Sunflower Stitching

Having fun at the sewing machine.

I love making something
that is freestyle
so I started by drawing a picture.

Then I started cutting and sewing.
It's so freeing when there are no rules
and you can just create as you go.

After mounting this quilt

and placing it on the mantle

I decided to make some coasters

to scatter around the living room.

Again no rules 😁

A little bit Piggly,
A little bit Wiggly
&
And a lot of fun.

Happy Sewing

&

Have A Wonderful Weekend

Dear Friends.

What Have You Been Doing?

I've been helping a friend
make a quilt for her
great grandson.

Isn't it pretty,
He is going to love it.

I had so much fun helping her :)

Myself I've been doing Spring yard work.

And making a few more cards.

🦋🦋🦋

That's my post . . .
short and sweet :)

I hope you have a wonderful
week.

God bless you all!

More Partially Done Projects

It's okay to call me crazy,

I have three projects

that I'm working on

and ready to start a 4th.

I just can't seem to figure out

what I want to do

with any of them

 to make a finished piece.

Hopefully taking time to think

about it will bring me

to a conclusion.

I do hope you're all

having a wonderful day

and that you're not

as scatterbrained as I am.

Grace be with you all

 Connie :)

Snow Days Are Quilt Days

Some call it winter,

Some call it quilting season.

As the snow falls,

The wind blows

And the temperatures drop

I'm inside working

On some sewing projects.

I just thought that I would

share a couple photos.

I hope you're having a sweet day.

Remembering to put God first,

because He certainly put us first

when He sent His Son

to die on the cross for us.

Hallelujah!

Have a lovely week

&

Keep smiling!

My New DIY Ironing Station

Last Saturday a warm day

snuck in-between

all of our cold weather.

I used it

to go out to Steve's shop

and scavenger wood to create

a new ironing station.

This is what I had before.

I was bound and determined

to not buy anything

only using materials I could find

here at home and in Steve's shop.

This was all the paint

that I could find.

I ended up watering it down

to make it work.

Here it is finished.

And here it is complete
with baskets and containers
that I already had.
It's going to make
my small sewing room
so much more efficient.
And it didn't
cost me a single penny.

🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵

You may have noticed

that I have wheels on one side

and not on the other.

I saw a cart on Amazon

made this way.

It kept me from having

to put locking wheels on one side,

which I couldn't find anyway.

I needed handles to make it

easier to lift it up

and

wheel it around.

I couldn't find any old handles

in the shop

but I did find these two coat hooks.

I just installed them upside down

so that I could put my hands under

 them and lift.

It works great !

I'm really happy with the results

and the fact that in helping Steve

with his projects through the years,

I truly learned a lot.

I'm not a carpenter

but I do have the ability

to build rough projects.

 🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵🪡🧵

That's it for this post.

Thank you for stopping by.

Never get in a rut

and think you're not capable

of doing something

Before you first give it a try:)

God bless you all

A Sick & Tired Birthday

I've been under the weather,
with soar throat and congestion,
but much better now :)

Just before getting sick I spent
three days rototilling
this patch of yard,
putting in bark and planting
grass seed.

It's under my clothesline
and I truly wanted
grass and not dirt.

While I was sick I also celebrated
another birthday . . .
One sweet friend dropped off this
tea on my doorstep . . .
I've got such sweet friends :)

Then because I was feeling sad,
sick and lonely
on my birthday I decided to
buy myself a gift.
Good old Amazon!

It works wonderfully.
I made myself the perfect
soft boiled eggs.
It even played a little
tune when they were done :)

Of course I wasn't alone,

I had my faithful friend

always by my side.

Then birthday gifts

and cards started

showing up on my

doorstep . . .

I love this little framed

cross stitch

made by a very dear friend.

And this sweet pillow

for my bedroom.

A lovely reminder of how

awesome a God we serve.

Now look at this amazing

wall hanging quilt.

This sweet friend is a perfectionist

and she is always worrying about

every little stitch in her work,

and I am always telling her

that perfection steals

the joy of creating.

Her quilts (and everything she

makes) are amazing.

This is such a personal gift

and made will so much love 💕

Another friend made me these.

One is her homemade zucchini relish

and the other is a homemade elderberry

couch syrup.

Now, how caring is that.

I'll tell you I am blessed with

truly amazing friends.

🌱🌻🌺🌸🌺🌻🌱

Well, if you are still
reading  . . . thanks
for sticking it out.
I know it was a long post.

God bless you all
and have a lovely week.

Connie :)

Diamonds From Amazon

I purchased diamonds

from Amazon

for my Valentine's present

to myself :)

No, there are not earrings  . . .

They are cabinet knobs LOL.

Here are my dressers finished

A little paint

(that I already had)

and the new knobs.

If you are interested in these pull

handles, go to Amazon and type in

this information ↓

Another thing that I did in the bedroom

was add these dollies to the windows.

All that I did was iron them

with spray starch and then I took

a children's glue stick and glued them

to the window.

The glue is washable, so removing

should be a snap.

I forgot to add these two photos

to my last post.

I have a footstool in front of the

sofa, so I use this tray for a place to

set a "cup-a" when I have company.

I thought that putting this quilt

on the sofa would be in keeping with

my February theme.

I hope that you enjoyed

the little tour and that it

will inspire you . . .

Spring is almost here and we'll be

sending so much time outside

that we won't have the time to tweek the house

like we do now . . . Have Fun!

God Bless You All

Connie :)
