I've been helping a friend
make a quilt for her
great grandson.
He is going to love it.
I had so much fun helping her :)
Myself I've been doing Spring yard work.
And making a few more cards.
🦋🦋🦋
That's my post . . .
short and sweet :)
🦋🦋🦋
I hope you have a wonderful
week.
God bless you all!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
The quilt is beautiful and will be treasured!
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your cards. Anyone getting one will be thrilled.
Thank you. Her grandson will be nine and he loves hunting and fishing with his Dad. I think he'll be thrilled.
DeleteWhat a great quilt. I think quilts are one of the best personalized gifts. Your cards are absolutely beautiful. Each one looks like a real treasure.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteThat quilt is awesome. Her grandson will love that. Your cards are amazing as well. Love all the hand lettering.
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet Ann, and yes I think her grandson will love it.
DeleteWhat a delightful quilt, it will be treasured, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure too :)
DeleteWhat a fabulous quilt you are helping your friend make. Looks like you’ve had a busy time lately.
ReplyDeleteLiz xx
I'm trying to get my holiday weight gain off, so staying busy keeps me from snacking, LOL.
DeleteYour friend's happy smile says it all. I'm sure you enjoyed helping her make this special quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love helping people learn to quilt. Most think that they can't do it and then after they make a quilt they see how it's just one little step after another and really not hard at all :)
DeleteThe quilt is beautiful and I'm sure her great grandson will love it. Such a special gift.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely.
Thank you so much. I think her grandson is going to be over joyed to sleep under that every night :)
DeleteThat quilt is perfect for a young fellow that likes hunting and fishing. How sweet of you to give your friend a hand finishing it.
ReplyDeleteSpring brings more than a few outdoor chores and it looks like you've been busy doing them. Mostly I have to wait for my helpers. I'm so thankful that I have them otherwise my garden work wouldn't get done.
I don't know how long that I'll be able to do it without helpers. I'm just taking it one year at a time. Who knows, one day I might have to put the entire yard back in to lawn only :(
DeleteHow wonderful that you helped your friend with a quilt. Not time to start spring yard work just yet here in IL. Not until April. Your cards are beautiful. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Melanie, you have a lovely week as well.
DeleteOh that quilt turned out so nice, she looks very happy about it too, I bet her grandson is going to love it!! Your cards are just lovely too, such pretty borders to them! Looks like you had a lot of limbs to clean up. We had a rough storm go through this past weekend, so we hace a bit to pick up in the yard too!
ReplyDeleteI have several old pine trees and every time we get a storm I have limbs to clean up, too. I just hope my health and body stay strong so that I can do it for at least 10 more years, before I need help :)
DeleteThat quilt is wonderful! How sweet it is you helped your friend make it. Her boy will just adore it I'm sure. And your cards are just so unique and beautiful. I love the watercolor look. Your hand lettering is better than most stamp sets and so personal. And yes, it's about time for yard cleanup. You're amazing that you do it all yourself! Physical work keeps us young! ( At least in our minds....sometimes not in body!) Hugs....Marilyn
ReplyDeleteI thank the Lord that I can still do it, but I am noticing that I have to take breaks now and again. Taking breaks is new to me. Last year was the first time that I realized that if I was going to keep doing yard work then breaks were no longer a treat but a necessity.
DeleteHow sweet to help a friend make a quilt for her grandson. It looks like he enjoys being outdoors. Your cards are lovely, Connie.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy turning friends on to quilting. She had this fabric for a few years, but was afraid to get started. So many people look at the finished work and think that they can't do it, but it's like most projects . . . Many simple and enjoyable steps :)
DeleteYou are quite the great example of how to keep busy♥ Thanks for the being so helpful showing your friend the way to being an awesome quilter. Be safe and welcome Spring this week with open arms♥
ReplyDeleteI love Spring . . . the longer days and more sunshine . . . it just gives me an extra shot of energy :)
DeleteThe quilt is very nice so are the cards!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
Deletethe quilt is beautifully made and perfect for a young man. i need to get started in my yard, it has been calling me. one year ago i bought water color paints and i have never used them. i am afraid of being lousy!! enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteDear friend, get those paints out and play with them . . . be a kid again and just have fun.
DeleteIf you need encouragement check out YouTube for ideas :) I have learned so much from YouTube (even how to change the oil and filters on my tractor) LOL.
sorry it took me so long to visit, i have/had the flu!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, I hope that my the time you read this you are fully recovered.
DeleteSuch a lovely quilt and your cards that you make are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet, thank you :)
DeleteThe quilt is so pretty! I love your pretty homemade cards!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteYou're such a busy little bee! I wish I had that energy...and motivation! LoL. I love the quilt and you are such a good friend to help. The cards are really cute. Do you print then and then color them in or do you use stamps? Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
Actually with these I printed the butterfly from a free clip art, but the rest of the card or cards I did by hand after being inspired my some I saw on Pinterest. In the past I have used rubber stamps, but it's been so long that my ink pads are probably all dried up :(
DeleteConnie, I can just imagine you on that tractor … wow, you are a worker! 😊 The quilt is absolutely great! I do believe the great grandson will love it. Love your art work on the cards … you inspire me. Thank you, Connie, for sharing. Best wishes to you from just over the mountains. John
ReplyDeleteHi John, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. You know I don't think I could manage this place without that tractor, it certainly is a big help. The older I get the more grateful I am for the good health I've always had and I am so grateful that I can take care of this place by myself. I love getting out in the garden. It seems like the time just flies when I'm out in the sunshine. Thank you for your very kind comments.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring Connie, how nice of you to help with your friends quilt. So very nice! So funny when I speak of spring you always come to mind. You grow the most beautiful veggies ! So I knew I'd find you prepping . Enjoy Spring!
