I love hats!!! & This is my favorite hat to wear in the summer. It has a simple hatband that I made from yo-yo's.
Hats protect us from the harmful rays of the sun, but what I like about hats is that you can look very put-together and fashionable . . . even on your worst bad hair day. A hat, lipstick, and earrings and your looking good.
Have a great day. Whether you choose to wear a hat or not, be sure and wear a smile.
I LOVE it! And you look so cute! I used to buy and wear hats all the time, but not so much now. But it would be good for me to have one or two for bad hair days. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
I love your hat! And what a great idea to put the yo-yo's around. How did you connect them to the twine? I have had skin cancer on my nose so wear hats to garden. Yours is much more fashionable! Nancy
Hi Nancy, I just sewed my yo'yos together to make the hat band, it was just a tiny bit too large and would slip off at times. I fixed that with about four little dabs of hot glue (front, back and at each side). I have another that I hot glued buttons around the brim to make a band of buttons. It's a fun hat to wear, too, and I'm always getting compliments on it. Seems like everyone loves buttons :)

Hi Debbie, I worked on the boat yesterday, and Steve took the day off today . . . so that we could starting getting a few bigger jobs done . . . and guess what, it's raining :) Good for the garden but not for working on the boat, LOL. Here's wishing you a weekend filled with smiles.
Your hat is fab Connie, I love the trimmings you have put on. I only wear one proper hat, a straw one, which was quite expensive at the time but is my 'summertime' hat. I dont 'do' hats normally but I do like my sun bonnet.
I love sun bonnets. When my daughter was small she was extra sensitive to the sun, so I collected sun bonnets for her, and she never went outdoors without one on :)
It was a pleasure to have you stop by my blog. Thank you for leaving such a nice compliment. i would be happy to follow your blog. Your are very talented and creative it will be fun to visit you, :)
Hello Connie! Thank you so much for becoming a new follower of my blog, and I am now a new follower of yours as well :) I love summer hats, but don't wear them. My kids and grandkids make fun of me, LOL One time they said I looked like Big Bird ( yellow hat ) Your hat looks awesome with the yo yos!
Hello Denise, I am delighted to have you as a follower . . . your blog rocks . . . you are a amazing talent :) It is going to be so much fun sharing ideas and getting to know you better :)
Love your straw hat Connie! I am a "Hat" aficionado as well ... have one straw very similar to the one you are modeling, and the other with a floppier, wider brim ... also have two straw cowgirl hats. One can never have too many hats!
Hi Connie. You look lovely in your summer hat, and I so agree about feeling well put together in a hat. Are you still happy with your shorter hair? I know you are used to wearing it longer. It looks great, by the way. Just asking, as I'm fighting the urge to chop mine off again to about your length.
Hi Sara, as long as I leave enough so that I can get it into a ponytail . . . I'm okay. Any shorter is just too short for me. It can be the world's shortest ponytail . . . There are just times when I want it pulled back and out of the way :) That's just me :) If you decide to go through with it, please post photos.
Evening Connie, You look so PRETTY in your favorite summer hat!! From the looks of that smile, you are having a wonderful Spring/Summer! Blessings~~~Roxie
Good morning Roxie, thanks for the sweet visit. Actually Steve has the day off and we were planning on working on the boat, but it is raining cats and dogs outside . . . so here I sit at the computer blogging and watching the rain come down. Maybe I can get some house work done, my poor house has taken a step back behind the boat for the last three months. I only have so many hours in a day, and so much energy, you know :) Have a lovely week and thanks again for stopping by.
