that I built outside
my greenhouse/potting shed.
Flowers picked from
the garden.
These are from the
garden, but look
at the sweet cozy
wrapped around the jar . . .

A handmade gift
from a dear friend.
I am blessed!
I wanted to make
something simple
but cute for the garden.
So, I went to my
scrap bin.
Yellow is so cheerful :)
Little yellow flags . . .
putting on a happy face π
You already saw them once,
but I'll just show them again.
These were gifted me by
lovely friends that stopped by
this week to see how
I was faring with my back.

I'm happy to say that even
though I'm still in
a lot of pain, I am
seeing an improvement each
and every day :)

Again,
Happy Mother's Day!

for the beauty that comes from within,
the unfading beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is so precious to God."

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
I WILL be the first to comment Connie! I love this post! Happy Mother's Day to you too dear lady. I want to come "build with you" (not just quilt with you!)... I love that darling bench. I need to work place to make things. I don't know why I don't build things as I've always loved wood and playing with it. I actually took a woodworking course in college and made a big large set of bathroom cabinets, but never did finish them! Never went back as we had a spell of super icy weather during that term of school and missed the last couple of classes. I've built a few small things.. but sure love that bench! You never cease to amaze me! I hope you aren't hurting your back "more" by doing those things. I pray you are Ok and no damage to a vertebra. Heat and ice will be your friends, that's for sure! The little jar cozy is adorable too. You are lucky to have such sweet friends there close to you! Hugs to you... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteYes, I made the bench, but before hurting my back. I'm glad you like it. You've made cabinet's . . . You're the true woodworker, I'm impressed.
DeleteThanks for posting on my blog for FFFs. Your roses are lovely. And so is the yellow flag wreath. Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you too and thanks for popping in to say hello.
DeleteYou are the most crafty lady I know. There just doesn't seem to be anything you can't do. Love your cute little flags. Happy Mother's day to you also.
ReplyDeleteDitto, you're pretty crappy yourself π₯°
DeleteOh, I love that garden bench and the decorations and the little yellow flags you made for it! Such a sweet place. And your flowers are so pretty, and I love the little jar cozy your friend made for you. You truly are blessed! I'm glad your back is starting to feel better. Take your time and let it heal before you try to do too much. Looks like spring is in full swing there. Enjoy peaceful days.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pamela. I've been feeling the love from all the prayers. Each day I'm getting a little bit stronger ♥️
DeleteOh, dear, sweet Connie. I'm so behind in blog posts. With all that was happening with Mom, I didn't even open my computer for weeks on end. I didn't know about your back. I hope it will soon be completely better. Praise the Lord you had friends with you who were able to care for you and get help as needed. Thanking Him that nothing was broken and all will just take time to heal. And great news with your eyes too! Dennis and I both have the "beginnings" of cataracts but not recommended for surgery yet.
ReplyDeleteYour garden bench is beautiful and I love the little yellow flags. Your home is so cozy and cheerful. You make it a wonderful place to visit. We don't have flowers quite yet, as winter held on longer than usual but it is warming up now and it won't be long. I'll be praying for you my dear sweet friend.
Blessings and love,
Betsy
Betsy, I always get excited when you visit. I do wish we would have discovered each other before the COVID scare and your move back to Omaha from Spokane. I am thankful for blogging, it is a wonderful way to keep in touch and to make and treasure dear friends. Thank you for your prayers.
DeleteAll very lovely, and the flags just make it perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou're just about the sweetest thing in blog land. If we lived closer to one another I would show up on your doorstep with cake and you can make us a pot of tea :) this time of year is so wonderful to be outside soaking up the sunshine and even better when you can do it with a friend.
DeleteSunshine is so good for the body and soul. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and hope the improvement continues. And what lovely friends you have to bring you these pretty things.
