Really I think it flies faster when you reach a ripe old age like mine, LOL :) Have a lovely Thanksgiving.Delete
Love that banner. Did you use markers or paints to do those?ReplyDelete
The new kitchen light fixture looks awesome.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving
Hi Ann, with the stencils I used craft acrylic paint and on the "Our Neck Of The Woods: I used fabric paint markers. They do not bleed into the fabric like a regular marker might.Delete
Happy Thanksgiving to you Connie!! You have created a beautiful banner. It looks great over the fire place; which is also beautifully decorated! I liked getting a peek into your cheery kitchen - great new lighting! Enjoy~ReplyDelete
hugs, karen o

Love the new lights in the kitchen... NEAT.
Hi Betsy, well I haven't made one for myself yet for Christmas . . . but there may be one coming, LOL. It depends on the mantel, when I go to decorate it .Delete
Hi Connie happy thanksgiving my friend. Wow i love your banner you are very clever and love that print.ReplyDelete

I like the banner and the new kitchen light too!ReplyDelete

It's great having the new kitchen light put up . . . now I have sunshine on a clouding day :)Delete
Your mantle(s) decorations are lovely. Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving celebration, the two of you. (It is just the two of us this year, too.) Thank you for the verses; good to be reminded.ReplyDelete
It was just the two of us, but it was a very sweet day, we truly had a lovely Thanksgiving. I hope that you did too :)Delete
Oh girl, I love your yellow kitchen! Also love the touch of red and blue. The pretty new light really shows off your colorful and cute kitchen!ReplyDelete
What a neat banner you made, love it! You make it look so easy. It looks wonderful on your mantel. I like how you have two mantels. I can't imagine having a double mantel... I can barely decorate one, lol!
Have a delightful Thanksgiving~
It's a little tricking decorating two mantels on one fireplace, but I seem to manage, LOL.Delete
Beautiful banner, you are an inspiration. Love the light, I like a bright kitchen too. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.ReplyDelete
It's wonderful having my kitchen go from dark to bright and cheerful. Winter always made it so dark in there.Delete
Such lovely photos to enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving Connie!ReplyDelete
thank you :)Delete
You too . . . and thanks :)Delete
Happy Thanksgiving Connie and family! I hope you have a wonderful day full of food, family and laughter. I love the banner and as you know, am In LOVE with your white fireplace surround and mantels! It looks so festive and happy and the banner looks so good there. Again, you have inspired me! I made a "spooky" Halloween banner a few years ago out of paper, but the fabric one would be even better (might make one for Christmas)! The print you found and reloved with the (newly painted) frame is so perfect. I love it! Have a wonderful day and enjoy the bright happy kitchen with the new light fixture! Hugs.... MarilynReplyDelete
Thank you Marilyn . . . wishing you a beautiful day :)Delete
Hey Connie. Hope you and Steve had a good Thanksgiving. The day went be too fast. Thank you for such a sweet and encouraging comment on my post about selling the old table. You are so right about what makes a home. Your comment made me feel much better.ReplyDelete
I am delighted that I could help . . . life is filled with compromise and sharing . . . it's the people and the love we share that counts. :)Delete
Happy Thanksgiving Connie!!! :) I LOVE the new light fixture!!! And your banner is just so great. I love anything with deer on it! :)ReplyDelete
Hi Rain, and thank you . . . it is so nice having a kitchen that is bright and cheery even on the gloomiest days of winter :)Delete
I love the banner, so perfect for Autumn, the pilgrim picture is cool and you did a great job on the frame! I too love a bright kitchen, I keep telling my hubby that I would like a new light , maybe if I show him this he will think he may be able to do it too!ReplyDelete
Steve and I did it together and I actually did the wiring. It wasn't that hard and from the time we took it out off the box, until we had the kitchen cleaned up and the tools put away was right at one hour :) I know that the two of you could do it too.Delete
Thanks for dropping by Connie and birthday wishes for my Mum.ReplyDelete
Hope your thanks giving day was a happy one in your beautiful kitchen
Thank you . . . I loved seeing you and your Mum . . . the photos were wonderful she sounds like a very strong and lovely woman.Delete
We do not have a 'Thanksgiving' here...I guess our special day for Families and Friends to get together is on Christmas Day...we do have an 'Australia Day' - though to my way of thinking Christmas Day is far more important to us. That is a great Banner that you have made - very crafty and clever. Best Wishes. KEV.
Hi Kev, thanks for stopping by to say hi . . . here's wishing you a wonderful Christmas :)Delete
