I Love My Country!
Therefore; I'm celebrating her
250th Birthday
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Todays post is
going to be more about photos
than words,
with lots of photos :)
I've also been sewing up
some new mug rugs,
from small to large
and all with a patriotic theme
and I've brought in some items
from the barn and from storage.
Enjoy the tour!
I was delighted to find
this prayer spoken by
our first president
George Washington.
Pamela of
Closed Doors, Open Windows
asked to have a tour
of my kitchen
so since I gave it a few
patriotic touches as well,
this is for you,
Pamela 😊
this is my old fashioned
kitchen in my
1905 home.
I hope that I didn't
wear you out with this
extremely long post.
Thanks for visiting
&
please let me know
that you where here
I ❤️ reading your comments :)
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

I loved this post! I so enjoyed the tour of your kitchen and I like your style. I also love our country and am thankful for 250 years. The prayer by George Washington is a perfect reminder of how our country was started and is a good thing to display.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mari, our forefathers the founders of our nation were strong on their belief of having a nation that was under the headship and watchful eyes of God. A nation that blesses God is also blessed by God. Thank you for your lovely comment and for your blogging friendship. 🥰
DeleteEverything looks just beautiful Connie. I love your home & all its handmade goodness. Love everything you do. xx
ReplyDeleteOh you're so sweet 🥰
DeleteI love it all. Your decorations are wonderful. I haven't gotten anything out since Christmas. I just haven't had it in me. I really like all your patriotic projects. I'm a sucker for anything red white and blue.
ReplyDeleteMy mama was very patriotic. My oldest brother was 20 years older than me and was in world war II before I was born. I remember as a little girl mama would set me on a corner selling poppies on Memorial Day. You don't see poppies being sold anymore. She loved her country and she loved red white and blue.
DeleteHi Connie. I'm so glad you visited my blog and I was able to find yours. I absolutely love all of your patriotic pieces. Your home is beautiful. The kitchen looks so cozy and inviting. I look forward to future posts. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much and I'm delighted that you took the time to visit me here and leave a comment. ♥️
DeleteI love everything. I wish I could hire you to decorate our condo. It is exactly my taste. The patriotic theme is wonderful. I’m glad to see so many celebrating this year.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs, my dear friend,
Betsy
I love my country, and I like celebrating our patriotic holidays. This is a very special one this year and I think we should wave our banner high 🥰. Thank you Betsy for your sweet words of encouragement.
DeleteYour china is so pretty, I love blue and white. You've certainly done a lot of sewing!
ReplyDeleteI usually don't do much sewing this time of year because I'm busy in the garden, but I wanted to decorate for our 250th birthday 🎇 🎂🎇
Deletethis celebration doesn't come around very often, so we must take the time and be thankful for our freedoms! Well done, Connie. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
DeleteHappy 250th Birthday, America!
ReplyDelete🎇🎂🎇🎈🎊
DeleteI love this tour of your home! I love your style!
ReplyDeleteThank you, that's sweet ❤️
DeleteI loved every single thing!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, thank you :)
DeleteI'm so pleased to tour your cozy kitchen. It 's full of adorable little touches. I like all your sewing projects too. My favourite is the runner with all the diagonal stripes. You have such pretty fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I actually opened up by scrap drawers and looked for red and blue scraps and then just started sewing. I love using scraps to create something new 🥰 There is an excitement in using up leftovers from past projects.
DeleteWow you have been busy and your house looks great, already for the 250th celebration. Beautiful banners and mug rugs! That is a great prayer from Washington, I hope we hear something like that on the 4th celebrations! Your blue and white kitchen is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank yost u Connie, it was fun making these new decorations and I agree with you that this prayer by George Washington was so heartfelt and exactly what America needs. We need to remember the importance of being a nation that is founded on biblical principles. We can be united no matter the color of our skin, our age, or our gender. We need to love this country again and love one another. This is a great nation that has been falling apart, but I believe that we the people can join together and bring it back to greatest. Bring God back!
DeleteYou are very patriotic, Connie, and that is wonderful so thanks for showing off your wonderful red-white-and blue themed home, which is perfect for this summer's 250th birthday celebration. I also liked seeing your kitchen so glad that Pam asked for a tour!
ReplyDeleteYes and you can thank Pamela by visiting her lovely blog. ☺️
DeleteHi Connie... just stopped by to see if you had posted, and you did! Of course, you've been busy in your sewing room again! I love the red, white and blue runners, mug rugs and the bigger banner. You rock! Your patriotic touches here and there in your home are so fun and pretty and I really enjoyed seeing it all! Loved the little tour of your kitchen which is "just my style" as many others have said! I still want my kitchen cabinets white, but no one will do it for me! ha ha... I just don't think I have it in me to do it myself unfortunately. I never get tired of seeing your projects and your home.. and love your fireplace mantel too! Hope you had a great weekend! Hugs.. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so nice!! Love all the red, white and blue. 😀💐enjoy, Janie
