I went out to the Art Barn
and brought in my box of hexies.
I figured that I could start
sewing them together . . .
for a good project while watching TV
with my Steve.
I want to thank all of you
for your prayers
and your thoughtful good wishes.
Our news isn't good . . .
but our faith is in the Lord
and we know that He will walk with us
every step of the way.
I am strong and of good courage,
I do not fear nor am I afraid,
for the Lord my God,
He is the one who goes with me.
He will not leave me nor forsake me.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Again thank you for your prayers.
The Lord knows our needs
and He is gracious and merciful.
God bless you all
and thank you for your friendship.
Connie :)
Cute mouse! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the verse. Powerful! God is so good.
Amen sweet friend, yes He is!
DeleteOh Connie- You know I read your comment "the news is not good" but remember-our news was "not good" either and now we are three years cancer free. I do believe in miracles and that is what I will pray for with Steve (and you) in mind.
ReplyDeleteLove your box of hexi's....great colors! xo Diana
I believe in miracles, too!
DeleteWe had a miraculous Lord.
Thank for your prayers and our friendship.
Bless you both as you face this journey together, my thoughts are with you.

I will continue to hold you both in my prayers...
ReplyDeleteThank you, we appreciate every prayer that is said in our behalf.
DeleteGod is always listening.
This looks like a wonderful project to keep your hands busy.
ReplyDeletePrayers continue. Here's a verse that I find comforting in hard times:
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
Isaiah 43:2
Thank you Mari . . . You are a sweet friend and an encouragement.
DeleteGod is good and always watching over us.
Keeping you and Steve in my prayers. Your hexagons are so cheerful looking... an excellent project while watching the telly and praying. God bless...
ReplyDeleteDebi, thank you your prayers, they mean so very much.
DeleteWe are both very touched and grateful.
"He will not leave me nor forsake me." Those strong words should give us all strength and courage. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you. I love the hexies! My mom left behind a shoe box stuffed full of flour sack hexies. They are a work of art as they are. My daughter loved them so much that I gave them to her to add to her collection of vintage sewing things.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that your daughter has her grandmother's handiwork. I know they are treasured.
DeleteThank you for your prayers, there is much power in prayer and we truly appreciate your love and friendship.
I will continue to say prayers for you and sending a great big hug.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, every prayer is a blessing.
DeleteYou're a dear.
(((HUGS))) in this difficult time for you both. God truly is good.
ReplyDeleteYes He is!
DeleteThank you.
Continuing to pray for daily strength and grace. God is very present; may you sense His love each day. Your hexies look beautiful. That's a great project for watching television.
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to giant snowflakes falling. A great day to stay inside and we can, yesterday was filled with appointments, but today we can recoup and stay home. Thank you for your prayers we can certainly use them and appreciate your thoughtfulness and love.
DeleteI cannot think of a better stitching project than sewing pretty hexies whilst you sit there with your beloved Steve. Sending you many hugs of love♥
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to big snowflakes falling from the sky. We have two days to stay inside anyway and recoup from yesterday's doctor appointments. The good news is that our weather is suppose to start warming up later this week. It would be so nice to have some days warm enough to sit outside on the porch. Thank you for your blogging friendship.
DeleteContinued prayers and thoughts on behalf of your husband and yourself.
ReplyDeleteYour box of hexies is so pretty, and an impressive example of your handiwork.
~K.
Thank you for your prayers. We can certain use them and appreciate each and everyone that is praying in our behalf. God is good and He is always listening. We are getting huge snowflakes falling outside today, so a good day for stitching my hexies together and enjoy old black and white TV shows with my Steve.
DeleteAgain thank you.
Lovely hexis, such pretty colours.
ReplyDeleteI used to read psalm 121 to my husband when he was so very unwell in hospital. Prayers continue Connie.
Thank you Elizabeth, I looked up Psalm 121 in my bible and read it this morning. God's word is always a comfort, He is always watching over us and loves us all so much more than we can ever know. Thank you for your prayers and love.
DeleteYou are always in my prayers. That mouse is so cute.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann, you are so sweet and we appreciate your prayers and thoughtfulness so much.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much. The prayers that are going out in our behalf are a blessing and comfort to us both.
DeleteI am blessed because I seek refuge and put my trust in the Lord. psalm 2:12
Hi Connie, I am praying for you and Steve. God knows what you are going thru and will be there always . Ted and I are going thru a cancer battle here and I know that when we love someone, their bad times are ours also. The power of prayers from our families, church fellowships, and even strangers has helped us so much. I am so grateful for my blog family too. Sending hugs your way and prayers up to heaven for you and Steve. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, I know that you know what we are going through. The good news is that the Lord is always right here with us, every step of the way. Thank you for your prayers, I am praying for you and Ted as well. The Lord is listening, He will never forsake us.
DeleteThinking of you both.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteConnie, Dennis and I have been praying for you and Steve, even not knowing exactly what we are praying for. However, the Lord knows and He is faithful. Reading some of the comments here, I can tell that you have a lot of friends that are lifting you in prayer before the throne of our Lord most high. I was reading Psalm 121 today. It was my mother’s favorite verse. It is so applicable here. I’m glad you are keeping your hands busy with your beautiful, beautiful hexies. Stay warm and dry today. The snow is really coming down here too. Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, Thank you so much for your prayers and your blogging friendship. I haven't read your blog in forever because I cannot back click from your anonymous comments and get there. If you read this please send an email with your blog address and I will put it in my favorite list . . . I thought that it was already there, but I can't find it there either.
DeleteCan you believe all this snow and it's the middle of March? Our spring is coming very late this year.
Again thank you so much for your prayers, Steve and i are very grateful. Jesus is Lord though the good times and the sad.
Here you go Connie. I have missed you over at my blog, but just thought you were busy. We ended up with 7 inches of snow yesterday and last night. At this rate it will be June before it’s gone! Much love and blessings,
DeleteBetsy

DeleteDearest Connie, I hope it is somewhat of a comfort to you and Steve to know that many are keeping you both in love and prayer.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Melanie, it brings us much comfort and joy, knowing that prayers are going up in our behalf . . . the Lord is listening.
DeleteSeems I am always late and last...Connie I think about you every day and remember you both in my prayers. That is the prettiest box of little hexies I've ever seen. The fabrics are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello sweet friend, thank you for your prayers, they warm our hearts and bring us much comfort. The Lord is listening and our faith is strong. It's wonderful knowing that we have friends and family praying for us.
DeleteThank you again.
Your hexies look lovely. Glad you have a project to bring you a little peace through a hard time. Sending prayers your way.
ReplyDeleteHaving a project helps; I've always been one that needs busy hands. My Mamma was like that too.
DeleteThanks so very much for your prayers, they are a blessing.
The hexi's are so colorful and bright! I'm going to have to go to YouTube and figure out how to make them. I've always loved the shape for some reason, and they remind me of my aunt who always had a box of them at her sewing table! I continue to pray for you both. Your faith is so strong I'm sure that the Lord will listen to all of the prayers! xoxoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteHe listens to every prayer that comes His way, short, long, simple and send with love. He cares and is watching over us; we know that we are not alone and never will be.
DeleteYou might look up the hexie shape in nature. Everyone knows that it is found in the honey bee's comb, but you will be surprised to see that it is repeated in thousands and more, things created my our Dear Lord. No wonder we are drawn to it.
Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts, we are comforted knowing that we have caring folks praying for us. The Lord speaks of the two greatest commandments being: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.
Mark 12: 30 and 31
We feel the love, thank you :)
Praying....
ReplyDeletethe scripture...it is so true (as they ALL are)...I always thought of myself as strong...not so when I lost Bill...
I felt so weak...never lost faith..and never could have made it without God carrying me thru most of it. It will be the same for you. I wasn't strong...but with God's loving arms around me, I'm still here...I made it thru...and so will you, if need be.
I just burned a cookie sheet full of cookies and now I have to get rid of the terrible smell...I am such a goofus...:)
You, sweet friend are not a goodfus.
DeleteSending you an email.
Continued prayers for both of you. Each day is a gift and our God is awesome. With Him all things are possible.

You and your Steve will be in my prayers, and we will believe for a healing touch from the Lord for Steve!
ReplyDeleteI just adore all those hexies that you made! Have you ever done a tutorial on them? I have always been intrigued by them as well. Dear Sweet Connie, It's been a long time since I have been here but I remember the words of prayer and encouragement you sent my way several years ago. And now may I pray for you that you and Steve will be filled with The Lord's redeeming grace and mercy and most of all faith and hope in Him. The colors of your new project are so bright and cheerful. It's going to be a lovely quilt.
