This post is a huge
Thank you card.
I had my eye surgery yesterday
and I woke up this morning
with vision clearer than it's been
since I was a young woman.
Thank you for your prayers.
God is good, all the time.
I am asking for continued
Prayers.
Last Friday I took a fall
I landed on my bottom
on concrete
and jarred my back really bad.
Also, when falling,
hit my shoulder and
the back of my head
on a cinder block wall.
I'm in a lot of pain with my back
but nothing is broken.
I was blessed
in the fact that I wasn't alone
when it happened.
Two friends were here
and one of them
is a retired Navy nurse.
I was in good hands.
Please keep me
in your prayers.
You're blogging sister.
Connie :)
Very glad about the successful eye surgery. It makes such a difference. But I'm not so sure about the fall.. I hope you recover fast.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I sure hope I do too 😊
DeleteGoodness, girl! Be careful! I'm certainly glad our friends were there. Prays for a quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
Thank you so much and I truly appreciate prayer. ♥️
DeleteOh Connie, so sorry to hear about the fall. I had a similar one in the Summer, like you nothing broken but concussion and bruising. It is such a shock, and you must take care not to do too much for a while. Lovely to hear about the eye surgery.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your warm thoughts. I am taking it easy and hoping that my back mends quickly. I am truly amazed at how well my eyes are doing. Everything is so clear and bright now.
DeleteI'm so pleased that your eye surgery was sucessful. And pleased too that you had friends with you there at home when you had that nasty fall. Falls happen in an instant and certainly give us such a shock. With shoulder, head and back pain you really are "all shook up". Sending you loving thoughts and healing vibes across the sea from New Zealand. Take care and rest up, won't you.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a lot of rest and resting is hard for me I like to be up doing. But this pain is keeping me down. Thank you for your concern and loving care.
DeleteGood news about the eye surgery. Not so good about the fall. It's so good your friends were there to help you. I pray you will recover well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorrie, I truly appreciate prayer and I am amazed at how bright and clear my eyesight is now. It was blurry a little bit after the eye surgery but my eyes were dilated all day even when I went to bed my pupils were huge, but this morning everything looked beautifully crystal clear.
DeleteI am glad your eye surgery was successful, but I am sorry about your fall. I can imagine you are very "stoved up" as they call it here in the south, and it will take some time to heal. However, if things don't get better soon enough, you should get checked out just to be sure nothing was broken even a sliver. Praise God you had people there to help you! That's a real blessing! Please take care and hopefully you will feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you I so appreciate prayer.
DeleteGreat eye news, Connie. So happy your friend was a nurse and helped you.
ReplyDeleteIf you have to fall, it's a blessing to have loving friends with you. I am blessed with wonderful friends.
DeleteGreat news about the eye surgery but so sorry to hear about your fall. May God watch over you and put his healing hands on you.
ReplyDeleteAmen and thank for your prayers.
DeleteGlad to hear your surgery went well. Sorry about the fall!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteAlong with all the others I hope and pray you'll soon be feeling in much less pain. As one who trips over her own feet I have great sympathy for your pain. (Not to hint that you tripped over your own feet.) This summer I will not be wearing flip flops. Twice I've fallen badly when wearing them.
ReplyDeleteGood news that the eye surgery was successful💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thank you so much for your prayers and for your sweet blogging friendship.
DeleteI am so very sorry this happened to you Connie..falls are terrible...I hope and pray you are on the mend.....warm hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I'm feeling pain, but do feel a little better each day. Thank you for your prayers, I am great full for Christian friends.
DeleteSo sorry about your fall. One of my biggest fears is something happening to me while I'm all alone and no one finding me. I'm glad that someone was there when you fell.
ReplyDeleteGreat news on your eye surgery.
I was truly blessed to have those two ladies right there. And they took good care of me :)

DeleteI am so glad you were not alone when you fell. Make sure you check out with a doctor if you aren't feeling better soon. Will continue to pray for healing. Again I am so happy that your sight is much better.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at my sight, so much better. And I am blessed that I had friends there when I fell and blessed that I have friends like you that are praying for me. Thank you.
DeleteI'm a blessed woman! 😊
So glad your eye surgery went well and that you can now see so well! But oh my gosh...your fall sounds so awful. I winced when I read about it. I will pray that your back will heal and that your pain will lessen. Hugs from Illinois.
ReplyDeleteMelanie you are so sweet, thank you.
DeleteI feel so loved knowing that I am being remembered in the prayers of dear friends.
I could say old friends, but you're not old, I am, LOL . . .
we have been following one another for many years.
Ohh, Connie. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I did a similar tailbone/back of head fall in Feb. Quite painful for several weeks. I hope you mend quickly.
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . I'm sorry for your injury too. Back pain is awful.
DeleteI'm catching up on blogs after having been away for quite a fall. I was sorry to hear about your fall, I hope you are feeling better and healing fast.
ReplyDeleteThank you, it's been a week and a half but I am finally starting to feel much better.
