The View From My Window

~~~~~***~~~~~
I am not sure exactly why I am writing this . . .
I do not want sympathy,
but I guess that I am wanting
to just explain
why I have not been replying to comments.
It’s a head and chest cold . . .
the absolutely worst one in years.
This is my seventh day  . . .
It should be getting better but no,
it is not.
I cough all the time and when I do my head
Implodes  . . . it's like this small A bomb that
gravitates to the outer boundaries of my skull.
I moan and cough again . . .
We’ve all been here . . .
it’s just my turn.
These viruses enjoy spreading their love
and make the rounds every few years.
So, I am thinking that ten days
is a full blown time for this
sort of thing to last.
I am blessed with my Sweet Steve,
he is a supreme caregiver,
the best anyone could wish for.
Love is wonderful!
He sees me in my uncombed hair,
red nose, wrinkled pj's and he still
thinks I'm lovable.
He listens to my croaky
and sometimes whiny crybaby voice
and he treats me with dignity.
I am truly blessed:)
~~~~~***~~~~~
Merry Christmas.

Keep Smiling,
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  6. Hi Connie,
    Yikes! I came back from vacation with swollen tonsils. I immediately went to Urgent Care to get on some antibiotics. I didn't want any infection settling on my new knee replacement!

    I hope you feel better soon. So glad you have a good man to take care of you!!!

    Merry Christmas to you and Steve!

    Hugs,
    Kay

  7. Oh Connie, I hope you can kick that virus to the curb. I'm glad you have a wonderful husband to care for you when you feel so lousy. The view outside your window is such a pretty one. I keep hoping for snow, but we'll likely have rain. Merry Christmas, even if the merriment is of the quieter sort.

  14. Oh MUCH sympathy coming your way, anyway! The wretched head and chest cold will exit soon, I hope, though do look after yourself a bit more after as chests can be nasty. Aren't husbands wonderful!? I am so glad yours is happy to give the TLC.
    Have some tiny treats tomorrow and snuggle up, its the best you can do under the circumstances....many blessings for a Wonderful, Active New Year!

  21. I'm so sorry that you have been so sick. Those viruses come and don't want to leave. I hope you will soon feel much better. I was nowhere as sick but had an awful headache and nausea for 5 days. I was tempted to go to ER but then I thought of how long I'd have to wait there and besides, they'd just say it's a virus. So now I feel better but DH is showing symptoms.
    The mailman must have come really late yesterday because today I found your note and the delightful postcards in my mailbox! A surprise gift on Christmas Day. Thank you so much.
    Take care, Granny M.
