Danish Christmas Pixie In February

Around Christmastime you may have been
seeing these cute pixies everywhere . . .
I know that I did.

Well, I started Googling them,
until I found a pattern.

I put the pattern up in a safe place
and forgot where that was . . .
come on confess,
we have all done that, right?

After finding it,
I had to give this little guy a try.

Now, if I put him up in a safe place,
will I remember where that is come
Christmastime next year :)

 We'll see, LOL.

I just needed a little break from quilting
and this was a fun project.

Have A Great Weekend
&
Keep Smiling!

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  1. Adorable. I must confess to putting things away in a safe place and then not remembering where that safe place was.

    1. It is so easy to do . . . and not because we are getting older and forgetful, because I've gone this sort of thing all my life :)

    1. Hi Betsy, me too . . . I've purchased birthday cards too early to mail and put them up only to forget where and have to buy again. That's the problem with putting things up that have deadlines :) I'm happy that you like my little fellow. Happy weekend!

  7. I spent a couple of hours yesterday looking for something. I know I didn't find it but do you think I can even remember what in the world I was looking for?
Your cute elf makes me think of the "Elf on a Shelf" that seemed to be around at Christmas.

    1. I know, we all need to get a "Special Place Cupboard" and place to put all the things we want a special place for, LOL Then maybe we'll find them:)

  8. Oh Connie I LOVE him! Can you share where you found the pattern? I'm thinking he would be fun to make in spring colors for Easter! And yes, I've put things in a safe place for later and couldn't remember where...but not as bad as my neighbor! She put all of her good jewelry up before a trip and couldn't remember where she put it for a year and a half! She found it two weeks ago!!! Hey we are having perfect weather in Indiana right now! It's in the 60's! Have a good weekend.

  11. I had not seen those pixies. The kids do the elfs though for their kids. I am guilty of forgetting about things also. We are having some beautiful weather here so will dread the cold when it ends. Getting closer to spring all the time though. Enjoy your weekend! Nancy

  15. That little pixie is pretty darn cute. Do you have Danish family ties? I can imagine how hard stuffing those skinny arms ans legs had to be. Great job!

    1. No Danish ties here . . . British, Irish and Dutch on my side. Reaching the tip of his hat and the tip of his toes where the hardest . . . but I think I'll do it again and make a girl next time :)

  16. He's a doll... hadn't seen any in my Christmas forays out and about.. but really didn't go out to many places this year.. he is just the sweetest thing. I can't imagine getting that stuffing way down into this boots and little hands! Isn't red and white the most cheerful thing ever? He just makes me want to chuckle! And what a cute little face. xoxo Marilyn

  18. That is so cute! That is the first one I've seen. Oh Connie, any time I put something in a special place...so I will know exactly where it is...I can never find it again. Glad I'm not by myself. :)

  22. Good morning Connie,

Greetings from our home away from home. We are in California at the moment weathering all the storms that have passed through this past week. That's a really cute little guy you have made there. Hope you won't be like me and put him in a "safe place" that's so safe you can't find him next year. LOL! Blessings to you.

  23. Connie, just darling. I don't think I could help you find him for next year as that is a problem that I have too. I am starting to make a list of where I put things if I can remember to look at it from time to time.!.Happy Tuesday..Judy

    1. Hi Judy, One Christmas I started doing my shopping in the late summer. Then to keep anyone from seeing them, I wrapped them early, too, without tags. When I pulled them out of my hiding place, I had forgotten which gift went with which person, LOL. I had to unwrap them all before I could make tags. That's one of the silliest things I've none :) Of course when I wrapped them I knew that I would remember.

  24. Hi Connie,
Your pixie is adorable. I love the combination of fabrics that you've chosen. Maybe you could pin the pattern to his back? I have a household full of things that I've stashed somewhere "just to get out of the way." Yikes!!!

Thank you for your visit. Maybe I'll get to play on the weekend and embellish my card a bit! They didn't even give us envelopes to mail them in!!!

    Hugs,
    Kay

    1. When we moved we also had a huge yard sale . . . I was to a point that I just wanted to throw it away or burn it or do anything to get out of doing anymore moving. Now, when I can't find something, I always wonder if it went in the yard sale or if I should keep looking for it . . . it's a mystery, LOL
