~~~~~ ***** ~~~~~
On January 6th, 2012
I published my first post, it was about . . .
my bedroom studio in our old house:)
It was a great space, but half the size of my new Art Barn.
To celebrate my 3 year Blogaversary.
I want to have a
Give-A-Way !
Let me rephrase that.
I want to have 3 give-a-ways,
One for each of the 3 years that I have been blogging.
~~~~~ ***** ~~~~~
This week's Give-A-Way
is a pot-holder and a dish towel.
I'm using a cottage & heart theme on these.
I hope you like them :)
~~~~~ ***** ~~~~~
To enter, there are only 2 Rules:
1. leave a comment
2. be a follower on Google Friend Connect
That's it!
The first winner will be announced on Monday, Jan 12th.
There will also me a second give-a-way
starting that day:)
Then on Monday the 19th,
I'll announce the second winner
&
start the third give-a-way.
I hope that you will all visit each post
and enter each give-a-way . . .
This is going to be fun!
I have met so many lovely people through blogging,
and your friendships have warmed my heart.
~~~~~ ***** ~~~~~
This is just a little way to say
Thank you :)

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Super cute! Happy Blogaversary and Happy new year!

DeleteGood Luck
Time flies by.. Beautiful giveaway.. Have a Happy New Year.. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteIt sure does, doesn't Becky.
DeleteNice to see you and good luck :)
Cute give aways....I would love a new pot holder. Mine are getting pretty raggety as are my dish towels too. Love your Art Barn and am amazed at how tidy it always looks. Everything has a place.
ReplyDeleteLouise
Good Morning Louise, Oh, my goodness, you know I try to keep it tidy, but when I have two or three things going on at once (which is my usual habit) it can get pretty messy, LOL. It is nice to have a spot where you're able to just leave things spread out and shut the door. Great to see you, Happy New Year and good luck . . . your name is in the hat :)
DeleteHi Connie, congrats on your 3 year anniversary!! Your giveaway is special and I would love to enter. I am also a follower!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy new year

Hi Annie, last year when we moved to the country, we down sized our home and up sized our property. So we purchased a 12 X 24 foot barn and turned in into my "Art Bar". It is a dream come true and a great get away :) Thanks for joining my fun and remember there will be a give-a-way each week :)
DeleteSuper cute! Congratulations on your anniversary. Jane

DeleteThanks for the new year wish and good luck on the drawing, your name is in the hat :)
Connie - I just popped over to wish you and your family a very Happy New Year. It is off to a good start in your new home. Love the giveaway but don't enter me as the postage to the UK is horrendous! Lots of love Fran xxx
ReplyDeleteDear Fran, I would not think of not entering your name. Postage might be high, but if your name is pulled from the hat, then you just expect a package.
DeleteIt would be my pleasure to have my little pot holder working along side that beautiful cooker of yours :)
Happy blog-iversary Connie!
ReplyDeleteIt has been wonderful getting to know you-- I can't believe you've only been blogging 3 short years! Seems like I have known you for much longer! It's been a JOY!
Hi Patricia, I could not believe that it was only three years, too. When I checked the date of my first post I was surprised. Blogging has been a true blessing . . . I feel like I know so much more about the different areas of the world than I did before. I have walked the beaches, villages, and cities of many countries and in the safety of my little comfy chair in front of the computer. I have tried new ideas from sewing, gardening, crafting and cooking. Blogging has opened up my mind and my interests and it has made me see that women from every walk of life have a common ground of family caregivers and peacemakers. I am proud to me a blogger and have a lovely community of blogging friends. I appreciate your friendship and good luck on the drawing, you name is in the hat :)
DeleteCongratulations on your blog anniversary. It's amazing how time flies by so quickly. I'm thrilled to be one of the readers who stops by here and gets to see the wonderful things you've been doing.
ReplyDeleteLove your giveaway items.
Hi Ann, I have a feeling that this is going to be a fabulous year. Thanks so much for following my blog. I have enjoyed are many visits and getting to know you better with each one. Happy new year and good luck on the give-a-way. be sure and enter each week :)
DeleteI'm not sure if I'm on Google friend or not (will have to check that out later). I do think your giveaway is wonderful. And to give one for each year is so generous of you.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning! I am delighted that you like my give-a-way . . . when you make something to give a way it's lovely getting feel back that people like it :)
DeleteI've always been a fan of red and white . . . it's so country vintage :) Thank you for helping me celebrate my three years of blogging :)
Congratulations on your 3rd blogaversary. Wow so much has happened since you started blogging. Especially where your new home is concerned.
ReplyDeleteYour giveaway gifts are beautiful, how kind to have 3 giveaways!
Hope you and your family have a wonderful 2015.
Ali xx
Good Morning Ali, well it is 14 degrees outside, so I am drinking hot coffee and still wrapped in my flannel bathrobe. I think that I just might curl up in my chair and watch the Rose Parade and dream about roses and spring-time :) Thanks for stopping by and helping me celebrate my three years. It has been a wonderful adventure and I have met so many lovely people, like yourself. Your name is in the hat, good luck and Happy New Year :)
DeleteThose are so pretty. I would like to enter your contest. Your non-tech friend here asks if I am a follower of you on Google? I get notices in my e-mail when you post. Does that mean I am???? LOL Thanks for your help. Nancy
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, if you want to follow all that you have to do is hit the little blue button above the photos of my lovely followers.
DeleteIt's pretty easy and I would love to have you as a follower. We have been visiting with each other for a long time so I really thought that you were a follower too, until I checked. Surprise, surprise, right? Happy New Year.
Crafty Home Cottage is just 5 days older than Art and Sand!
ReplyDeleteWow! I did not realize that. It's just another thing that we have in common.
DeleteGood luck on the give-a-way and Happy New Year :)
Connie, I absolutely *love* these items and they would match my kitchen perfectly as I have red accents! Even if I don't win (which, of course, I hope I do), I love these two items so much that I would love to buy another set just like them from you if you so desired to make another. Let me know, OK?
ReplyDeleteMelanie, you are so sweet :) I have red accents, too. Our mixer quit working a few months ago and I thought that I could get along with just a hand mixer . . . until making Christmas cookies. So we ordered a new mixer. A red one; it is not here yet, but I am happily waiting on the UPS man to drive into the driveway :) Thank you for your sweet words . . . I'll think about it, okay. Good Luck, you might just win, you never know :)
DeleteCongrats on your blog anniversary, beautiful giveaway! Happy New Year to you my friend and all the best for 2015! Hugs, Diane

DeleteI love my new Art Barn. When we moved here, there was a great shop for Steve, but no space for me.
I had some money saved up, so I purchased a small barn and turned it into my Art Barn.
I love having this great space and feel very blessed.
Congratulations on your Bloggiversary Connie. You are so sweet to want to give something back to your readers. Don't include me in the giveaway however as I live in the UK and the cost of postage over here is outrageous. Just wanted to tell you congratulations!

ReplyDeleteHi Connie, welcome to my humble little blog. The last three years have been an journey in creativity and friendships. It is amazing how you can become great friends with sister bloggers that you will probably never meet in person. It is not only a grand place to share ideas, but has become a place of prayer for one another when in need, an place of encouragement and another thing that I love about blogging is that it is a place of adventure. I so enjoy seeing the world (you know the real everyday world, not the travel brochure world) of my new friends and enjoying the traditions of their families and countries.
DeleteThank you for follow my blog and good luck on the give-a-way :)

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
Hi Kathy, it is great to see you again and I am delighted that you stopped my to visit and to help me celebrate my three happy years of blogging. It has been a delicious adventure and I have met so many wonderful and creative sister bloggers. Thanks again and good luck on the give-a-way :)
DeleteHi Connie and thanks for becoming a follower of my blog. I am now a following this blog also. A good thing as I'm getting in touch with my crafty side again, having joined a knitting and crocheting group here in the canyon where I live.
ReplyDeleteHi again, I just read your comment and it is nice to meet a fellow Swede, or half a Swede, I guess. I wan't sure about buying this place in the desert mountains but once I drove from Los Angeles to our home here as the sun rose over the Mojave desert and I fell in love. We live at 4,100 feet, so more in the mountains than the high desert. I love it, except for the heat of about 100 days of the year. Particularly in this drought we are experiencing.
ReplyDeleteHello Inger, Welcome to my blog and thank you for following. Your name is in the hat :)
DeleteI'm sorry, I got your comment about Sweden mixed up with another blogger friend's who turns out to be half Swedish.
ReplyDeleteYour towel and pot holder are cute. I don't keep track of my blogging anniversary mainly because I have had times where I ended up taking unintended blogging breaks for a few months at a time almost every year I blogged. I will post my aaward winning photo on my I won post so you can see it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again on winning the Photo Contest :)
DeleteBeautiful work! Congrats on your blog anniversary and thanks for stopping by my blog today and leaving your kind comment!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy, Welcome to my little blog, I love making new friends :)
DeleteHappy, Happy 3rd Blogging Anniversary Connie! You have became a dear blogging sister and you are such a talented,sweet lady!! I am soooo happy to have gotten to know you~~~maybe one day we can meet in person! Your "heart" handmade keepsakes are adorable!! Love them~~~ Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteHi Roxie, I am delighted that you stopped by to help me celebrate. Since i've had by blog I have met so many lovely people . . . it would be great to meet you in person, but I haven't been back to the Midwest in over twelve years, but then again who knows :) Good luck on the give-a-way :)
DeleteWow, you are very talented! Lots of beautiful colors in here! Making things sure gives a person some warm fuzzy feel good feelings! Congrats on the 3 years of blogging! Thanks for following me! I hope you have a great time now in the country!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you for following me, too:) I am going to enjoy learning more about raising animals and enjoying your delightful farm photos.
DeleteMaybe someday I can have a half dozen chickens around here :) Good luck on the give-a-way :)
An Art Barn...I love that idea. My husband is fascinated with tiny houses right now. I guess they must be quite the thing currently. 400-500 square feet of living space. I would prefer a little more space than that to live in. We started in a 12 X 60 mobile home I don't really want to go back to that small. I told him he could build me a tiny studio when we retire :) But I want a normal size house.
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I love having you as a follower and it will be fun following your blog . . . a little internet visit to my home turf, LOL
DeleteI love my Art Barn, it is 336 square feet. The idea that I can start a project and leave it all spread out until the next time I have time to work on it is wonderful. Sometimes the reason it takes so long to finish something is because we have to fold it all up and put it away each time; then it's not worth pulling out if you only have 30 minutes or so to work on it. Keep encouraging your hubby to build you your dream studio . . . that way you both win (tidy house/studio) :)
Good luck on the give-a-way, your name is in the hat :)
Hi Connie, What a pleasure to have you stop by John's Island, leave me a kind comment, and follow the blog. I'm your newest follower too! :-) I see that you have 3 interesting blogs and I'm curious which one are you posting on most frequently? Hope to see you at John's Island often. John
ReplyDeleteHi John, I am delighted to have you as a follower and I love your blog. This is the blog that I use all the time. The other two are only used occasionally, I probably should just close them down, but not for now. I'm adding your name to the hat, so good luck on my give-a-way :)
DeleteHi Connie,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your three years of blogging!
I've always enjoyed reading your blog
and I know you are so talented!!
Have a great weekend

xoxo
