The birds are singing . . .
they are so happy it's Spring.
Perennials are coming to life
after a cold winter
Annuals are sprouting
Seedlings are sprouting and growing
in the greenhouse . . .
Isn't Spring a delightful
time of the year?
I was even able to
pick my first bouquet of lilacs
this week.
Even Beulah is celebrating Spring
with a nice clean bath.
Well, celebrating might be
an exaggeration, LOL.
She enjoys being clean,
but not the process.
The nice thing is,
she doesn't fight it.
She just stands very still
and
tolerates the process
of her bubble bath.
She even allows me to
dry her good with a towel
and get most of the water off,
before that ever so fun
dog shake :)

Wishing you all
a very blessed week.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

Seems spring as arrived at last. :)
ReplyDeleteYes it has and isn't it glorious!
DeleteI truly enjoy living in an area where I have four seasons.
A dog bath must happen around here this week for sure! I am so glad for spring this year. I enjoy being outside!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful being out in the sunshine, I love the feel of the warm sun on my back as I'm working in the garden. Actually the birds are not alone around here, I break out into song as well :)
DeleteI love spring! It's so wonderful to see everything blooming. We've been quite chilly here this month in northeast IL. We're behind as far as things blooming. No flowers outside yet except for pansies. The photo of Beulah made me laugh. What a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteBeulah is the best! She is such a sweet companion I don't know what I'd do without her. She's especially sweet in the evenings when I'm watching TV she comes over and puts her head in my lap wanting me to scratch her ears and when I'm doing yard work she's either right there with me or she finds a comfy place in the shade and watches my every move. It's nice to be loved ♥️
DeleteBeulah is saying only for you would I do this!
ReplyDeleteThat is very true, LOL
DeleteI just posted something similar! I'm so happy for Spring. You are a little ahead of us, but we're getting there. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the camper birdhouse and Beaulah is so cute!
Our neighbor built that little birdhouse for us several years ago. I love it too!
DeleteNow I'm on my way over to see your post. :)
Spring is definitely here now. I've been planting out a few hardy vegetables into the garden. Beulah sounds like a great companion for you.
ReplyDeleteI've been planting too. I planted onions, beets, kale and lettuce. Around here we wait until at least May or the second week in May to plant tomatoes and things that are a lot more susceptible to frost. It is fun to get out in the dirt and play.
DeleteOh that woebegone expression on Beulah's face makes me smile. Our old dog used to look just like that when he had a bath. Sort of resigned and patiently waiting for the ordeal to be done. Then he would tear around madly and one had to stay well out of the way.
ReplyDeleteNow that Spring is here it's great to be outside and in the sunshine. Your little plants won't be so little for long!!
I know her expression is pretty funny; I'm glad she made you smile. She's such a good girl and I love her dearly.
DeleteYes, spring is a wonderful time of year. Even inside your house it looks so bright and cheery. I just love the expression on Beulah. It made me laugh when I saw the picture.
ReplyDeleteShe is my sweetie pie and so much company. I don't have to tell you . . . You have the same with your Gibbs.
DeleteIt is lovely, as the earth warms up, to see the green shoots of exciting plants. Beulah has such an expression on her face!
ReplyDeleteShe's always looking at me in a way that is easy for me to read her mind. She certainly knows how to express herself with those eyes :)
DeleteLook at that sad face. Oh no, bathtime again!
ReplyDeleteI know . . . you would think she would catch on and lay in the grass instead of the gravel and concrete.
DeleteHi Connie.. I snuck over to see if you'd posted again, and you have! Oh yes.. the glories of early Spring! You have such beautifuil flowers already! I did notice my lilac bush has a bunch of flowers on it.. I'm thrilled. They are so pretty I hate to pick them, as it isn't very big yet. Love the little camper birdhouse and the other cute things on your fence. Oh it's nice to have a wood fence to put doo dads on! Beulah is so cute.. maybe she does like the bath? Who really knows? Since she's so patient, maybe she does. I know my male cat, I swear, goes outside when it's raining out and gets all wet, just to come back in knowing I'll towell him off. He loves being towell dried! So he may maybe like a bath. One day I may give it a try! He gets pretty dirty as tends to lay out in the gravel and dirt alot. Amazingly, my female always looks sparkling clean! We're having a week of nice weathere here too, which I love so much. I may even run over to the ocean before the rain starts again! Happy Wednesday! xoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming over to check in on me. I've been pretty busy all week and then I had another eye appointment today and there is some improvement since my last visit. Next week I have an appointment with an eye specialist / surgeon. So I'm waiting to hear what he says.
DeleteIsn't it so exciting to see everything coming to life. Our Lilacs have not bloomed yet, you can see they are about ready though :) Beulah is a good girl, nice when they don't give you trouble with baths. Our one cat needs a bath, don't know how he gets so stinky but I am not even going to try, he would claw me to death I am sure.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to try to give a cat a bath. Even nice cats can turn mean when they get upset.
DeleteWhat a great time of year! Oh my when I seen your lilacs, I do miss them my grama had big bushes of them and the beautiful scent is amazing . Here in Florida I don't ever see any. I guess they can't tolerate the heat. Bullah is such a sweety pie. You too have a blessed week
