Smile More, Give More, Learn More & Love More

Keeping with my New Year's Resolution to give more,
I've had this wonderful idea
and it involves each of my delightful followers.

Throughout the year when I make something that seems to fit one of you . . .
it will become a gift.
A gift that I hope you will like.
It may be inspired my one of your hobbies, collections, favorite colors, etc.

I just think that it will be fun to share . . .

The first blogging sister to receive one of these gifts is
Roxie of
Sweet Vintage Of Mine

Roxie has this adorable little vintage trailer
that was my inspiration.
~~~~~*****~~~~~
 Sweetie-My vintage canned ham
She named her "Sweetie"
~~~~~*****~~~~~
Roxie, please email me your mailing address
and I will get this pair of Mug Rugs out to you.

When you are set up at a craft sale with Sweetie,
remember me with a cup of tea :)

This is going to be a fun year,
because what is more fun than spreading love :)
Your blogging sister,
 Connie :)

  10. I must head over to Roxie's blog to check out that little trailer. My grandparents had one, and I have the fondest memories. I told hubby I would love one, but since we have a camp that we go to every weekend in the summer, he didn't feel I was being practical. LOL What a thoughtful gift for Roxie that she will cherish ❤❤

    1. Hi Debbie, If our backyard where bigger, I would love to find one just to set up as a guest house, even if it never got pulled down the highway.
      I just think it would be a special surprise and make staying at our home a little bit more fun. A girl could really have fun decorating one of those little gems :)

  14. Connie, you are such a generous, warm-hearted person! And incredibly talented, your embroidery and quilting is perfect, I am in awe of anyone who can achieve that wriggly effect with their sewing machine!!!!!!
    Roxie will adore and treasure the gift you've made her, so personal to her (the little trailer is so cute!) and made just for her.

    1. Hi Carol, You have been giving for as long as I've known you, and I know long, long, long before that, too. In fact I am so excited about my little felt hearts that I might just kiss the mailman when he brings them. Don't tell him that, or I'll never get them, LOL.
      MAILMEN BEWARE: of mean dogs and excited grandmas! I hope that you are having a lovely weekend and I'm looking forward to hearing how wonderful your dinner party goes :)

  17. You and I think alike in the giving department. I have always loved doing for others and still do. When out shopping, I have others on my mnnd for things and never for myself. It is nice knowing there are still some around like you.

    1. You are a sweetie, but the truth is I like to shop for myself, too. There is joy in giving. Mine has always been charities, family and friends . . . but blogging has created a whole new set of family. It is hard to believe how you can get so attached to people you will probably never meet.
      I feel a very close friendship to so many of my blogging sisters and I get so much more from them, just my being invited into their blogs to be a part of their journeys. Life is good.

    1. Hi Lisa, thank you so much, but I can not take credit for hand-stitching the little trailer. It is an embroidery design that I downloaded to my sewing machine. It is cute though, right :)

  22. It is around 8 am in the morning and I am sitting here with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face! Connie, you don't know how much this means to me....first I love those little mug rugs and when I saw the quilt you made with the camper on it, oh, how sweet!!! And now, you are starting to make and give gifts to your blogging sisters!! You are so precious to me and I admire your talent in every way! When I came to this post and saw the word Sweetie, I thought ohhhh...look at this, then I continued to see it was for me. What a surprise...I can't say Thank you, enough. In case you didn't know... the vintage canned ham was named after a cat Hubby brought to our family when we married. Her name was Sweetie. Sweetie became missing Feb 23,2010. Even though I only knew her less than 5 yrs. she was a little diva and grabbed my heart. Sweetie and I will enjoy this gift very much! Blessings my friend....from one sweetie to another~~~Roxie (i sent you info, you requested)

  25. Hi Connie...I just found your blog thru Roxie's blog "Sweet Vintage of Mine". What a wonderful and perfect gift for her!! What a wonderful year you are going to have spreading love to your blog sisters.
    I just started following you. I've been sewing since I was 11 years old and I've been doing machine embroidery since 1995. A few years ago...I traded in my sewing/embroidery machine for a small professional embroidery machine. I love to sew, but I love, love, love to do embroidery!!
