Hi Sara, we play a huge variety from bluegrass, country, blues, gospel, folk, 50, 60 & 70 rock, and even polkas . . . let's just say we are a well rounded group, LOL. Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for visiting. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Hi Kerin, we would have loved having you . . . Good fun, good music and lots of food :) I stepped right off my diet, but I'm back on today :) Have a marvelous day and thanks for stopping by. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Good Morning Diana, Thank you . . . Steve and I have molded into one person through the years and I can not imagine life without him right here by my side. Thirty eight years ago at the end of February, he appeared at my door. He say, I know that you don't know me, but would you like to go out. I said no, then the next week I ask him out . . . we've been together ever since. We'll have our 37 wedding anniversary in April :). Thanks so much for popping in and for being such a sweet dear friend. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
When I first read the title I thought you were making jam (I think you call it jelly!!). What a fun afternoon you had. Spending time with friends, making music and eating what more could you want xxxx
Hi Fran, it was a wonderful afternoon . . . I wish you and Pete could have joined us :) Have a lovely day and thanks so much for popping in . . . I love your company :) Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Hi Sandy . . . it certainly does. It is like a smile, it doe's not matter what language you speak you can have music and enjoy it together. Wishing you a perfect day. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Hi Stephanie, we would have loved to have you here with us. It was a good time and the more the merrier:) Thanks for visiting, you're a sweetie-pie. Your blogging sister, Connie
Hi Melanie, It was a good time . . . our daughter refers to it as one of our "Geezer Parties", but she has been calling it that for 20 years, :) Wishing you sunny skies or a great umbrella. Oh my, I'll bet you have a collection. Have you ever done an umbrella post? Sounds fun to me! Have a marvelous day and thanks so much for stopping by. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Looks like fun. My goal this year is to actually get good enough to play for someone. I finally got the strumming part to sound like strumming! And I'm learning notes and picking. I'm enjoying it. Wish I had more time to practice. It does look like you have a good foot stomping group of fun people there!
Hi Cindy, we do have a marvelous time together. I wish that I lived closer we could form a duo and go around playing at the local nursing homes together. You would not believe the pleasure that you get from playing for them. One of the places where I go solo is an Alzheimer's home . . . they may not remember a lot of things, but sometimes I'll see one or more of them mouthing along to an old tune. Music can be such a magical thing . . . after playing in a place like that I feel so gloriously blessed, and I feel like this little gift of music that I have is being used in the best possible way. It's a joyful thing :) You have been one of my dearest and sweetest followers. I feel a little hug every time I see that you've left a comment. Have a wonderful day. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Hi Janet, It is a lot of fun every time we get together. This particular time we thought and brought a camera. We had not had a group shot in a few years, although we get together several times a month. Thank you for stopping by, I adore company and get so much pleasure reading the comments left by my blogging friends. Have a wonderful day. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Connie, Seeing you with all your musician friends....takes me back to when I was 6-8 years old. My father had a mandolin and he would get with two other men who played guitars. We kids always liked to hear the music.xo,Susie
Hi Susie, I absolutely adore hearing the mandolin. We have a friend that played with us all the time, but he has become widowed and his children moved him closer to them. He is missed, but some of the group travel and visit him and play together. I hate driving in the winter, but when the weather turns to spring, I'll have to make the trip. Music is a miraculous thing :) Have a lovely day. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
You look such a happy crowd there Connie. I'm sorry I haven't been visiting here from Heartforhome-making, but I had messed up my feed settings and didn't see your updates!
Hello Lesley, I am so excited to hear from you . . . hoping that you can help me. When I go to my blog reader list (on my dashboard). . . it is not there. It sounds like I am in the same boat that you were. I do not have the list of post up dates and do not know how to get it back. What did you do? Hope to hear from you and thank you so very much for stopping by. It is wonderful to see you again. I'm coming over to your blog right now to post this and to see what you have been up to :) Have a joy-filled and wonderful day. Your blogging sister, Connie :)
I'm glad I finally get to see you! Is this a band and you are in it, or just a group of friends who love to play together? I would love to see you play if you post a video. What kind of music do you play?
Hi Ginny, The answer to your question is yes and yes . . . Within this group are members of the Old Time Fiddlers which I am a member and travel around playing with them. Also, in this group are friends that we all get together with at least once a week and just play together in one of the gentleman's garages :) We play every thing from gospel, country, folk, 50, 60, and 70 rock and roll, blues and bluegrass. They are all really nice folks and we have a lot of fun. I started playing almost four years ago, so I am the beginner in the group. One of our friends (the fellow in the front row with the banjo) has been playing for over 75 years. He use to play with some dance bands around San Fransisco back when Saturday night was dance night across American. We do not have a video on You Tube or anywhere that I know of :)
I have been enjoying our correspondence . . . you are becoming a wonderful blogging friend. Have a lovely week, your blogging sister, Connie :)
Hi Kelly, I have a pair and they are fun to wear and great to work in . . . a little bit harder to go to the bathroom in :) but I think every farm-girl and gardener should have a pair :) Once a year I paint freckles on my face, put my hair in two braids or ponytails, wear a straw hat and my bid overalls and head to our local Head Start preschool and play and sing for the kids. It's a lot of fun and they all sing along. We do, the doors on the bus, farmer in the dell, etc.
Have a lovely day and thanks for your sweet comment. Your blogging sister, Connie:)

Hi Roxie, we do have a very nice time every time we play together. That's about 8 or 9 times a month for me :), but some of them play even more often than that. I think it keeps us young, and what's better than always having a song in your heart. Thanks for stopping by and letting me introduce you to some of my many friends. Life is good.
