Happy Thanksgiving!

I just want to wish all of my lovely
blogging friends
a blessed Thanksgiving.

And share this little banner with you.
So easy with stencils  . . .

And my light box.

This lovely print was one I found at
a yard sale this summer for $3.

The frame was rough, so I gave
it a coat of fresh paint.
I love it :)

Oh, we replaced our kitchen light fixture.
Just before the holidays :)
From this . . .

To this :)

I love a bright kitchen for cooking,
and now I have one :)
Well, this is a small post...
but I wanted to wish you all
a Happy Thanksgiving.

❄❅❆❇❈❇❆❅❄

Don’t be anxious about anything; rather,
bring up all of your requests to God
in your prayers and petitions,
along with giving thanks.
Then the peace of God
that exceeds all understanding
will keep your hearts and minds
safe in Christ Jesus.
 Philippians 4:6-7

  3. Hi Connie, I like your Thanksgiving banner and the picture. I like lots of light in my kitchen too. Love the picture of your kitchen and how you have decorated it. Is that a toaster oven I see in the corner? I don't have one and wondered how and what all you use it for. And do I want to give up counter space for one? Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. My bronchitis is doing better except for a cough. Don't think I am contagious anymore and look forward to going to our daughter's tomorrow and seeing everyone. Blessings to you. Nancy

    1. Hi Nancy, I am delighted to hear that you are feeling better. Not a toaster oven but instead the microwave. We had it on a higher shelf, but I'm a shorty and it was just very award for me and not safe with hot dishes. Now, it takes up more counter space, but is much safer.
Happy Thanksgiving, Have a wonderful time with your family :)

Thanks for the reminder, I have a burlap banner that is empty so I should think up something for Christmas. Your Thanksgiving decor looks really lovely and I am in love with the print. What a great find. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family..Judy

    1. Hi Ann, with the stencils I used craft acrylic paint and on the "Our Neck Of The Woods: I used fabric paint markers. They do not bleed into the fabric like a regular marker might.

  17. Oh girl, I love your yellow kitchen! Also love the touch of red and blue. The pretty new light really shows off your colorful and cute kitchen!

What a neat banner you made, love it! You make it look so easy. It looks wonderful on your mantel. I like how you have two mantels. I can't imagine having a double mantel... I can barely decorate one, lol!

    Have a delightful Thanksgiving~

  20. Happy Thanksgiving Connie and family! I hope you have a wonderful day full of food, family and laughter. I love the banner and as you know, am In LOVE with your white fireplace surround and mantels! It looks so festive and happy and the banner looks so good there. Again, you have inspired me! I made a "spooky" Halloween banner a few years ago out of paper, but the fabric one would be even better (might make one for Christmas)! The print you found and reloved with the (newly painted) frame is so perfect. I love it! Have a wonderful day and enjoy the bright happy kitchen with the new light fixture! Hugs.... Marilyn

    1. Steve and I did it together and I actually did the wiring. It wasn't that hard and from the time we took it out off the box, until we had the kitchen cleaned up and the tools put away was right at one hour :) I know that the two of you could do it too.

  25. Hi Connie,
We do not have a 'Thanksgiving' here...I guess our special day for Families and Friends to get together is on Christmas Day...we do have an 'Australia Day' - though to my way of thinking Christmas Day is far more important to us. That is a great Banner that you have made - very crafty and clever. Best Wishes. KEV.
