Busy, Busy, Busy

Can you guess what this is?

If you guessed an addition to my
Art Barn, you are absolutely right.

Right now it's all work and no play . . .

so much so . . . that I almost
didn't notice these.

In a protected area on the south side
of the house these happy little tulips
decided to show their pretty spring color.

I'm almost too busy to do a post
so this is short . . .
I'll be showing more Barn photos
as our work progresses.

Have a wonderful weekend . . .
Keep Smiling!

Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

  1. Wonderful progress! I love the color of the tulips. So pretty. We still don't have any spring flowers here. It's been too cold and even snowing at times.

    1. I had lent some money out four years ago saying don't pay me back until you can afford to pay the whole amount. Well a year ago she paid me back and i've just been sitting on it wondering what I really wanted to do with it. Then I decided add an addition to my favorite get away . . . the Art Barn :)

    1. I know I saw these and then walked around the house to see if any others were in bloom . . . they look like they are a week or two away from these. Tulips are so pretty and they just make you know that spring is really here.

  11. What's not to love about an extension to the art barn?!? We have tulips all over right now, which is nice because the daffodils didn't really get a chance to bloom. Happy Easter!

    1. Tulips are such a lovely flower and so welcoming in the Spring. It would be nice if they lasted longer, but then maybe they would not seem as special :) Happy Good Friday and Easter :)

    1. The truth is I haven't out grown it, but it's nice to have more space. It does also act as a guest house with the beds in the loft, when our daughter and granddaughters visit. This addition will give me room to turn the other loft into a second bedroom.

    1. Today we have a friend hired to help us put the roof on. At our age we don't do roofs or any jobs that require being on a roof. It's nice to have helpful young friends.

    1. Decorating with be the fun part. I'm basically moving cupboards in from the other section of the barn, to make more room in there. That and getting things down from the second (storage) loft.

    1. Hi Kelly, I wish that you did too. I saved for many years to buy that barn . . . I didn't know at the time what I was saving for, but when we bought this place three years ago and I had room for a Connie space . . . well, that's when I knew what I wanted to do with my savings :)

    1. Hi Connie, thanks for stopping by to say hi . . . I am very excited about my addition. I have enough ideas dancing around in my head for ten additions . . . the trick will be deciding which ones to go with. I like the BoHo look and might paint the inside a mix of bright colors :)
