One silent night so many years ago,
Our Savior was born.
This Christmas may we remember
God's amazing love
shown through
His Son, Jesus :)
May your Christmas be filled with Joy.
This year I decorated very simply,
so I thought that I would bring up
a few crafts from past Christmas'.
These are two signs that I painted
a couple years ago.
This year I painted a new
picture for the living room.
One year I made this Dickens' top hat
from paper-mache.
And one year I cut up a Goodwill prom dress
to create a Nutcracker ballerina.
Then there was a year that I got
into book page and sheet music art.
This was a surprise gift
for a secondhand book store
owner in our town.
These are old windows from our home.
One year my dear friend Shirley and I
made these from them.
A Goodwill lampshade
turns wind-chime decoration.
Pieces of 2X4 lumber
turned window sill art :)
And this little fellow I made
from a pattern I found
on the internet.
of God's great love . . .
May we remember it each and every day
throughout the new year.
His love is here always,
not just at Christmas :)
Merry Christmas sweet friends:)
Keep Smiling!
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)
Merry Christmas to you too, Connie! Your crafts are very nice; my favorite was the windowsill art, probably because it's the only thing I would come close to being able to make. :) Looking forward to another year of reading posts from you.
ReplyDeleteI love my window sill blocks too. They were simple to make, just 2x4 blocks paint and decoupage. What I like is that they fit on a window sill so nicely and you can make them for any season or theme :)
DeleteSuch lovely decorations. I’m wishing you a wonderful Christmas. Much love and Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteThank you Betsy and the same to you :)
DeleteBeautiful dècor, Connie! Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteThank you and Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
DeleteConnie, is there anything you can't make?
ReplyDeleteI love all the things you create but my favourites today are the new picture you painted for the living room and the wreath made of rolled up sheet music.
Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!!!
Thank you. I have many canvases in storage and since my hand injury I'm not that good at painting, but I still can give it a good try. I decided to start using them and create seasonal art for the living room :) I'm delighted that you like the painting :) Merry Christmas!
DeleteYour home is filled with Christmas magic and beautiful pretties your clever hands have fashioned, Connie. I love all your whimsical sprinkles of Christmas dancing through your home. May you and your family enjoy a most wonderful Christmas, surrounded by love and joyousness♥
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet thank you :)
DeleteMerry Christmas Connie...it would be such fun to craft with you. I loved seeing all your cute things. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI love crafting with friends, but not many of my friends are into crafting . . . it's a shame. I am blessed with one dear friend that loves crafting and quilting and everything that I like and she lives next door, so I truly do not have anything to complain about. Although; it would be lovely if you could stop by to play with me . . . I am sure we would have a wonderful time :)
DeleteYou are so creative, Connie. What lovely things you have produced each year.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is an inspiration, when else do we really decorate in this way?
DeleteWishing you and your Hubby a wonderful Christmas :)
Merry Christmas to you and Steve!! You are so talented. All those things you've made over the years are wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteHello Melba and thank you . . . it's fun to make something new each year. This year has been slow what with this flu bug, but now we are feeling better and ready for a simple Christmas day together. God bless you :)

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day! It's Christmas morning here as I write!
I think that God gives out talents before we are even born and being crafty is one that I have always been blessed with. It has brought me much pleasure through my life. My husband says that I came out of the womb singing show tunes and tolding a box of crayons, LOL. Merry Christmas dear friend :)
DeleteYou are a creative soul Connie. I am thankful for my savior today too. Merry Christmas
