Welcome Spring!
~~~~~~~*****~~~~~~~
I know that it is not quite here, but I'm ready.
How about you ?
Love is in the air . . .
Have you noticed the little birds are starting
to build their nests.
If you don't have an Art Journal,
I hope that this post will inspire you to start one.
Spring . . . if you live in the northern hemisphere,
then it's right around the corner :)
&
If you are one of my dear friends from the southern hemisphere,
then you are probably tried of weeding, mowing and watering.
You are probably as ready
to welcome Autumn as we are to welcome Spring!
~~~~~~~*****~~~~~~~
Whatever your season or weather,
I want to wish you a lovely day,
filled with love and happiness.

Connie :)
P.S. Please leave a comment,
it's the only way that I know that you came to visit :)
Connie, your little birds are SO CUTE! Oh I wish I had the talent, I would draw all day long..but alas, I am a scribbler.

DeleteI'm so ready for Spring :)
Hi, Connie,
ReplyDeleteSpring has definitely sprung down here in the South. Although the dogwoods haven't started blooming yet. Lovely pictures. You are so talented.
D
Hi Donna. . . Oh, I love Dogwood trees and in the south you have wild Red-bud trees. I remember how beautiful they are. Have a wonderful Spring day . . . ours is just around the corner :)
DeleteOh Connie, that is gorgeous work, I am sure people that read your blog have no idea that you are the artist!!! Yep, I am one of your southern friends and our spring trimming and planing is already done, it is still nice weather here for another month than look out........Heat, heat, and more heat!!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Hi Carol, You must have a very long growing season, fresh tomatoes for months :) Most of our planting is after May 15th, to guarantee no frost in the mornings. Our days are warming up to sometimes hitting the low 50's but our nights are very cold. But, alas, Spring is coming :)
DeleteThank you for the sweet compliment on my drawings :)
Poppies!! I love your big, bright, beautiful poppies!!! Each year, I wait with baited breath to snap them, my favorite subjects.
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, Yesterday I notice my little poppies starting to pop up from the ground in my backyard. They are those little bright yellow ones that bloom most of the summer. We are still having freezing weather at night but your days are starting to reach the low 50's . . . Spring is on the way . . . Happy. happy, happy . . . it is so good to feel the warm sunshine :)
DeleteI saw my first robin of the season today! Still having lower than normal temps tho. April just around the corner tho! Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, It doesn't matter how old we get, the sight of our first robin of the season is always an exciting pleasure. Robins, tulips, daffodils and the delightful music of the birds . . . Awwwwwwwwwwww Spring-time :)
DeleteConnie, your art work is so beautiful...seriously, it should be on greeting cards or women's canvas art!
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie, thank you for the lovely compliment. I do have fun drawing in my journal :)
DeleteYour journal is so pretty and you do inspire me. We had such had weather last year and still have snow on the ground, so warm sunshine seems a very distant memory. I hope we have some sort of summer this year. Still I can look at your lovely drawings and dream! Xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Fran, our weather is still freezing every night, but our days are starting to warm up. It's been a long cold weather . . . Keep dreaming, because Spring is coming :)
DeleteThank you for your very sweet compliment on my drawings :)
Love your pictures, especially the fourth one as that is how I feel today, even though it's only 5.30 am, blowing a hoolie outside and raining! (I finished my block of teaching yesterday and I feel as free as a bird to do what I want for the next few weeks!!!)

Hi Kimberly . . . thank you so much :)

So glad you stopped by, from what I've seen so far I like your style, now I shall read on xx
Isn't it fun to watch the birds. I haven't seen by first robin of the year yet, but I'm watching :)
DeleteYou are soo talented Connie! I'm not much of an artist but my girls like to draw and write. I'm getting them both Smash books to journal their teenage years ☺
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, I think that is great . . . journaling can be a very relaxing and special way to hold on to wonderful memories. Thank you for your very sweet comment :)
DeleteYour pages are wonderful Connie - so colourful, uplifting and beautifully drawn. Can't wait for Spring either - today has been rain, rain, and more rain. I did see a bird the other day though with nesting material in it's beak - and a couple of daffodils have finally started to bloom - it'll soon be here! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, thank you for the lovely compliment.
DeleteSpring, Spring, Spring . . . I can not wait!
Hi Connie,
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful doodle pages! I have a few watercolor books that I should get some paint down on! I found them on sale at Ross, of all places!
I am so very ready for spring! I actually watered my perennials yesterday. I need to clear the way for the new bits of green that will hopefully popping up in the next few weeks. The rule of thumb here is to not plant anything before Mother's Day. That just seems so far away.
Hugs,
Kay
Hi Kay, Mother's day does sound like a long ways away . . . but it will be here before we know it:)
DeleteHey, we just got a Ross in our town . . . it opened last week. I'm so excited. We have had very little shopping except for Wal-Mart . . . for way too long :)
Hi Connie! loving your first page, those birds are soooo sweet! and the colors you used make me smile :) have a great day, hugs,
