Happy 250th Birthday Banner

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I Love My Country!

Therefore; I'm celebrating her

250th Birthday

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Making a banner
for the living room.

I'm still a fan of shabby
imperfect perfection.

Todays post is

going to be more about photos

than words,

with lots of photos :)

I've also been sewing up

some new mug rugs,

from small to large

and all with a patriotic theme

and I've brought in some items

from the barn and from storage.

Enjoy the tour!

My old vintage typewriter.

I was delighted to find

this prayer spoken by

our first president

George Washington.

Pamela of

Closed Doors, Open Windows

asked to have a tour

of my kitchen

so since I gave it a few

patriotic touches as well,

this is for you,

Pamela 😊

this is my old fashioned

kitchen in my

1905 home.

I hope that I didn't

wear you out with this

extremely long post.

Thanks for visiting

&

please let me know

that you where here

I ❤️ reading your comments :)

Your blogging sister,

Connie :)

    1. Thank you Mari, our forefathers the founders of our nation were strong on their belief of having a nation that was under the headship and watchful eyes of God. A nation that blesses God is also blessed by God. Thank you for your lovely comment and for your blogging friendship. 🥰

    1. My mama was very patriotic. My oldest brother was 20 years older than me and was in world war II before I was born. I remember as a little girl mama would set me on a corner selling poppies on Memorial Day. You don't see poppies being sold anymore. She loved her country and she loved red white and blue.

    1. Thank you. I actually opened up by scrap drawers and looked for red and blue scraps and then just started sewing. I love using scraps to create something new 🥰 There is an excitement in using up leftovers from past projects.

    1. Thank yost u Connie, it was fun making these new decorations and I agree with you that this prayer by George Washington was so heartfelt and exactly what America needs. We need to remember the importance of being a nation that is founded on biblical principles. We can be united no matter the color of our skin, our age, or our gender. We need to love this country again and love one another. This is a great nation that has been falling apart, but I believe that we the people can join together and bring it back to greatest. Bring God back!

  13. Hi Connie... just stopped by to see if you had posted, and you did! Of course, you've been busy in your sewing room again! I love the red, white and blue runners, mug rugs and the bigger banner. You rock! Your patriotic touches here and there in your home are so fun and pretty and I really enjoyed seeing it all! Loved the little tour of your kitchen which is "just my style" as many others have said! I still want my kitchen cabinets white, but no one will do it for me! ha ha... I just don't think I have it in me to do it myself unfortunately. I never get tired of seeing your projects and your home.. and love your fireplace mantel too! Hope you had a great weekend! Hugs.. Marilyn
