Around Christmastime you may have been
seeing these cute pixies everywhere . . .
I know that I did.
Well, I started Googling them,
until I found a pattern.
I put the pattern up in a safe place
and forgot where that was . . .
come on confess,
we have all done that, right?
After finding it,
I had to give this little guy a try.
Now, if I put him up in a safe place,
will I remember where that is come
Christmastime next year :)
We'll see, LOL.
I just needed a little break from quilting
and this was a fun project.
Have A Great Weekend
&
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
A tall cutie! Super!
ReplyDeleteThank You :)
DeleteAdorable. I must confess to putting things away in a safe place and then not remembering where that safe place was.
ReplyDeleteWe all do, don't we, LOL
DeleteHe's cute as can be. I love those ears. Yes I have put patterns in a safe place and forgotten where or more accurately that I forgot about them completely.
ReplyDeleteIt is so easy to do . . . and not because we are getting older and forgetful, because I've gone this sort of thing all my life :)
DeleteAdorable pixie, Connie!!!! So sweet and cute. Enjoy, Janie
ReplyDeleteThank you . . . you'll be seeing him again next Christmas. If I don't forget, LOL
DeleteI looked for a pattern forever, but had no luck.
ReplyDeleteYour little guy turned out adorable!
Look no more . . . sweet friend. I'm delighted that you like him, because I was thinking of you while making him :)
DeleteOh- He is so cute! You can use him for Christmas and Valentine's Day! He is very, very cute. You did a good job on him! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHe was fun to make . . . a little bit hard to get stuffing all the way to the ends of his pointed hat and toes :)
DeleteI put things up for safekeeping all the time and then they disappear! Ha ha! I think your little pixie is just darling.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Hi Betsy, me too . . . I've purchased birthday cards too early to mail and put them up only to forget where and have to buy again. That's the problem with putting things up that have deadlines :) I'm happy that you like my little fellow. Happy weekend!
DeleteI spent a couple of hours yesterday looking for something. I know I didn't find it but do you think I can even remember what in the world I was looking for?
ReplyDeleteYour cute elf makes me think of the "Elf on a Shelf" that seemed to be around at Christmas.
I know, we all need to get a "Special Place Cupboard" and place to put all the things we want a special place for, LOL Then maybe we'll find them:)
DeleteOh Connie I LOVE him! Can you share where you found the pattern? I'm thinking he would be fun to make in spring colors for Easter! And yes, I've put things in a safe place for later and couldn't remember where...but not as bad as my neighbor! She put all of her good jewelry up before a trip and couldn't remember where she put it for a year and a half! She found it two weeks ago!!! Hey we are having perfect weather in Indiana right now! It's in the 60's! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteCindy
The site where I found it has pulled it. When I went there it said, free pattern not available anymore. Watch your mailbox :)
DeleteThank You!
DeleteOh, I love the Maileg pixies. Yours turned out very cute. I'd leave it out year 'round. It's too sweet to put away for all those months. xo
ReplyDeleteIt would be cute for Valentine's or setting on a red-work quilt:)
DeleteSO SO cute, Connie. And, yes, I think we all have put things up and not remembered that place was. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it frustrating when that happens :)
DeleteI had not seen those pixies. The kids do the elfs though for their kids. I am guilty of forgetting about things also. We are having some beautiful weather here so will dread the cold when it ends. Getting closer to spring all the time though. Enjoy your weekend! Nancy
ReplyDeleteOur days are starting to reach 40 for a few hours each day, so the snow is slowly melting . . . very slowly, LOL.
Deleteso glad you were able to find this cute pattern, I can't tell you how often that safe place gets forgotten around here :)
ReplyDeleteYou may have to leave him out so you don't forget him next Christmas!
I know . . . maybe put an American flag in his hand for summer :)
DeleteOh they are the cutest things. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)
DeleteHi Connie, Your pixie is just great. Someone will be lucky to get a pixie gift from you next Christmas! You picked an excellent title for your blog as you are truly "crafty"! :-) Hope you and yours are having a fine weekend! Best regards from your Seattle friend. John
ReplyDeleteHello John, thanks for stopping by to visit, it is always a pleasure :)
DeleteThat little pixie is pretty darn cute. Do you have Danish family ties? I can imagine how hard stuffing those skinny arms ans legs had to be. Great job!
ReplyDeleteNo Danish ties here . . . British, Irish and Dutch on my side. Reaching the tip of his hat and the tip of his toes where the hardest . . . but I think I'll do it again and make a girl next time :)
DeleteHe's a doll... hadn't seen any in my Christmas forays out and about.. but really didn't go out to many places this year.. he is just the sweetest thing. I can't imagine getting that stuffing way down into this boots and little hands! Isn't red and white the most cheerful thing ever? He just makes me want to chuckle! And what a cute little face. xoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely a cutie. I can see him setting next to a jar of candy canes next Christmas :)
DeleteOh my gosh, I love these little pixies. Yours is darling, Connie. You did such a wonderful job making it. Red and white polka dot, a sweet smile, who couldn't resist this little fellow?
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Sunday.
love, ~Sheri
Thank you, I am happy you like him. Hope that you are having a lovely day, thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteThat is so cute! That is the first one I've seen. Oh Connie, any time I put something in a special place...so I will know exactly where it is...I can never find it again. Glad I'm not by myself. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's it awful how those special hiding places disappear when we want to retrieve whatever it is we put up there, LOL
DeleteVery cute! A lovely accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteJust love this pixie Connie ...
ReplyDeleteHe looks good no matter what time of year it is!
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan :)
DeletePutting my hand up to that one Connie! I have lost many a thing in a 'safe' place!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found the pattern as this is a really cute doll!
Why is it we always forget these safe places . . . the ones that we truly believe we will remember, LOL
DeleteI'm happy that you like my pixie, thanks for popping in to visit :)
Good morning Connie,
ReplyDeleteGreetings from our home away from home. We are in California at the moment weathering all the storms that have passed through this past week. That's a really cute little guy you have made there. Hope you won't be like me and put him in a "safe place" that's so safe you can't find him next year. LOL! Blessings to you.
I hope that I don't either . . . but knowing me, there is always that change, LOL :)
DeleteConnie, just darling. I don't think I could help you find him for next year as that is a problem that I have too. I am starting to make a list of where I put things if I can remember to look at it from time to time.!.Happy Tuesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, One Christmas I started doing my shopping in the late summer. Then to keep anyone from seeing them, I wrapped them early, too, without tags. When I pulled them out of my hiding place, I had forgotten which gift went with which person, LOL. I had to unwrap them all before I could make tags. That's one of the silliest things I've none :) Of course when I wrapped them I knew that I would remember.
DeleteHi Connie,
ReplyDeleteYour pixie is adorable. I love the combination of fabrics that you've chosen. Maybe you could pin the pattern to his back? I have a household full of things that I've stashed somewhere "just to get out of the way." Yikes!!!
Thank you for your visit. Maybe I'll get to play on the weekend and embellish my card a bit! They didn't even give us envelopes to mail them in!!!
Hugs,
Kay
When we moved we also had a huge yard sale . . . I was to a point that I just wanted to throw it away or burn it or do anything to get out of doing anymore moving. Now, when I can't find something, I always wonder if it went in the yard sale or if I should keep looking for it . . . it's a mystery, LOL
DeleteOh I hope you don't put him somewhere and forget him, he is way too cute. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteI hope not either, LOL.
DeleteHe is adorable! You gave him such personality. I like to google search patterns too. It's FUN! Time to look for some bunny patterns too! Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteBunny patterns . . . good idea :)
