My Cup Runneth Over

This quilt was made especially for
a young lady that I had never met . . .
until this weekend.
She found me on the internet
and I am so happy that she did :)
You see I have two sons that I never
mention in my posts,
because it is a long and painful story.

But about six weeks ago
I got an email from a young lady
that happens to be my granddaughter.
My son was stationed in Alaska thirty years ago,
and well, things happened that I never knew about.
Her mother didn't tell her until she was grown,
and then she started searching . . .
and found me.
Not only that, but she has a loving husband
and two little girls.
They are the sweetest little family.

Can you believe it?
I have a new granddaughter & two darling
great-granddaughters.

I'm not one for sharing family photos
on my blog . . .
so you have to take my word for it.
She is beautiful!

If you are blessed to live long enough . . .
you find that life can bring you many surprises.

The Lord has a marvelous talent for turning
sad times around and bringing forth
wonderful and magnificent blessing from them.
I am blessed!

Thanks for visiting.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

    1. He does have a plan for us and when we are going through the hard times we need to remember that and know that He is there with us and has a plan. Hard times can built faith and character if we use them as a lesson instead of having a pity party :) It's not easy, but my surprise blessing is a picture of this. Some blessing are in the making for years and years before we know them.

  40. Oh, how special Connie! That is a true blessing. I know you will enjoy getting to know them. Isn't it amazing how the Lord works?

Sometimes negative things we don't understand occur. My husband and I have just had a shocker occur that is completely unwarranted, unfair and we don't understand it but, as they say, it is what it is. As you stated, the Lord does turn things around. He works all things together for good for those who love Him. Thank you for your timely reminder!

    Have a most special day!
