Get Outside & Enjoy!!!

Taking in the joys of the season

before the snow flies :)

I love this time of the year,

but it never lasts as long

as I'd wish.

Already our days are growing

shorter and our nights

are growing colder.

 ~~~🍎🍏🌻🍏🍎~~~
I've decided to enjoy
everyday and every minute.
For tomorrow they will only
be a memory.
This is the end of my
yellow crookneck squash.
I grated the skin and the outside
flesh and then used one
of my zucchini bread recipes.
In stead of vanilla extract
I used orange and added walnuts.
The loaves came out so golden
and simply beautiful.
Give it a try :)
You will not be disappointed.
I also made another batch
of applesauce.
This time using Golden Delicious.
Sunday a friend from church
asked me to join her
on a drive to a farm
that was celebrating 60 years
of family farming.
It was such a nice afternoon.
A beautiful drive,
a chance to visit with a friend,
and a lovely experience.
We even were given a box of apples
to either take home or make
our own jug of apple cider.
Here's my cider and a few
extra apples that I brought home :)
What a fun experience.
This sweet young lady helped
us make our cider and agreed
to having her photo taken.
Isn't she beautiful,
inside and out . . .
such a sweetie pie. 🍎🍏
That's my post . . .
I just want to encourage you
to get outside while the
weather is nice.
 ~~~🍎🍏🌻🍏🍎~~~

Life is a gift . . .

enjoy it!!!!

God bless you all.

Getting Lost In God's Country

Any time that you can drive for an hour

and only see one other car on the road . . .

that's heaven.

Especially when it's through

rolls hills of wheat.

That's what happen to me

last Saturday, when I made

a wrong turn on a country road.

It's was glorious . . .

my tank was full on the car

so I continued driving

to see what I could see.

That's is until I passed a sign that

told me I was entering another

county.

Time to turn around, LOL!

This was the farm that I was

going to.

They were celebrating

Autumn or Fall

which ever you want to call it.

As you can see there were

food booths and craft booths,

alone will a lot of family friendly

fun for all ages.

These are a few of their

cut flower fields.

Of course it's Fall and they are

not as brilliant as summer.

This is the time of year when

nature starts it's rest.

Going to seed and waiting

for frost and then Winter.

They also had live music

with straw bales to sit on

while listening.

(I somehow deleted my photo

of the Blue Grass band)😓

They even had a photo booth :)

Beulah went with me

and Butchy stayed home.

Another thing that I did this week

was dry my hot peppers.

I ended up with a

quart jar . . .

they will be so good added to

spicy dishes this winter :)

That's my post this week,

thank you so much

for stopping by.

God bless you all,

and keep smiling!

Busy Week

What a lovely and busy week

I've had :)

A sweet friend invited me

over for homemade rhubarb pie

and ice cream.

There were 5 of us there

and the conversation

was stimulating and wonderful.

We laughed so much . . .

I needed a good dose of

laughter :)

Next I was invited on

a beautiful drive, picnic

and a trip to an amazing

museum.

This is the magnificent

Columbia River.

This appears to be

a cozy little cabin

in the forest . . .

But truly it was a

picnic shelter,

which we didn't need.

Along side of this picnic area

was a lovely creek with steep

banks.  The children played

in it, but if I would have

ventured down there,

I would have needed help

climbing the bank.

God's World Exploration Station

 This was the museum

Peshastin, WA

If you are ever in this

area, it is a much see.

On my last post I showed you

my neatly kept front garden,

this is my other garden out back

it's a bit wilder.

We called this our meadow.

This lawn is mowed weeds,

but pretty when mowed, LOL.

I have wild flowers here

as well as blackberries,

onion, cucumber, melons,

winter squash, beets

and carrots.

 Oh, and a building

that looks like an old

outhouse . . .

Steve built it for me

to store garden tools :)

Caring for all of this

is what keeps me moving.

A girl has got to get those

steps in, right :)

~~~***~~~
God Bless you all!
Please let me know if you
have any spare time to
visit and help me pull
weeds.
~~~***~~~

 Have a sweet week
