Okay . . . don't get jealous just be happy for me.
Look at the lovely gift
that I received this week in the mail.
This adorable little felted pouch was made
by
Carol Cook
of
Art and Sand
And this was inside!
She did a post on her bathroom
remodel
and I mentioned how much I loved
her bathroom sign.
Later that day I got an email
saying that she had one that she took off
and that it would be in the mail
heading my way soon :)
That's what I call having a big heart.
If you don't know Carol's Blog . . .
then you are missing out.
Here is a link to find her:
Here's a question for you.
Do you know Jo?
No?
Let me introduce you :)
I made two banners this week.
This one for a thank you gift. . .
And this one for a Give-A-Way :)
If you would like to see how I did this:
1. I sandwiched quilt batting between
two pieces of drop-cloth fabric.
2. Made a star pattern in the size I wanted.
3. Carefully cut around them.
4. Then stitched around them
leaving raw edges.
5. Next I stenciled on the letters.
6. After they were dry I sewed them to
ribbon or torn drop-cloth.
If you would like a chance to win this.
All you have to do is:
1. Be a follower of my blog.
2. Leave a comment.
I will draw a name and announce it on
Thursday, Nov 1st.
Thanks for visiting me today
and have a lovely day.
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Banners Connie! Yes please for a chance to enter your gorgeous giveaway but you may not want to post all the way to New Zealand & I fully understand if not. Your little felted purse is so sweet. Happy Week my friend Xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift you got and your thank you gift you are giving is great.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear friend for the shout out. As I told you, the felted patch was to protect the little sign. I'm so glad that it didn't break.

That was a sweet bag and bathroom sign you received. I will have to check out her blog again. I would love to win your banner but whoever receives it will be a lucky recipient. May you have a fun filled week Nancy
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift that would be! Could I be so lucky? And lucky you...I love that pretty little felted pouch.
ReplyDeleteCute banners! Carol is a sweetie. She once sent me a fall banner when she was having a giveaway even though I didn't win. She liked my response so she made me one anyway. I'm downsizing so don't enter me, just wanted to say it's cute.
ReplyDeleteI love your cute banners!
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my Christmas cake, was I going to wrap it up for Christmas....Well, yes, but I should explain that for me Christmas is the entire month of December, so anyone coming to visit during that wonderful season is apt to be offered fruit cake and whatever cookies I've made that week. It's great, especially since all our kids live within 15 minutes drive so we see a lot of family. Sorry for going on and on but I thought I'd explain.
I have never read Carol‘s blog, but I’m going to go over and check her out. Thank you for telling us about her. She was so sweet to send you that beautiful gift. Your banners are so cute! I absolutely love them.
ReplyDeleteMany blessings, Betsy
What a lovely gift and the little pouch so beautifully made. Loved both the banners and would love the chance to win one. Heading over to the blog you recommend now.

ReplyDeleteMorning Connie,
ReplyDeleteLove your cute banners that you made. Sweet!
Also I do read Carols blog and agree she has a lovely blog, and that was really sweet she sent you that sign and the lil felt gift pouch. So many really neat ladies in blogland and such an encouragement to others with their talents and giftedness.
Wanted to thank you for dropping by my blog for a visit as well. It is nice to meet you here in blogland, I saw some of
your quilts and they are just beautiful. Well, hope to have you visit again soon.
Blessings for a great week ahead,
Nellie
Cute banners!!
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful of that blogger to send you such a thoughtful gift :)
No need for you to enter me into your giveaway... reading your cute blog is treat enough for me:)
~K.
What a thoughtful thing for Carol to do.
ReplyDeleteYour banners are so nice.
You and Carol are both thoughtful bloggers. I just came from Carol's post about receiving things from others, and here she is doing what she wrote about. Your banner is adorable, but I don't need to be in the giveaway! Love reading about all your crafting adventures.
ReplyDeleteCarol is the sweetest and very talented with her handiwork, just like you! Of course I would love to be entered into your giveaway. Thank you for the chance!
ReplyDeleteHow clever you are, making that banner. Love the drop cloth material you used and the red check ribbon you attached them the stars to. I'm glad I came back for a second time because I left a comment through my iphone and it hasn't appeared
ReplyDeleteJanice
Your pouch is so sweet! very cute banners, so fun!
ReplyDeleteI do follow Carol's blog and love it. Gives me a little touch of the sea when I'm missing it! Oh for a little cottage by the sea.... sigh. Love your banners and the idea of using dropcloth! You are so clever!!!!! First I thought you had used felt, which would also be cute, stuffed with a little batting, etc. I can see the star banner hanging along the fireplace during December. So sweet. Did you use acrylic paint or a special fabric paint? You know me.. always curious! Have a nice Halloween. I don't suppose you get many trick or treaters but you never know! Hugs.. Marilyn
ReplyDeleteHi Connie :)) Oh, I just made it in time for your lovely giveaway! Please count me in! :)
