Butterflies In Flight

 I was scrolling through YouTube

the other day and found this

intriguing pop-up card.

I hope I did justice to this design.

It's quite complicated, for me anyway.

But I watched the video, stopped it

and rewound it many times

while going through the steps.

The artist name is Sarah Trebilcock

and I'm putting the link here

to her video on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cZGvOhmrcA

Just in case any of you want to try

making it.

Have fun!!!

And God bless you all.

The Bad And The Good Of My Week

 I've been having
a good week
&
Truly hope that you
can say the same 😊

I needed a couple greeting cards
but didn't feel like driving to town.
I haven't made homemade
cards in such a long time,
it was actually a lot of fun.

I went to Pinterest
for inspiration.

Do you remember the grow light
stands that I made a couple
weeks ago.

Well, some of the plants
are up and doing
very well :)

These are little tomato plants.

Another thing I did this week
was work on a quilt.
I was doing free motion quilting
and I thought everything
was going well,
until I looked at the back
and found that the tension
was off.
I had a half a bobbin
of sewing to rip out 😫

Oh well, we have to take the
bad with the good.
It's all ripped out now
and I can start again.

Actually I have nothing
to complain about.
Ripping out some stitches
is a very trifle thing.

I hope you'll leave a comment
I love reading them.

God bless you all!

Paper Stars

Good evening sweet blogging friends!

I just want to share my amazing

evening with you.

I put up my tree today

and then decided to do my version

of some paper stars that I saw

on Pinerest.

First I got out all my supplies.

Then I put in a Willie Nelson

Christmas CD and got some

cookies out for munching.

I printed these with my computer.

And because my printer won't take

card stock any more, I cut

larger stars from white card stock

and glued the small paper ones

into the center.

Then I applied glue around the edges,

and added glitter.

Punched a hole, added string

and there you go . . .

ready for the tree.

I've just had a lovely evening . . .

and I wanted to share.

God bless you all

Happy Valentie's Day

Today's post is my valentine

to all of you . . .

I've gone through my archives

and found projects with hearts . . .

like these many banners from years

gone by :)

This is a windmill we purchased

for our 40th anniversary.

And this is the base Steve

made for it :)

Next I found pot holders

dish towels, mug rugs & quilt labels.

Many journal pages . . .

I don't know why I quit drawing

it does provide much enjoyment.

This is "sharpie art" that I

did on my first guitar.

These two hearts and the photo

below this one, are hearts that I made

after seeing a tutorial on

Nana Diana's Blog,

Nana Diana Takes A Break

many years ago.

https://thenanadiana.blogspot.com/2017/01/i-heart-you-i-heard-you-heres-tutorial.html

A chair that I painted.

This post is so long . . .

I'm going to stop with some embroidery

and an apron made from

and old pair of jeans.

If you are still here

all that I can say is,

"Bless Your Heart!"

Thank you for following my blog

it has been a source of love and friendship

and you all hold a warm spot in my heart.

God bless you . . .

If you are blessed to still have your

Sweetheart near you

give him a huge hug  . . .

(or her . . . I do have two gentlemen

that follow my blog)

and then thank our Sweet Lord,

because you are blessed 💝

Your blogging sister,

Connie :)

P.S. Again, Happy Valentine's Day!
