I Had A Craving For Muffins

What do you do when you have over ripe bananas?
Well, you have two choices . . .
Throw them out or bake :)

I decided to bake and I love bran muffins.
So I searched the pantry for bran and found Grape Nuts.
Thanks to the internet . . .after Googleing Post Grape Nuts recipes,
I came up with this.

I love the internet :)

So after  . . .

 Mixing and baking . . .

I had these . . . Yum :)

Just what I was craving and the
Grape Nuts gave them a little crunch
just like the recipe promised.

Sooooooooooooo good.

Happy Baking.

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

    1. Hi there sweetie . . . I have never tried frying bananas, although I have heard they are delicious. The milk shake sounds yummy, too.
Thanks for sending along some more great ideas. They have so much flavor in them when they reach this almost gone stage of life :)
We certainly don't want to waste them :)

  4. Yum! They look wonderful. I like my bananas barely ripe so only buy what I'll eat in the next three days.

I found a recipe on how to make potato soup in the crock pot. It was interesting; next time I'll modify it a bit. I agree, the interenet (and pinterest) is wonderful!!!

    Peace,
    Kay

  9. Bananas, the ultimate, ready wrapped convenience food, love 'em! I always freeze over ripe bananas ready for banana soft scoop (healthier than ice cream) or for banana bread, but this recipe sounds great. At the moment I am into sweetcorn savoury muffins, can't make enough of them xxx

    1. Hi Fran, I am a muffin lover, especially crunchy and savory. When my daughter was young I used to half bananas , insert a pop-sickle stick, dip the banana in yogurt, then roll it in cereal and freeze. They make great healthy snacks and replace ice cream bars :)

  11. Mmmm, looking delicious there, Connie! I think bananas should always be consumed when a little overripe - before they get that cotton-woolley texture. The are so much sweeter than their totally unblemished cousins! As Fran above, I would normally make banana bread (never tried freezing them, must give it a go.) but muffins sound pretty good too! Lx

    1. Hi Lynne, When our daughter was young I used to half bananas , insert a pop-sickle stick, dip the banana in yogurt, then roll it in cereal and freeze. They make great healthy snacks and replace ice cream bars :) I haven't made these in years and I just think that I should try this again . . . Steve and I could both use an ice cream substitute, LOL

  13. Oh, those look delicious.

You left such sweet words on my last post, but when I went to reply, it said that the comment came form a know site that was used to steal identification. So, I am thanking you here for your sweet words. I don't know what's up, but I know that there are so many hackers out there.

    1. Hi Carol, you know I worry so much about hackers, and someone getting into my blog and messing it up. I love my little space here in blog-land and would be heartbroken if it were to get spoiled, or that I would carry anything to anyone else blog. If you got a message like that, well you were wise to not reply. I hope that it does continue to pop up.

    1. I know Helen . . . banana bread is so yummy. When my daughter went off to college (the first time) she would call and ask me to send her some banana bread. It was a little taste of home :)
