Merry Christmas From Our Home To Yours.

Sunday afternoon we spent time at our neighbors
playing games and eating
her wonderful homemade cinnamon rolls.
She gifted me with these lovely tea towels
and homemade fudge :)

He gifted Steve with this handmade sign.
We don't deserve such sweet friends,
but we sure do love them :)
This polka dot spatula was included
with my gift.
It is prefect for my kitchen :)
Following are a few of our favorite ornaments.
Each one holds a special memory.
Our daughter made six of these German stars
one year in grade school.

This was the last year that I spent
Christmas with my brothers and sisters,
all together.
This little desk was a gift
from one of my preschool students
and
the little hut is from our trip to Maui.
This one is from last Christmas
celebrating our first year in your new home :)
I think that this one is the oldest
one on our tree.
With out our Wonderful Savior
we wouldn't have this special time of
celebration.
 Merry Christmas!

  4. I love your ornaments! And I'm amazed at the Moravian Stars your daughter made in grade school. Those take some clever folding! I had to laugh at the sign you received - yes, Santa mixed those wishes up for me, too!

    1. That sign is hilarious . . . Santa can get confused, LOL About those stars, I know, I have tried making them from instructions that I found on the internet and I have never succeeded. That would be a good hands-on class to take. She was in the sixth grade and after making them they dripped them in wax and glitter, so they have held up very well through the years :)

  7. Christmas is such a special time of year.
Most families have their own 'traditions' which I think is lovely.
Ornaments, special trinkets collected over the years mean such a lot and always give so much pleasure.

Thank you for sharing yours with us.

May you have a blessed week.

    All the best Jan

I love Christmas ornaments and so many of mine have memories and stories attached to them as well. I am missing seeing them this year. I am excited to pick up a new one or two in Prague though. 14. Hi Connie, I enjoyed reading the history behind your decorations :) They do bring back memories, don't they??
We have some 1950's very fragile glass fir cones which my brother chose as a little boy...amazingly they have survived!
    I treasure them.
You had fun with your friends, what yummy looking goodies you were given!
    Christmas joy!

    1. I remember my oldest brother buying some lights back in the 1950's that were bubbling candles . . . oh, they probably wouldn't work today even if they would had survived the years. I think it is wonderful that you still have those ornaments. Back then they were all made of glass (mostly quite thin, too) and very fragile. You have a family treasure . . . Merry Christmas!

  15. Hey there Connie! What sweet neighbors you have and I bet you blessed them too! Homemade fudge is the best! I'd be nibbling on it too much, I'd definitely have to hide it from myself. I loved reading about your special ornaments. I love the little desk, so cute. And yes, Jesus is the reason for the season! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and I look forward to sharing the new year with you here in blogland. Hugs! Sherry
